And his response on the mic was dreadful, constantly mentioning Jesus like it will save him next fight, Usyk understands Christianity far more. It seems to me that Tyson Fury is guilty of having become complacent in recent years tbh . . . I personally don't believe it when he says he's trained really hard for fights anymore because his conditioning appears to contradict such exclamations and especially in this fight in particular Tyson looked like he was running on empty during the later rounds . . . it's a real shame because he has a great talent but this is definitely not the same Tyson Fury we witnessed dethroning Klitschko in Germany . . . also Team Fury came with completely the wrong fight plan for Usyk, engaging far too willingly at close quarters where Usyk has clear advantages in terms of hand and foot speed, counterpunching ability, timing and movement was not wise. Usyk demonstrated superior conditioning and stamina throughout the fight which played a key role in his victory. Usyk was able to use his excellent physical conditioning to gain a significant advantage by stepping up the pace of the fight at will during the later rounds. With all that being stated though, Tyson Fury can (and should) win a rematch if one goes ahead by using his height, size and reach advantages correctly next time to keep Usyk at range and on the end of a frequent and powerful jab. Kronk style will not work against Usyk as he is too skilled at inside fighting, Tyson Fury needs to use his Boxing Skills to fight Usyk off the backfoot by controlling distance properly, staying out of range and all the time keeping Usyk occupied on the end of a frequent powerful jab . . . the outcome of this fight became immediately obvious to me when I witnessed Tyson's repeated willingness to mix it with Usyk and trade shots at close range but to be fair his bravery certainly made for an exciting and entertaining battle so I can only commend the enthralling spectacle brought forth from the very nature of the bout and the willingness of each man to trade toe to toe and blow for blow. If Tyson Fury trains properly and comes to box rather than fight the next time these two meet in a ring then he will make the task at hand so much harder for Usyk.

I'll have to watch it again to be sure. But I believe in the post fight congrats / commiserations in the ring, Usyk did say to Tyson that he would give him his rematch. An absolute Prince of a man, as well as king 🤴 of the heavyweights.
@@iamjohnbuckley Fury has a choice, he can choose not to take the rematch. Usyk is the one bound to accept it. I will be surprised if Fury accepts a rematch.
Top reflection. I watched the fight in a room with twenty people and general consensus on the result was exactly the same as Carl states here "Fury needed the last round to draw, at best". Fury lost the last, so the rightful winner (Usyk) prevailed. On a side note, I think Fury knew he was the beaten man, but was just thankful to still be standing at the final bell. Personally, I loved seeing the smirk smacked off his face. That round nine will live long in the memory. He was finished, and we all know it. Well done Usyk!!!!!
Looking at the fight, it’s clear why Ngannou managed to knock Fury down TWICE. The fight between Usyk and Tyson really opened my eyes to the fact that despite people doing the same core martial art, everyone adapts it to their own needs and does it differently. Fury PRIMARILY relies on his brute strength to fight, preferring a slower match and using his size to out muscle his opponents, and also using clinches a lot. As such he doesn’t rely on his speed. This is different to Usyk, who is FAR faster when he boxes, applying pressure but ensuring that he doesn’t tire out. He uses combos and his speed to wear down and overwhelm his opponents, and then targets vital points such as their noses. Joshua is a near mix between, leaning closer to how Usyk boxes So how is Ngannou factor into this? As one of the best MMA fighters of this era, his fighting style is a slow one, as MMAs fights are typically slower than Boxing, especially on the ground. However, speed is still there, especially when striking. Simply put every one of these factors explain how Ngannou easily countered Fury’s style. Fury couldn’t outmuscle someone who was too tough, like an MMA fighter. His clinches don’t work against someone who can grapple. And he didn’t have the speed to match Ngannou. All in all, Fury isn’t the best technically fighter and it explains where he lost (IDF what the rigged judges said, he lost) and Joshua didn’t. Usyk just was the perfect person to expose that Fury either isn’t that technically good when factored amongst the best of the best or hasn’t relied on his technical skills for some time. Would Ngannou beat Fury if they fought again? If Fury doesn’t change anything, absolutely Well done for Usyk though. Rounds 4 to around 7 I thought he’d lost the advantage, but he managed to counter Fury’s game via excellent adaption and use his style of boxing to wear Fury out to piece him up
Brilliant Brilliant Analysis. It’s so refreshing to have someone who is completely unbiased in a day and age where bias rules the roost. The Roy Keane of Boxing
Great coverage and account Carl, watched your pre fight analysis of this fight and you were in the minority of people backing Usyk (alongside me haha) have mentioned all the things about Usyk that make him a stoic, admirable man but also formidable and unmovable as an opponent to Fury which watching through pre fight conference was quite evident Fury realised who he was up against. Usyk to me is the old school of fighter, who is able to put all the noise aside and focuses on delivering the task at hand. Truly wonderful and rarity to watch, he's cleared out the heavyweight division and no one around actually now to drive any interest in him facing. 100% with everything you said, he deserves to enjoy thr fullness of his victory and enjoy his life in peace with nothing to prove
I'm in total agreement usyk won the fight. However the ref was correct in his decision making. He ruled a knockdown when Fury grabbed the top rope to keep from going down and gave him a standing 8.The ref gave Usyk the opportunity to knock him out, that's the truth
An absolute disgrace. You can’t say that for a man who fought like a lion, I’m from England and I was the only Englishman in the bar in New York and every single American and 18 American was silent throughout the whole fight. The only time he shouted like a pack of hyenas Was in the ninth round where he was on the ropes and almost done an out. Guess what he never went down his feet. He never laid down and he never gave up. That man is an absolute credit to the white working class man who gets a pretty day and suffers and show people what it’s like to be knocked down and get back up again and you can make the excuses and Train fabricate a comment about the ukraine war . But the only time the people that wanted Dyson to lose the only time he shouted and cheered, was in around nine when he thought he was gone my God, they got a shock when he survived. This man has survived life and everything when people are against him he suffers with anxiety, bipolar depression. He has a children with one on the way, you can see what you’re like everybody knows that win or lose the true lion. Is Tyson Fury now Usyk has to lose

