I ended up using an internet cafe later on my trip in Morocco, and they had fast wifi. So that is a possible solution to the slow internet problem. It will depend a lot on where you are. Another possibility is getting a local sim card that will connect you to the faster cell phone towers. The problem with that, as well as getting a roaming wifi device, is that in both cases you get limited data. My video files are anywhere from 5 to 30 gigabytes each, which means that I need hundreds of gigabytes of data for a month of uploading videos. If anyone has any more tips or info on how to deal with slow wifi while traveling then feel free to post a comment below.
You can go just to a cafe, most of them have fiber optic, thats what I do when I want to upload my vids, raids and homes have ADSL cause its cheap its starts form 200dh 4mb/s download (upload is baaaad).
In the past I've noticed that at some hotels I could use an ethernet cable instead of wifi. I found out that it was much faster as wifi. Since that day I always carried a small ethernet cable in my laptopbag.
When I was in Morocco, a few years ago, I bought a local sim card and it worked really good. Good speeds in the main cities, at least. Another thing I generally bring with me when I'm travelling is a portable 4g/3g hotspot with an external antenna. You just put a sim card in it and the reception is generally better than your phone's. Uploading 30 Gb worth of data may be a problem though since these local plans limit how much data you can use (unless you pay for the more expensive plans).
@@artlife5685 How much data do you get? Because my videos are 10-30 gigabytes each and I'm uploading almost every day. That means that I need hundreds of gigabytes of data per month.
In a cafe in the square at 14:00 we watched Morocco play Argentina in a soccer game in March of 2019, with my daughter wearing hijab out of respect, as a thunder storm rumbled through. Great memories.
No need to go out of your way to wear a hijab. Most moroccan girls don't wear it as they know that the hijab was invented to separate slave women from free women
Yes, very colorful. The sun, makes it more colorful. 🌞My favorite color is blue, I bought a,blue carpet in Fez or Marakesh, can't remember which. Still have it after many yrs.🤗
Not only Moroccan cuisine is great, but the moroccan soil is excellent and all Fruits and vegetables taste 10 times better than say … Canada where I live lol
I follow Gabriel for years. He is a a very polite ( I think his politeness has more to do with his Canadian born than being American) individual or as he call himself a digital nomad. He wears an Indian god shirt in a Muslim county. He likes food and restaurants , and historically places but not much shopping centers! He tell good stories and share his expertise to his viewers freely in full! Good genuine man! Amazing how we get to know someone without ever meeting them!
I've just begun to follow Gabriel and am totally onboard...many old episodes to catch up with as well....wow this guy is just fantastic. FUNNY ASIDE: Moray (above) comments notes that he believes Gabriel's politeness comes from his Canadian side....I LAUGHED OUTLOUD. I worked for a Canadian company for the best of my career and as soon as I saw your comment, it hit me.....hE'S RIGHT...ABSOLUTELY FROM THE CANADIAN SIDE. Love my Canadians! Wish I was still working and traveling in your wonderful country, and miss seeing my many Canadian friends.
Where you are born has no effect on your personality--it is where you grew up that influences your personality. Gabriel grew up in America---California. Most Americans are very kind, caring, and polite. The ones who aren't--get all the attention--but they are the minority.
@@margietucker1719 Thanks for straightening out commenter Moray. I have lived my entire life in California and it seems those that come here from other countries just for the money have totally missed what Americana is all about. Americans donate more money to foreign aid than all the nations of the world combined. And the Christian subset of Americans do most of the giving. We build the schools, the hospitals, etc.
Amazing video! I'm really looking forward to this series. I loved watching the local people walking through their town. The narrow paths through the town are so amazing. I'm glad you finally found good internet connection. Hard to do your job without it.
you are definitely right. in the north of Morocco and in particular Tetouan Tangier and Chefchouan and the surrounding area. people are known as nice hospitable people.
Gabriel, thanks for the video, it is a good promotion of Morocco tourism, certainly you have the information about the city or place that you are planning to visit, I would just suggest to check in the internet about Assilah city, it's coastal town, near Tangier, and there is a Portuguese castle, and it's also quite place to visit.
I've loved all of this Moroccan series, followed Gabriel and Indigo Traveller as they visit these countries with respect of the people & culture. With an opened to learn and a humility to share. Love his joy of travel to enjoy the simple things, the details. I must throw these two vloggers some $ at Xmas on their Patreon as I so enjoy their informative positive content. Stay well & keep traveling
The guest house is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth staying just outside the old town. I had a shock seeing 2016 when you were travelling through the Atlas mountains… doesn’t seem that long ago! Morocco is beautiful , take care
According to muslim believe, "Gabriel" is the name of the angel who took the prophet Mohamed from Mecca to Jerusalem then to the seventh sky in one night. However "Gabriel traveler" in few minutes took us through long narow streets of a blue maze to the mountain and the open sky of Chefchawen. What amazing performance !!🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing.
Excellent vlog in this beautiful blue town.. The landscape is great too...as for your hotel room... so much artistic creativity... unbelievable ... People seem to be more relaxed in the north . Thank you for sharing so much light and sun. Best greetings from Paris 🖐
Another great video from another wonderful place. You have been to so many exotic places in this world, Gabe, but I bet you I have been to one place that neither you nor most people have ever been.... Benghazi, Libya. Yep. My family lived there for about year when I was a child. I learned to swim in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Benghazi. Wonderful memories.
WOwwww what a nice beautiful place of Chefchouen, Morocco 😍 It's like A Greece Santorini the houses and buildings are Color Combination blue and white, Wowww love it 😍 ❤️ thank you so much sir Gabe for your wonderful walk around tour there take care stay safe, Godbless u 🙏🙂 from your solid fan supporter viewer from the Philippines sir vhin 🇵🇭 🙂🙂❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👏👏👏👏
Chefchaouen is a perfect place to wander and take photos. ... Chefchaouen is one of the most touristy places I visited in Morocco so two days there definitely felt like enough, but it's so beautiful and unique that it was still worth the journey up into the mountains to see Morocco's magical blue city.

Cool. The old city wall. I was trying to find it one night, but ended up somewhere else by mistake, gave up, and then went on a beer hunt. But I finally got to see it. Thanks
Bro, you're very townbound in this country, every video after video just walking around these medinas endlessly in each new destination, it's all startin to look alike my G. Wassup with your sudden lack of adventure? We wanna see you hit the deserts, mountains, villages, remote areas, ancient joints like in that Roman ruins place. Find some rental car, taxi or by whatever means and get out there, enough of these cobbled streets and carpets and such already, damn!
That town reminds me of one of the Mexican towns that was also hilly, which you filmed while in Mexico. The difference is that the Mexican town was not just blue, but a lot more colorful.
I like the way this video shows some of the city outside of the medina. I was told that my normal ee package wouldn't work in Morocco but then I didn't get charged extra for calls or texts I made there, so I don't know what that was about
Hi Gabriel, It's a good point you brought up regarding WiFi connection there are listing showing coutries with the best connection which belongs to Singapore and the worst belonging to Cuba of course there must be excetions depending on where you're staying.
