The whole game almost feels like it takes place in a hyper short timespan for it. It's a sensation I can only really compare to Mass Effect 2. NFS Wanted definitely did the racing system better with the Blacklist, but honestly, the atmosphere of Carbon is more than enough to put it in the same league as MW 2005.
If you play NFS Carbon with this song Tuner Theme (my favorite song ever) you would beat everything and literally give you luck and makes you feel perfect like a very big final boss.
