I went to the Flood web site and asked them through customer service via email what the difference was between Aussie and US floetrol. Here is the answer they sent, and they don’t say they’re the same. “Thank you for contacting PPG. Australian Floetrol is based on the US formula but they use their own resins based on the country's VOC restrictions. “ Just FYI for anyone who wanted to know.
Of course I don’t mind. It’s been a little over 6 months since I wrote to them so I couldn’t remember exactly how they put it. Thanks you for putting their exact words here.
Minwax pre stain wood conditioner added to Canadian or American Floetrol turns it to Aussie Floetrol. Its in a red can. 3 drops of minwax to one ounce of Floetrol.
@@teresaroper9993 I don't see how that could be unless there's a water based Minwax wood conditioner (which there may be). I say that because Floetrol is an additive for latex paints and no way any oil based product could be in there for that. BTW, the Floetrol people must have really been scratching their heads when their product started being used in art, lol. Especially because the ratios that pour painters use are far beyond what is recommended in latex paint (maximum 20%). Same for the treadmill silicone manufacturers.
Been watching tons of bloom videos, some from individuals who are to hard to follow. They say the proof is in the pudding and your work is some of the best, as well as your no nonsense approach to schooling us. You seem well organized, not hunting for something during your video. I really, really appreciate the time and care you've put into producing these videos as well as your consistency. Love to see more of your lovely tutorials. I also like that you don't overshadow these videos with loud music, just lots of data. So anyway, thank you very much.
Thank you for doing the experiments! Aus Flotrol is crazy to get. Tiny bottle is only 17$ USD but shipping is almost $70! You've made my day. Thanks for always testing and experimenting and then sharing to the rest of the community. 😁✌❤
You are very welcome Sara, I love to experiment and I have gallons of the US floetrol myself. The AUS floetrol for a liter I get for about $60-70 including shipping from Wholesale Paint but The Fluid Art Company will carry it soon too and they are stateside .. if you ever want to try it 😉 .. but I’m really liking what I see with the US floetrol now too 😃🤗💜
I’m just saying that it will send it responses are the ingredients are not the same. Well if that is the case I don’t think it’s mine and breakdown the Aussie formula and use the same ingredients? Unless they already have and there in lies in history that we all refer to
Just love your tenacity! Also your willingness to spend your money on materials to experiment. I taught jewelry with a new material which WAS fine silver particles which were used mixed with a binder to create a silver clay. When fired in a kiln all the binder burned out and left a silver piece of jewelry. It was a period which required constant experimentation and reinvention of suitable tools. Money, money, money but very rewarding. That’s what you are doing for the painting world. It’s a bunch of work and loads of money. We did it because we loved making silver jewelry and loved passing on the knowledge. So thank you for doing this so faithfully for the paint pouring community. Good on you! THANKS
Haha! You hit the nail on the head, Marlynda, I may have a small fortune in my studio but it’s so worth it and I just love doing it period! I’m so glad it helps everyone 😃🤗💜
TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!! I can hardly wait to try this method - I am new and I am still having the little buggies in my tummy - Thank you for your knowledge
You are so much fun to follow. It makes me laugh when you laugh. It’s obvious that you just love what you do. Thanks for the excellent explanation of what you are doing and how you do it. You’re the best! Paint on sister!❤️
Day late, but, Jody, you have made more sense than anyone else I e watched. Thank you. I am so new to this, wondered why I was failing at blooms and swipes.🤗🥰😵💫
Jodie, this is a terrific video and it's really wonderful news that we can use our local US Floetrol to achieve - hopefully - equally beautiful cells and results as you got here. Amazing and thank you so much for your experimentation, which helps us all so much!
