I'm doing first year business, but i've been growing more and more interested in corporate law. I'm currently watching all this kinds of videos in TH-cam and yours has so far been the best and most informative, great work man
You are coming out with these videos at the perfect time. I'm doing my leaving cert this year and am still trying to figure out what I want to do and this video and your last one are really helpful.
Eve Lana Thanks so much for watching and commenting Eve! Really glad you found this helpful as you try and figure out what you want to do! Let me know if you have any questions 🤗🤗
I am starting my first week in a Corporate firm as a first year Associate next week. This video just gave me a boost of becoming a badass corp lawyer! Keep it up and do more interviews with these experienced legal practitioners.
I used to sleep at 6am in my last year in uni just because I would only have one long break which was the morning instead of lots of small breaks. Biggest mistake! I can't believe I disrespected my body like that. Your videos are really inspiring btw. I'm also due to start my course in 2021. Using your videos as . I know it's gonna be harder than my masters but it's going to be worth it.
I’m still deciding between becoming a corporate lawyer and getting a business management degree or going into medicine and learning psychology idk though it really is making me consider cause I love travelling
One piece of advice, don't take the route of business lawyer, it is not as great as it seems unless you are aware of all it entails (lack of sleep and social/personnal life etc) and accept it 100%
bro great content, i just looked you up on linkedin and figured that you're a future trainee at CC, can you do more videos on how to get into CC- what did it take- how much preparation- list of resources that you used etc
It is hard to find a lawyer that does not overcharge and that actually represents and listens to the facts one tells them instead of creating their own scenario.
We have some very difficult neighbors that are very hard to deal with the easement we share to be reasonable, calm and respectful. Spoke to 3 real estate lawyers that said we are being appropriate and the other party is not.
Well there are set schemes with law firms when you get to university, so I would definitely recommend applying for those! However, before that, you should actively try and find lawyers, especially at smaller firms, by looking online at firms in your area and also trying to connect with people on LinkedIn. Go out of your way to speak to any lawyers you can possibly come into contact with - for example, my parents are teachers and knew a school parent who was a lawyer and asked him if he would speak to me for 30 minutes on the phone... that led to a week’s work experience. Everyone has the ability to actively pursue conversations with lawyers, so hunt down those opportunities, be inquisitive when chatting to the lawyer and experience may well come from that 🤗
Comment if you're already becoming a bad-assss lawyer / are now considering it 👏... I'd love to know where you're at in your law journey - I'm just about to start the LPC in UK!!
Im in law school first year and already the best student in my class im so proud of myself I worked so hard but its very stressful but I love it and hope one day to become a badass lawyer😉
Question: Anyone who should absolutely not become a lawyers Answer: trait fo someone who should be a lawyer Only listened to half the question there buddy 😂
I think he listened to the whole question but he just put it in a way which wouldn't make people who are incredibly unorganized both in actions and in thoughts (i.e. people like me lol) feel bad about themselves and so that he's not discouraging any particular type of person from going into law. So, to map his answer back to the original question: People who should absolutely not become lawyers are people who are disorganized in their actions and/or thinking. EDIT: Also, I must add: framing an answer in a way that is not directly answering the question (since doing so might result in negative consequences) while still getting the point across is a very lawyer-y thing to do so you know he's good at this job xD
im completing my bachelors in social work. Social justice is highly emphasized in this field. I'm considering pursing corporate law because of that and also because I love big companies and bussinesses. But I might also Pursue a master's in social work.....Not sure just seeing where life takes me. I cant decide but then again I can have both. why not ?
Is economics degree for undergraduation a good choice as i'm not 100% sure if i want to become a corporate lawyer but i do want to keep it as an option to pursue in future....
Hi there! I'm not a lawyer, currently an undergraduate student about to attend law school in the fall. The common consensus is that you should get an undergraduate degree in what interests YOU. I've met corporate attorneys who have had undergraduate degrees in theatre or English. I personally am double majoring in General Management and Marketing. From what I have heard, you learn majority of what you'll be doing as a corporate attorney specifically when being trained at your job. (Obviously having a background somewhat related to business can always help). But the most important aspect is to choose a degree you enjoy because your GPA is weighed heavily when applying to law schools. Choose a degree that you would study if law wasn't in the picture. If that means you enjoy economics and could see yourself working in economics regardless of law school then go for economics!
Hi Ian! Not at all - there are tons of people from unis all over at every firm, including the Magic Circle firms! My biggest advice would be to try and get legal work experience and vacation schemes or even experience doing pro bono work through uni - basically anything to show to care enough to have gone out of your way to try and become a lawyer!! 🤗
Hey do you think it’s a good idea to start with paralegal school and after to go in law school at university or it’s better to start from college straight away with the law program and then at university continue with law ?
Hey!!! I am a law graduate from Bangladesh. I would be coming to uk next year for my master's of law. I am a bit confused about choosing proper subject for my master's program. Which subject should I choose that would help me secure a job in law firm after study?
Hey Darnell, I think the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to try and talk to lawyers / meet up with lawyers / find work experience / events about law + read about law. Generally, you need to be doing anything you can to show that you are genuinely interested in the law, as this will come across in any personal statements / applications you do! I'd also recommend doing as much practice as you can for whatever admissions test you'll have to take! Hope that helps and good luck 🤗
I think all lawyers are dispassionate professionals. They (partners) don’t give a shit about their staff, clients, junior associates, etc. I think most are assholes that put on a fake shield of armor (smile).

Yes, would serve as and advantage in branches of corporate law such as competition antitrust practice.

One of the easiest and the one where you make little to no money
Uncle is a corporate lawyer. He said he never lost a case.
What did he study in college
Corporate lawyers don't argue cases. Hence, he never lost a case by default.
