Excellent manouever by the Captain. It isnt easy to stern park with limited space and strong onshore wind. The broad ship side has a very high windage area. The vessel must have an excellent fully equipt handling capabilities.

Katso vaikka tuollainen 5 big waves you wouldn't believe, niin sitten aletaan kysyä merimiestaitoa.
I'd see that Baltic Princess was on her way to Mariehamn but then it was turning at kobba Klintar and then was supposed to go for Långnäs but turned there also so she didn't go to Åland at all.
Vectorifix Thank you very much, totally fascinating, this is the first time i have seen this. 5 to 20% fuel saving would certainly add up pretty quickly. I wonder how much the initial outlay would be? Thanks again Victorifix, great link!

No, this is where they stop (”half way”) in Mariehamn, Åland (which is a Swedish speaking self governing island belonging to Finland). The boats’ shops are tax free when they stop there because Åland didn’t join the EU tax union.
Thank you. I sometimes forget that some beautiful countries do have island parts if their country. So, when I hear transporting people with their cars that made me understate why ferries thus size are there. Again, thank you for sharing this understandin

In the states here I have seen small platform boats that have cars on them transporting to an island portion like up in UP Michigan and up in the east and as well as in Washington where Seattle is. God Bless the people that still have to travel for work and the hospital worker staff as the world is fighting this global virus.
@@MrFinlandsuomi Thank you, I looked this up and understand what it's function is now but I think a certain price is paid in terms of aesthetic appeal of the ship.
MrFinlandsuomi Viking Line has announced that they will install two rotor sails on the new ship, Glory. Very wise, saves fuel and will give additional help in meeting the tightening enviromental demands.
Viking Grace. How could they destroy the esthetics of that ship by adding that UGLY GIANT TOILET ROLL on the top deck. It's so ugly I cannot even find words.
I would say saving energy cost and pollution to the planet is well worth it. The second thing that popped in my mind after reading this comment was how the titanic didn’t want to run the aesthetics of their ship by having too many lifeboats onboard. At least that’s one of the reasons did I remember for not having enough lifeboats, if it’s correct.

Stor skillnad på Grace och Amorella, Amo kränger rätt kraftigt medan Grace ser väldigt stabil ut. Utvecklingen har gått framåt helt klart.