You’re so welcome, Kimberly 🤗 I was shocked when I was testing it off camera and I still get that holy cow feeling when I use it like wait what?! It can be a little finicky but totally can work! Have fun with it! 😃💜💜
Hey, thanks for your contributions. I just wanted to point out, though: Amsterdam paint (at least their Titanium White, & I’d guess others with a similar density work similarly, but certainly I’ve seen numerous tests with the Titanium White) is very commonly used/sought after in the acrylic pouring world precisely because Amsterdam Titanium White can be used as an extremely effective cell activator without any kind of floetrol. The good tests I’ve seen (I think Gee Pours & LeftBrainedArtist do some of the most rigorous, but I haven’t delved into all of ShelleyArt’s testing vids- I’m sure they’re great too) used Amsterdam Titanium White with just water to thin to an optimal consistency [the exact thickness of which I’m sure depends relative to the viscosity/thickness of your other paints]. In fact, the more I’ve read up about it & listened to TH-cam videos like Gee Pours, the more I’ve found that it seems as if a lot of pour artists who know a lot & have a lot of experience in this medium/field seem to swear by Amsterdam Titanium White as one of, if not THE best option for a cell activator. I don’t know whether an opaque Amsterdam black holds up as anywhere near as effective for this purpose, so maybe if you want black or other colors or lacing/webbing between your cells, you’re still better off using an [ideally Australian] floetrol-heavy mixture with a bit of some other paint for pigment, but at least when it comes to white cell activators, Amsterdam Titanium White seems to be at or near the top of the list, even just with the right concentration of water mixed in. If anything, while maybe a little Aussie floetrol would make it even better (not sure I’ve seen that tested), US floetrol, being so far from ideal, might actually just be watering down the effectiveness of the Amsterdam white… Although I supposed if someone has some US floetrol you just want to use up, it’s a way of getting good, closer to Aussie floetrol quality results while still using it up (just make sure to strain it, as you said)… But it also runs the risk of being a waste of Amsterdam Titanium White, & lowering the quality from what it would be with it alone (so I’d go easy on the Amsterdam if you do this & have a very limited supply). Anyway, that’s not to say it invalidates your recipe by any means- if it works then it works, & US floetrol isn’t exactly hard to come by, so it’s good to know it’s an option. However, as far as a US floetrol experiment/test is concerned, it doesn’t really tell you/us anything about the viability of US floetrol itself as a cell activator, because of course if you mix pretty much any fluid with an extremely effective cell activator like their Titanium White (even just water, but also rubbing alcohol, pouring medium, etc.) in a viable proportion that doesn’t ruin the better cell activator, it’s still going to produce impressive cells, regardless of how much or little the worse constituent component contributes- as is proven by the fact that Amsterdam Titanium White & plain old water works extremely well, whereas water on its own generally won’t contribute to producing any cells. That is, unless there’s an oil present, such that cells can be produced by the repulsion & separation of oil & water-based solutions, as in the silicon oil method, rather than by the Rayleigh Instabikity effect produced by differing densities of fluids, like how floetrol & Amsterdam white both work, creating variation among the densities of the different paints]. Anyway, that’s my impression! Hope any of that is helpful. I’d be fascinated to see you compare Amsterdam Titanium White mixed with various fluids in various proportions, along with US vs Aussie floetrol in varying proportions. For instance, Amsterdam white & water in a 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 ratio (I don’t know how high or in what increments it’d make the most sense to go), but then the same with MinWax, the same with each floetrol, & really get to the bottom of what are viable & what are optimal options for cell activation.
Thank you, Jodie, I like the way you provide your presentation. Your videos are fun. You are all about the painting and not full of yourself. Your talent is admired. You are easy to listen to, easy to follow what you say and are kind and humble. I’m new to pour painting (only have made 2 ring pours), learned a lot so far. I have watched probably hundreds of videos. I always seem to come back to yours. Again, thank you.
Hmmm, this almost solidifies my theory that the difference between the two is that the Australian version is just super concentrated. I've done quite a bit of research and testing as well and thought it might be a ptfd lube in the aussie stuff, but perhaps it's just super concentrated which is why it sells for so much more. A mystery we may never know! 😂 Nice work Jodie! Thank you!
