I work as a firefighter and I bought mine about 7 years ago on my first day on shift. i still use it and carry it everyday on shift with me. I use it at least once a day and will always carry this tool. BTW mine came with the old school leather sheath with the button clasp on it. Awesome tool! Great review... Thanks!
I got a Kick as a gift about 8 years ago and it's been something I always keep with me for the office, when I visit my mother-in-law, and when I travel. And it's come in handy more times than I can remember from fixing door knobs, breaking blocks of ice, stroller repairs, opening beers, pulling out random nails, etc. The thing has definitely proven it's use and it's a minimal size which is great!
Ah! At last. I have been looking all afternoon at revies to find out the purpose of the threaded hole. Yours is the only one that even mentioned it. Thanks.
I carried my kick as an EDC since 2010. I still have it and it's a great tool. It doesn't always have the RIGHT tool for the job (even for multi-tools), but it will work for most tasks. Just started caring my new Surge last month, another great tool.
I picked up the Fuse for $19.99. It has the exact same tools on it as the Kick, only has the locking function for all the tools, (as you stated). Great tool. You can't go wrong with any Leatherman tool. Its better to spend a little more to get a quality name like Letherman so the tool will perform as you want it to. another great vid Scout.
carried a kick for 3 years and loved it..sent it away for warranty repair and it got stolen in the mail...BUMMER!!! :(..upgraded to a super tool 300 and it is so well built i dont tnink ill ever have to buy another in my life ...and if you ever mail something..insure it!!! its worth it! i learned my lesson
ALso, on the interior corners of the handle being sharp, I had the same problem with my cold steel rajah 3. The corners were sharp and would catch my hands whenever I turned the knife in my hand. I took an exacto knife and just rounded off those sharp corners and it's twice as comfortable as before.
#2 Phillips screwdriver for the win. I'm an industrial technician and the Kick has been my every day carry for the past 7 years. It gets used at least several times a day, and I haven't had anything on it break.
@TheLateBoyScout oh yeah, durr, I forgot to add good review! This was a pretty informative and in-depth review which helped my decision to buy one or not. I opted for no since I was looking for something a bit smaller to pocket edc (my first MT), but this might be a nice work MT, although to be honest if I really wanted a good work MT I'd go for probably the wave or something a little higher on the leatherman level, but for what it is I think the kick is a pretty good first MT
the only thing I don't like is that the big flathead screwdriver is just a screwdriver. They could have totally made that into an awesome file like the one from the squirt p4 and still have it be a screw driver

Kick is my EDC for the past 5 years. Simple and easy and if it was lost or stolen it won't hurt my wallet. It has never let me down.
i actually just got one these. It came with a clip. I just love it and for 30ish bucks it is worth it in my opinion.

one of these on clearance at WallyWorld near me for $21...think i will get it to add to my Bug Out Bag
Thank you for explaining what the threaded hole is for! I carry this along with a Swiss Army Knife and it's the perfect combo.
Just got mine today, came with a leather sheath.
Nice, they are great to have!
nice vid as usual scout, keep it up dude!
thanks for posting!

Interesting. Reaching back tonight for a Blast (at AMZN) to make a parts tool for my great Rebar; but I like your points about the Kick. (2-18-17)
Blast and rebar tools swapable?

I got this today, i wish this had an easy knife opening mechanism like the wave
Great Review, Thums up man :)
I purchased a kick from my brother for ten bucks. He barely used it.
I carry one all the time
found mine on a bus, carried it every day for a few months then I lost it was awesome
Dakota Burke - Did you lose it on the bus?
I carry my Kick with me wherever I go.
I also love my kick!

KHRS files are brittle using them for screwdrivers is iffy
I carry a leatherman kick Every. Fucking. Day.
What sheath is that?
It does move side to side a bit I'm afraid.
That Stanley multi tool isn't that bad it's ok.
You said "nebulous". o_0.
Great review. Not sure how I feel about the plastic handle inserts on a Leatherman.
it may be a leatherman but it just looks doo doo ! the wave would be my pick, diff price point tho
It would be more accurate for leatherman to say functions instead of tools.
Leathermans great but they're not the most expensive,Victorinox is
One of the worst Leathermans produced. Feels like a £5 cheap Chinese multitool.
