    Burning Witches is an awesome band. Pretty new right now but I believe their Talent will grow. So much potential it has to grow.

    They are touring the eastern states in May. Going to see the NJ show even though they are the opening act for The Iron Maidens.

    Hi Anastasia. Burning Witches are from Switzerland. I strongly recommend their song "Hexenhammer." Not a concert video strictly speaking, but it shows much more of the band and their singing. Another metal band with a female lead singer is Frozen Crown from Italy. Their song "Neverending" is a banger.

    You should watch their first video "Black Widow" with a former singer

    Burning Witches is my third favorite band. Have seen them five times in the last year and I always keep wanting more. Real big fan of those ladies and real friendly.

    Burning Witches is one of my favorite bands. They are a fairly new band from Switzerland and have not been exposed like they deserve. The last two years have with the pandemic have hurt them for sure but hopefully they can get some momentum. They released a new album late last year and it’s great. Anyway the singer Laura is awesome. She switches styles a lot .. from growls , to vocal fries , to a “witchy “ screechy sound , and has a beautiful clean vocal. In most of their songs she often will layer a different vocal styles .. kind of like you heard in this song. All their songs are good so you can’t go wrong picking any song. I would suggest doing Circle Of Five next … she shows off some more vocal diversity in that one plus the song just punches you. lol 🤘🏻
    BTW.. There is not any good live footage of them that I could find anyway. Only fan cam stuff with poor quality. I’m hoping as they get more exposure now and more of a following , we can get some good live videos soon.

    As others already pointed out, the band is from Switzerland, but the lead singer is Dutch.
    They went through some changes in recent years which involved a replacement of the singer and one of the guitarists. As for the old lineup, please check out the official video of Hexenhammer.

    Every album has a well written mix of power metal,thrash, and ballads.
    This is the second song on the album which tells a story throughout the album. Track 1 is a slow instrumental intro with clean soft vocals.......
    For Freya....

    Great you checked them out! Love this band. Started in 2015. They've had a few lineup changes, with both guitarists and the lead singer turning over. Both singers are great, but the previous one, Seraina, is definitely heavier. See for example "Hexenhammer". It's interesting, the Western metal chicks mostly go with the same kind of imagery as male metal groups--the dark, gothic/leather/spiky look, while the Japanese female metal bands keep a super feminine look. Curious what you think.

      What is feminime? The style is typical for the scene. They dress like this to show they are a part of us.

    I saw them live just this past December (2023). One doesn't realize the full power of Laura's voice until one sees them live. The bass player, Jay, is also amazing live, just so much energy. The one thing they've lacked until recently is backing vocals...the new lead guitarist, Courtney Cox, does add that element. Otherwise, for me they hit on all cylinders. One of my two absolute favorite bands.

    Why do bees have sticky hair? It's because they use a honeycomb. :-)
    I'm happy to see you discovered this band. I know that they are not to everyone's taste, but I like them. I believe Mr Rock'N'Roll checked out their song Hexenhammer a while back, so I would recommend that one if you haven't already heard it.

    It's a very good album this one. It took me awhile to get used to the new singer, but I think she's got her own qualities in comparison to the original singer.

    I noticed that you reacted to Halestorm, but it got blocked, which is a pity. I have never been into Burning Witches that much for some reason. One of the ex-members of this band actually joined another all-female band called Crypta, which is what could be probably called blackened death metal (only harsh vocals in that direction). Two of its members split from another band called Nervosa (trash with bits of death metal)
    And you have not reacted to Hanabie from Japan yet. :-D It is also all-female, currently.
    I would also like to draw your attention to the band Vintersea - Fiery Tongue (Official Quarantine Playthrough Video)

    They have gang vocals from producers and the band in studio, but only Laura sings live from what I've seen. She does do the mix of clean with some growls.

    I believe this band is from Switzerland, though if I'm not mistaken, their current singer is Dutch.
    I would recommend some live performances from them, but all the live clips I've seen of them look like they've been shot on the phone of people in the audience, rather than property recordings.

    Burning Witches are from Switzerland. Their drummer though has some Pacific Islander traits though. I believe Filipino if I'm not mistaken.
    But yet, their vocalist does have a pretty good growl. She does it on several other songs as well. But what's interesting is that she is their second vocalist. Their original vocalist was with them for the first two albums, with this new one performing on the last two albums. Check out the video for Hexenhammer for a taste of the original vocalist.

    You should check out the first two albums when they had a better singer. Seraina Telli was their singer and her voice is amazing. Heavy metal perfection.

    Ah, I remember this Band. Burning Witches , they been around since 2015. Plus some many members left and regroup or whatever was going on. I like the guitars in the band. But I frickin hate the Growls in some songs in this band. So I rarely listen to this band anymore, back then . I guess not for me. Cheers ✌

    Nice video, fun to watch once, but to be honest, i hope that is not their best song since for me there was really absolutly nothing that remains in my head. No riffs, no melody line, all i could say is : there was some metal shredding and the lead vocals were female. Maybe they should look out for a second guitar player who is also a great songwriter (like Myako 😄🤘🏼)

      Technically this song is awesome, but it didn’t pick me up..

    • @Miraie93
      @Miraie93 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@boernhead85 agree. There’s nothing wrong with the song, its just ok. But this band still so far away to go. Well we cannot compare it to Lovebites or Nemophila, as we know this 2 band already beyond than any male metal bands in the world. But they have the potential

  • @nicolaspaquay
    @nicolaspaquay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Discovered this band 2-3 years ago but I can't really get into it. I find them good and talented but it doesn't click (and there is too much growl in modern metal for me...)
    In fact, since I discovered Lovebites, no all female band can't stand the comparison anymore. ^^.
    But I agree, we need more women in Metal.

    They were way better on their first two albums when Seraina Telli was their singer. I miss her being in the band. I am not a fan of Laura's voice at all.
