These ladies are quite charming and very much enjoyed this dance! I felt this performance gave each dancer a chance to shine while still remaining very much part of the group. This feels like the sort dance that is choreographed because the dancers "love to dance together" rather than "needed to impress tourists at resort luau"
fantastic i wish i can dance like that i have try and almost hurt myself. It is very difficult to move your hips like that. I cannot walk for two days.and i'm still in pain
Im pretty sure there is no official VDO or eVDO. This is a once-in-a-year show as a school dance during schools dance Heiva (- type "Heiva des écoles" - no contest just performance, end of May,) or as a group competitor during Heiva contest (now). Sometimes they make a CD and keep doing it during fair, in hotels show or on cruise boats. But most of them don't. Dancers & musicians & staff are not paid, it's free except when U do hotels or cruise show.
Where can I buy the CD or the eVideo? I've tried their website, and I've yet to get a response from their contact site on where and how to order. AND it's bloody-hell all in French, so I can't figure it out at all.
It just really irrtates me when people do that. Because they don't do it to be sexy they do it because they respect their culture and want to continue to pass it down from gernerations in the name it was given. The minute people start calling something sexy it turns into a whole different subject.
Please do not call Polynesian dance or belly dance sexy! To me and probably many others that could be insult to the culture. ( I'm not mad but just saying) Both dances are a sacred dance and should be continued to be respected! ( just saying)
Something about Polynesian dancing! Everytime I see it, make me want to go back home. Great video, thanks for uploading. Love the beat!

Well Luau is found in Hawai’i Nei which is still colonized and annexed by the US. In Tahiti everything is choreographed as opposed to the US.
OMG THIS IS REALLY BEAUTIFUL ...!!!
Superb. Really good!

Danielle!! I feel the same way!! I get very offended when people refer to Tahitian dance a sensual or sexy.