I’m still super curious about the difference myself! I’m glad I’m getting the US floetrol to work but I still want to figure this out haha! Someone mentioned that the labels the US floetrol says for latex paint and the AUS floetrol says for acrylic paint. They both totally want to make cells just a little differently. Oh well, as you said it may be a mystery we may never know .. but I’m not done trying 🤣🤣 .. thanks so much Diane! 🤗💜💜
Oh man Jodie! You made me go back to my notes and all the product data sheets and msds for the US, oz, & UK flood products and what I gather is this.. So they each uses a vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion, just like what's used in flat through semi gloss paints. US lists it as a vinyl acetate/butyl acrylate copolymer emulsion but there are many manufacturers of these polymers/copolymers, so even though they might be using the same "compound", the ingredients are coming from different suppliers, different countries, etc.. If you look up different vinyl acrylic emulsions, you'll see that have different viscosity, specific gravity, etc.. I think the difference in the aussie and us stuff must be due to the SG and viscosity difference, which is why it takes much more us floe to reach the power of the aussie floe, because aussie is thinner (bigger cells)... Have you ever used a paint sprayer.. They give you this type of funnel on a hook to test the viscosity of your paint after thinning. Have you done a drip test which both floes side by side? In guessing Ozzie floe drips faster... I'm supposed to be working from home right now ha ha but later tonight or tomorrow, I'll give it a shot.. It's probably "that simple". Sorry if that wasn't in English, I kind of rushed it while I'm "working"! 😂
@@MyMojosRisin No, no this is so awesome, Diane, and totally makes sense! I had a hunch that this might be the case and you just confirmed it 😃😃 .. that’s why the flood company says no it’s the same because the ingredients may be but different manufacturers of it, TOTALLY, makes sense! Ha! You cracked it girl 🤗💜
I really went at it hard for a while! I drove myself nuts trying to find the big secret ingredient! 😂 I've got a feeling that a little extra us floe plus a little H20 will get it to the same velocity as the aussie stuff. It was pretty interesting research but there are so many variables at play.. Temp being a big one.. Anywho, fb has me in jail for 15 more days of my 30 day sentence so I'm going through some sort of FOMO not being able to comment or like anything in Shelee's group! 😂 😂 😂 Thank God for TH-cam and paint to keep me busy! Can I send you a fb message later? They haven't shut me up there yet lol
@@MyMojosRisin I was also wondering if adding a little water would help more. I don’t like adding water period but I know Amsterdam works well with water so I may. Temp is totally another variable! Sure, totally message me on fb whenever. Sometimes I can’t get back right away but I certainly will! 😃
I miss you Jodie ❤I remember this one when you actually did it You still have people who are watching you.. Please come back 🙏I hope all is well with you
You’re so welcome, Debbie, thank YOU! I was bound and determined to get our floetrol to work by itself and just kept thinking about it like there has to be a way. When I saw Lisa’s video it clicked like wait a minute! 😃 .. I do love to experiment haha!! 🤗💜💜
Did she say she uses house paint as the pillow. Did i miss her saying what it's mixed in some ratio with something else? I've watched a hundred videos like this. Phenomenal work btw. But not one so far has described a full description of what I feel is necessary knowledge. Like fluid dynamics, science behind it, and always seems to leave out at least one important bit of info that when i get a certain point I'm like 'wait. I don't know what's happening here.'. It's all good I guess. I mean maybe they're making a living this way or maybe a lot of these videos are geared more towards people that already know all that stuff. Every art practice is a little vexing at first. But it took me a decade to teach myself to become a professional gemstone artist. Because people that I reached out to would only give me bits and pieces of information. It was a competition thing you know. But since then it's been 25 years and because of that I have helped people in-depth with every last tiny detail and consideration in conversation or over the internet for free. Because my experience was like I said so vexxing. I promise when I understand this I'll do the same thing. Again, mind blowing work! I love Howie you seem so genuinely mind-blown and joyful at what you're doing. I feel that way when I create good stuff too. That's The payoff for all the hard work experimentation learning etc. Beautiful!
Amen, For some tutorials, the person asks a question and is purposefully either sent down the wrong path or not answered at all. String art tutorials are famous for this. This lady, does not appear to want to participate in any of that. Painted dreamer is pretty straightforward and strikes me as having some science education behind her. And the reason your not getting a science tutorial behind most of these tutorials is they don't know the science behind it.