Absolutely correct. It will be sad to see Usyk stop fighting, but he has achieved everything he wanted to, & for me he is just one of the nicest guys in boxing too. He will never be forgotten, just like Lewis, Holyfield, both Klitchsko's & iron Mike. A legend who belongs with the very best ever.
@@graemejones218 ..aggree but id like to see one defence...just one !
Why? He even said in the ring lets run it back lets make money. You guys dont watch anything do you?
I'm not even a massive boxing fan but find myself constantly watching this channel along with The Pain Game.
Both excellent content and, especially in Carl's case, from a source who can give a great and experienced perspective.
Keep up the good work, good luck reaching 100k.
Spot on Carl
Agree 100% with all you said.
Keep up the good work👍
You couldn't look more happier Carl...
If fury had won he would retire, declare himself the goat and won't give Usyk a rematch . Froch said he likes to see Usyk retire now as an undisputed but I believe Usyk is a gentleman who would give fury a rematch.
Neither man has a choice it’s a legally binding clause that the loser has a rematch option. Nothing to do with good manners.
@@iamjohnbuckley in any contract there is always an exit clause but you'll have to pay. That's what froch meant.
@@iamjohnbuckley Contract cannot stop him retiring.
Two Warriors both showed heart and skill the two best men out there Legends Well done both men a Credit to boxing
What a good comment, to many people knocking Fury, he did well and it was a great fight, Uysk rightly won but both fighters contributed to a classic.
Yes, the ref almost looked like he was hesitating, fumbling about, not wanting to stop it but wanting to split them up
Can’t really blame him
The live stream was very enjoyable. I'll be tuning in to the next big fight with Froch.
Well done Carl great episode as usual mate.
Usyk turned Fury into the dad from Stavros Flatley. Had him belly dancing all over the gaff 😂
'belly dancing'🤣🏆😁🍻✌😎
This tickled me😂
😂😂😂😍
Oh yeah. I remember him. 😂🤣😂
Joshua is a near mix between, leaning closer to how Usyk boxes
So how is Ngannou factor into this?
If Fury doesn’t change anything, absolutely
Well done for Usyk though.
Some solid and fair opinions in this!! I felt exactly the same as Froch, great vid
Tyson was saved by the ref in round 9 , best fighter won. Keep up the great work Mr Froch love it, boxing is back in the hands of a true champion.
Indeed…He was out on his feet
Definitely
I'm in total agreement usyk won the fight. However the ref was correct in his decision making. He ruled a knockdown when Fury grabbed the top rope to keep from going down and gave him a standing 8.The ref gave Usyk the opportunity to knock him out, that's the truth
The fight is over 12 rounds not round 9
@@littlefish1167 hence the split decision, it was back and forth but I think if the ref had let him he would have knocked out fury in the 9th .
Frotch always as usual spot on with his boxing advice, predictions and commentary.
Tyson also said that Usyk got Ukraine sympathy points to try and Smear his win. Tyson is an absolute disgrace, glad he lost his 0
I said that would happen before the fight. Every clip I've seen has some comments equating this match with the war going on in Ukraine.
That is boxing. Big emotions. Tyson boxing career is over. Give him a few days to calm down usyk will be given the full respect he deserves.
Ukraine do get sympathy votes in other competitions but not this time.
@@NorthernAtlantic1980s Tyson is an embarrassment to the sport when he comes out with bipolar comments like the Ukraine one. The dude lost his zero fair and square, and yet he still shows little respect to Usyk who beat him. Tyson is a total disgrace
Carl keep going pal, one of the best boxing youtube channels.you deserve that 100 k 👍
The rematch means nothing and is pointless now. The history and records have already been made. It wasn’t controversial, Usyk has proved he’s the Top Man now. What a CV!👏👏👏
@CidersAndReligiousCrusades Its not set in stone. Fury can back away from the rematch if he wants. Usyk is the one that has to accept a rematch.
it was a great fight and there should be a rematch
A good big un Always beats a smaller guy? Usyk, Mike Tyson, Canelo would all disagree.
💯👍
@CidersAndReligiousCrusadesnot a close fight but light work for Usyk. Luke lost to Ngannou and McDermott too this is his 3rd defeat on a pathetic resume. AJ starches him cold.
Congratulations on 100k Cobra!!! Well done for keeping the scene real and holding clowns to account.