@@janiceveline3681 or maybe they know in some way more experiential they either can't put into words or don't even know they should. I'm a very logical thinker and am only intuitive once I learn a thing so that it's part of me. Until i understan. This is something that inspires me. If i become expert at this, same as i am with gemstone cutting, I'll make a short series of videos detailing all the things we feel are left out. I've done this numerous times with other gemstone carvers in long conversations and believe I've saved them years of time that i spent figuring things out for myself. I was raised in classical music performance. It's an unspoken expectation that a as master of playing that you take a student. One at minimum and show them everything possible so that they'll be well able to contribute to the world of art and music optimally. I fully agree with that. Btw how are your paintings coming out? Satisfied at all? I've done about 30 small ones and feel like I'm only scratching the surface of understanding and ability. Know any good resources to learn from. Chat GPT 4 has been helpful but you have to know the language to get the best return results. I like people better Cheers
I think more often than not individuals are not forthcoming with their knowledge. It goes back to even sharing a recipe for something when asked. I feel that the majority of these types feel that someone success will damage the success of themselves. Some of it stems from knowledge won through a lot of work and just dumping it into someone elses lap seems to easy. I understand to some extent but then should one feel this way, well, simply put, don't teach. Of course this goes against my grain because we should all mentor if we have done our jobs and learned as it is a primary function of bettering society and contributing to the skill of others. I totally agree about music. It is a disciplined approach with a tremendous payoff when one is swept away with its beauty and cooperation. Only thing maybe a little more lovely is doing music in perfect timing to pyrotechnics. Nice to chat with you. Oh my art, well, this painting is coming along, but boy am I messy. I am constantly cleaning up paint. I haven't quite achieved what I am after. It is so random. Different than most other mediums that I use in that respect.@@wanparaph
... just when I think you couldn’t help me more, you go and do this little number.. I have only used the the US brand. I’ve changed and changed my cell activator. My cells just haven’t floored me yet. And now I can see why. Awesome as always 😉☺️ back to mixing I go 😂
Thanks so much for taking the time to show us. The secret sauce everyone is looking for, I am going to try it out. Will let you know my results. Have a great day pouring, thanks again 😁
Ericka Hughes from Ireland has a recipe of 1 teaspoon to 3 or 4 Tablespoons of American floetrol. I finally got cells with that recipe. You are a great teacher.
Oh that’s awesome Linda I’m glad to hear it! I wasn’t aware she did this but it makes sense as that’s roughly about the same amount it translates to 9:1 or 12:1! 😃🤗💜
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Eric, my channel has a lot of experiments on it where this technique is concerned so enjoy the journey and thank you so much for your kind words 🤗🌺💜
Great and informative video Jodie! I can see that this can save people quite a bit of money if they want to go the U.S. Floetrol route. Thank you so much for all your wonderful experiments, and for sharing it with all of us. ☺
You’re so welcome, thanks Deonna! Totally! This is definitely another option now I feel. May need a bit more fine tuning but definitely an inexpensive option and it’s just as beautiful! 😃🤗💜
Okay I just found you and I am quite obsessed!!! Your work is beautiful and unique and I can not get this to work for me! Lol I have just kind of winged it and that just doesn't work...guess I need to really go back and watch your tutorials! I'm looking forward to learning more and hopefully being able to create cells like you have done...I love it! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into every one of your videos! It's definitely appreciated!
You’re welcome Christy and welcome to my channel 🤗 please check out the playlists as they will help you navigate a bit more with the tutorials and mixing videos. Jodie...I went back to watch this video. It is so great! What I like most about you, is your zest for beautiful color and great results. I have learned so much. Thank you sooo much for sharing the "who you really are," the joy you see in color, and the great results of fluid art. I am very inspired by you to master this medium. Thank you! Have a good day! 😘 Karen Sent from Yahoo Mail
Definitely something different between the two floetrols. I poured each into separate semi-transparent bottles and let them sit for several days. The US floetrol separated and a lot of a transparent yellowish fluid rose to the top. The Australian floetrol remained the same. I siphoned the yellowish liquid out and thought to test what remained but I don't have any positive experiences with the blooms to test. I took a photo and might post it on Shelee's Facebook page.
Interesting that the AUS floetrol doesn’t separate. I knew the US did because I’m always having to shake it in my squeeze bottle to incorporate .. I’d be curious to see what happened after you tested the separated liquid Marie! 😃
Incredible! I'm as excited as you are! Wooohooooo! I have US Floetrol and this is the recipe for me! I'm so excited! Absolutely beautiful! Wow wow wow!
I seriously couldn’t believe I got it to work haha! It can be finicky so if it gives you trouble try thinning a little more. Some have even added just a few drops of that minwax Prestain and it worked a little better but my goal was to get it to work by itself 🤗 have fun with it Catherine! 💜
So confusing for newbies. It sounds like there's different recipes. But can you give an idea. Such as put flowtron in base coat. What percent? 1:3 ? Or drops and play with it? Thank you.