Brilliant Carl. Thanks for such good open insightful honest analysis 👍
Nice to see Fury going for an aided walk in the ropes… brilliant. Dying to hear Father fury now
Carl, I agree, you only one besides me who's pointed out that Usyk could've smashed Fury with one major left at the end of the 9th, and a DQ wouldn't have been legit because the ref hadn't jumped in yet. But he held back out of sportsmanship. What class.
Lovely analysis Carl. Great channel.

Brian Milmoe knocked him out in Istanbul in amateurs

Very good and objective coverage of the fight. Thanks Carl
When people say it was a controversial draw, they simply cannot accept the loss of their favourite fighter.
Lets commend Usyk's cutman who made sure the cut above his left eyebrow from the accidental headbutt didn't bleed extensively.
You're right! Nobody talks about that for some reason
It was from a punch the ref called it
@@simonmorgan225the ref has dementia, the cut was from the round earlier - head clash. he didn't notice it until next round, and called it a punch lol
I forgot about that! Was early on too. Just shows that luke couldn’t lay a glove on Usyk.
It was either the headbutt or the uppercut couldn't tell but yeah that cut pretty much didn't bleed at all.
Fantastic analysis Mr Froch. Almost identical to my own impression as well. Not many can be as objective as you can I have to say. Keep it up man.

Never seen Fury hurt like that, another one two from Usyk and he would have been out cold
@JohnFisherChoir
The REF made sure that was not going to happen. Have no idea why he gave Fury an 8 count when he was in the process of being knocked out.
@@FlaThunderstorm it’s cos he was being held up by the ropes apparently
You don’t remember when wilder knocked him on his ass?
wilder had him flat out on his back, you didnt see that mate?

Great video Carl, Usyk is another boxer like you …. Full of respect and great ambassador for the sport of boxing .
He is a great boxer physically and most of all mentally he believes he can beat anyone.
His training vids where he dances and juggles are amazing .

Listen to the watch along and throughly enjoyed it, especially when you called the rule about the ropes holding the fighter up . I wanted to make the point that seems to have been overlooked that is the best Fury has ever looked was when fighting in USA, a place his father can’t go and therefore ruin his focus