@@marthareid9226 This technique can be a bit confusing and is a bit more advanced than some of the other fluid art techniques. Please check the description box of each video as I give alot of detail as well as ratios there. You might also want to check out video 36 which is a beginners tutorial on the technique I do, it’ll give you an idea of the components of the technique and how to go about it. There are a lot of recipes on this channel because I like to experiment, and there is more than one way to go about it and also some products may not be available for some folks so I give a variety so everyone can try it. I recently did a US floetrol series (videos are in the 190s there are 4) where I tested it as pouring medium, cell activator and pillow and got good results. Hope this helps 😊
NOTE: If you aren’t able to obtain either the US or Australian floetrols, try other options for cell activator like Amsterdam paint & water mixed thin or even silicone , this is your art, have fun with it!! 🤗💜
Okay, tried the 10-1 American Floetrol for the CA, and this was the FIRST time I actually HAD lacing!! WoooHoooo!!! Was on a roll, so did rapid fire three in a row(8x8", and two 10x10"), and ALL turned out as keepers! THANK YOU for experimenting with SIMPLE recipes my brain can actually follow!!! I can finally say 'I DID A BLOOM!!!!'
Madam i m very very thanks for your marvelous abstract paintings this is first video iwas watching thats beautiful paintings v much appriciates lott of thanks
@@LS-zg4hx Yep, I’ve done a few on canvas also, the swipes turn out much better lol! I’ve got a video slated for Wednesday where I do both a bloom & a swipe on canvases with this mixture ☺️
Another great video! I just want you to know that your videos have helped me so much. Straight to the point and detailed. Thank you for all your experimenting and educating.
I enjoyed watching this instructional video, you’ve done a lot of experimenting to show subscribers how to achieve a successful result using American floetrol. I’m feeling very lucky to be living in Australia where we have access to the Aussie floetrol easily. Your test results were stunning, keep up the great work! 🥰
I'm a beginner and followed along with you making the cell activators. I never get the same results as other artists. I think it might have something to do with my environment. I live in the high desert and its an average of 3% humidity. Still, your formula works better than any I've tried to date. (a whole 6 weeks worth) Thanks so much for this info and I love your works!
Your environment can definitely play a role in your results for sure. I’m so glad I’ve been able to help you with achieving your results it’s absolutely my pleasure! Thank you so much Angelis! ☺️🤗💜
You’re very welcome Nancy! It can be finicky so if at first you don’t succeed it just may need adjustments. I notice it’s temperamental with other pouring mediums but I really think there’s something to that Amsterdam paint also. I’ve heard even just using Amsterdam paint and water will work for cell activator. I plan to test that this year 🤗💜
Hi Jodie, they are absolutely gorgeous. Fantastic video, very informative. Thank you so much for sharing your time, talent, and your creativity with us. As always my friend looking forward to your next video, kind regards Pamela 😘❤
First time ridding you site. Really enjoyed your site. Was very enjoyed the ease and description . Very new to this hobby. Will follow your site for sure. Thanks
There is definitely a difference. The US floetrol separates as it sits, the AUS doesn’t appear to. And someone else mentioned that the US floetrol is for latex paint and the AUS for acrylic paint (says on labels) .. maybe that’s the difference? But they are both known to make cells in the pouring world just differently. And it smells different haha! 🤣😃🤗💜
Thank you Jodi. I love your attitude and your sense of curiosity! I can't tell you how much I appreciate you. I will give US Floetrol another shot (although I'm not all that good with even the Aussie Floetrol!)
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤I AM SO EXCITED TO USE THIS RECIPE! I just found it, after a year and a half of watching numerous videos, and spending more on shipping than the actual cost Of. the Australian Floetrol!!!!!!!! Great job!!!!!!!
Thank you Selina 🤗 give it a go and see how it works for you. It can be very finicky depending on the PM you are using with it but it definitely can work, you may just need to adjust a little. I’ve also experimented with using half and half, Australian & US floetrol to make the Aussie stuff last longer (video 134) and I did a video series on just US floetrol. If you want to check out my playlists you can navigate a little better that way 🤗 have fun 💜
Thanks for the video, this info is great to know I hate the smell of the Minwax wood cond. so learning this is wonderful. The paintings are beautiful too and I love your videos, I learn so much. .
Thank you so much Jodi!! I know I'm not the only one that's going to be able to save some money using this recipe!! You are a lifesaver!! And...even tho they were tests pieces they turned out beautiful!! 💜💙 Thanks for sharing your knowledge!! 💙💜
Thank you so much for sharing this information I am just starting to do pour painting and I am 83 so anything you can share with me is really appreciated 😊 thanks again

I also recommend if you are interested in the blooms technique to check out video 36, it’s a beginners tutorial and kind of explains all the components I use. It’s definitely different than other more traditional fluid art techniques but can be very rewarding. Have fun! 💜💜
Thank you for this video. I am struggling with the blooms and most recipes out there are too complex, this recipe is simple and best for us beginners. Thank you so much 🙏
You’re welcome! Check my video number 188 too I was experimenting with floetrol as a PM too and got it to work. For cell activator it’s best to use Amsterdam paint, there’s just something about it but for pouring medium I used other brand paints. Have fun on your journey 💜
I appreciate this video so much! Living in Canada, it’s been extremely challenging to get Flood Floetrol due to the pandemic. I FINALLY got a call to pick mine up and it has been months and months. I’m happy to find this video today after asking hubby to pick up some minwax wood conditioner. I just sent him a text to cancel that - I’m gonna try your method first! The painting gods sent me your video today, and you just earned yourself a sub! THANK YOU!!!❤️❤️❤️
You’re very welcome I’m so glad to be able to help! If you have trouble with the floetrol at the higher ratio for CA then give the wood conditioner a try but if you are using floetrol for everything you should be ok. Have fun! 💜💜
Amazing results. Cannot wait to try this recipe. You are so awesome in your precision in testing and sharing your expertise! My blooms are so very terrible. I scrap about half of my attempts, and the ones I keep are so pitiful I just can't even bring myself to post them on the Shelly Facebook page. My consistency is so off I cannot even think what to change.....pillow, paint, or ca. Probably all three.
Thank you so much Marsha! Totally give it a go, I was super surprised myself! Since you are part of the Shelee Art group have you considered a 1 on 1 with one of the admins to help you with your consistencies? Maybe something to think about anyway as there is a fee but I’ve seen fantastic results come out of it! 😃🤗💜💜
I'm very new to pouring and was actually overwhelmed with all the additives.. You just pulled me out of the fog. If this is all I need I'm all over this... Thank you so very much 😁
Thank you so much for sharing, your enthusiasm is contagious and I can’t wait to try. I’m a newbie so everything is new I just loved the way you explained and measured everything out. Looking forward to watching all your videos.
This is neat, Jodie. My Floetrol stopped working, period. It's about a year old so maybe that's why. But I like the cell results I get with cheap paint and water. I have added wood conditioner to the water and that works too. The whole painting doesn't get covered in cells when I blow, like yours does, but I like it anyway.
Thanks Marlene! I’ve heard there’s been bad batches of the floetrol but I’m so glad you are getting the cells you want using paint & water 😃. There’s really something to that wood conditioner too, stinky as all get out but it makes really nice cells! 🤗💜
Oddly, while looking over the product data sheets and msds sheets, I noticed shelf life in two different copolymer emulsions as being 6 months and 12 months. That will def play a role in how well they work or not.
I had tried all different types of recipes and when I used nothing but paint and US Floetrol I simply had the best results! Still experimenting but I had not been that excited in a while.
Hi Jodi. I know you posted this video over a year ago, but I was looking for a recipe for my paints to make them behave. I followed your video to the letter and I made the most beautiful painting I’ve ever made in my life. Please keep your videos up for newbies. i’ve been trying to get my paint to behave for the past two years. God bless you for sharing… 💖🙏
Aww I’m so glad to hear this that I was able to help corral your paints 🤗. Your environment also plays a role in how your paints behave so keep that in mind as the weather changes even outside. Warmer = thinner paints, cooler = thicker paints, higher humidity = longer drying times 💜
This is fantastic news!!! I’d rather not spend 4x for Aussie Flo! Can’t wait to try this as well! Appreciate u dearly! Thanks bunches!! Knowledge is power! & luv watching ur videos ! Great job!! ✌🏼
The US floetrol can work just as well 🤗 I did a couple videos doing a showdown between this recipe at the higher ratio and then the one with the Minwax added and they both worked well. The bloom showdown video is 131 and then the swipe showdown video is 136 if you want to check them out. Have fun! 💜
Thank you for being persistent working with the US Floetrol. I love the results you are getting, it’s exciting to watch lol. I’m glad the Australian version is available now in the US but it is still not cost effective for most of us. For now tho’ I don’t mind waiting anymore since seeing the results. 🤗💖
You’re welcome Mindy! The AUS floetrol is easier to use but I’m happy the US floetrol works well too, when it’s behaving lol! It can be finicky at times but does work. Give it a go and let me know how it works out for you! 🤗💜🤗

I also like that you don't overshadow these videos with loud music, just lots of data. So anyway, thank you very much.
THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES.
I HAVE US FLOETROL, A GALLON AND NOW I HAVE THE RECIPE.
HUGE DIFFERENCE ADDING 10TSP TO ONE PAINT TSP!!!
THANK YOU 🎉
Thank you for doing the experiments!
Unless they already have and there in lies in history that we all refer to
😳😧😵💫
Thank you for sharing your experiences and results! Your video was valuable and I appreciate your commentary! Happy Painting❤🎉
Excellent video !! Molly from Molly’s Artistry did this a year ago with great success too!
Thank you so much Karen! Oooh I’m going to have to go find her video and check it out! 😃🤗💜
I’m so glad I’ve been able to help Georgann. It can be tricky for sure but eventually it clicks and your like oooohhh that’s it! 💜💜
A girl after my own heart with the experiments. Well done. I love how excited you are.
I really can’t help it haha! It just fascinates me 😃💜
@@ThePaintedDreamer You two are the King and Queen of experiments.🤗
You’re welcome Jamie and thank you! Have so much fun on your fluid art journey 💜
Nice work Jodie!
I love how you can laugh at yourself. ♡ thank you so much for your excellent teaching. You have nonidea how much I appreciate it.

This has been the most informational video I have watched so far.
I’m glad it helped Penny, thank you 🤗🌺

You are now our hero! Thank you so so much. We love that you love to experiment, Ha.
I like people better
Cheers

Wow, that one looked like a hummingbird! 😍😍😍
It did didn’t it, thank you Rachel 🤗🌺
Ericka Hughes from Ireland has a recipe of 1 teaspoon to 3 or 4 Tablespoons of American floetrol. I finally got cells with that recipe. You are a great teacher.
Oh that’s awesome Linda I’m glad to hear it! I wasn’t aware she did this but it makes sense as that’s roughly about the same amount it translates to 9:1 or 12:1! 😃🤗💜
Just hearing your excitement over the cells has me smiling right now. Thanks for sharing what you’ve learned. I’ve always wondered how this was done.

Aww you are very welcome Karen and thank YOU so much!! 💜💜💜🤗
@@ThePaintedDreamer once I have success with the blooms (consistancy, etc.) I will experiment.

Aww thank you so much Bron! You lucky duck you 😃. I was determined to make ours work alone and was actually stunned that it worked so well! 🤗
Wow Jody, I'm sooo excited to try it.
Thank you so much, Jodie. This will probably save me hours of frustration.

I'm glad you did this I've been wondering the difference! THANK YOU!!!

Thanks Kathi! I can’t help myself, my mind is constantly thinking of tests to do haha! 😃🤗💜
Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us. All the pieces are beautiful. Love the video.
You’re very welcome, Dee, thank YOU so much! 💜🤗💜
I'm very new to pouring and was actually overwhelmed with all the additives.. You just pulled me out of the fog. If this is all I need I'm all over this... Thank you so very much 😁
You’re welcome, I hope it works out well for you and have fun 🤗
Thank you so much for sharing, your enthusiasm is contagious and I can’t wait to try. I’m a newbie so everything is new I just loved the way you explained and measured everything out. Looking forward to watching all your videos.
You’re so welcome Rebecca I’m so glad 🤗, have so much fun on your art journey! 💜💜
Tfs! Your tests are so helpful for us beginners! Best wishes Laura x
I’m so glad they’re helpful Laura, thank you! 💜
@@MyMojosRisin Thank you very much, Diane.
Good to know Diane!!
Jodi, thanks for sharing this information. This is exactly what I needed to try blooms.
You’re so welcome, Irma I’m so glad it helps! 🤗💜🤗

I had tried all different types of recipes and when I used nothing but paint and US Floetrol I simply had the best results! Still experimenting but I had not been that excited in a while.
I’m so glad paint and US floetrol has worked out well for you Barbara! 😃🤗💜
Thanks!
Where is it available now just out of curiosity?
@@babybear4524 In the description box under each of the videos are links to where you can get the Aussie floetrol. The fluid art company sells it, they are here in the US. If they are sold out I buy directly from Australia at the Wholesale Paint Company.
Your such a good teacher Thanks
You’re welcome Rosemary, thank you so much! 💜💜
Beautiful! I’ll have to try this recipe. Thanks Jodi.
Thanks Sherry! Totally give it a go, I hope it works out well for you! 🤗💜
