The Troopy is looking amazing Andrew. Very impressed with the Onca products as well, I love seeing manufacturers like this and all of their R&D highlighted as well. Looking forward to the rest of the build series and, most importantly, the inaugural trip. Safe travels.
Hi guys, wonderful to see this bull bar is available in Australia and up to Australian standard. Wow that is fantastic. Keep up the good work Cliff from Queensland Australia
Love the build video's because they always give me ideas for things I can do/buy myself but what I REALLY want to see is another African trip (ideally with Paul Marsh along for the ride).
The car is looking beautiful. Am always looking forward to your upload. I wish I could meet you just to greet as you pass through Zambia. I wish you the best in your travels.
That colour combo reminds me of old RAAF official vehicles. I like it. I've been a fan of ONCA bars for years. I like their RFX style bars for the 70 Series (the one you have). I wish they made the same style bar for the 80 Series. The one they have looks just like any other bars from ARB, TJM or Ironman 4X4. I'm looking for something different. The search goes on....
The Voetspore team had a nasty head on collision on a bend with their Landcruiser fitted with a bull bar (I'm not sure whether it was an ARB or even the Onca bar. It happened in Colombia or Ecuador in South America when some negligent boys in a bakkie (ute) crossed over to the wrong side of the road and hit the Landcruiser full on. Luckily, it was not a high-speed crash, but the airbags in the Landcruiser both deployed, and the guys walked away with a few scratches and bruises. The boys in the ute were very badly injured and needed hospitalisation. The bull bar saved the Landcruiser from a lot of damage, although it was undriveable and had to be towed. You guys should check it out.
Love it and of cause the fitment of the bar is going to be millimeter perfect it is on your car and going to be showed of as grate advertisement very nice product , I'm not a big fan of the fiberglass flares but these ones seem to fit up nice and with no holes drilled through the body hopefully.
hi Andrew love this trophy build ... wish we had something utilitarian like this in the U.S. like a troop carrier to build a car camper /overland tourer just joined so have a beer on me mike san Diego California

By the looks of it, the guys from ONKA did a job that can best described as PERFECT 👍

Its more photogenic because steel rims and blue color are great match, as well blue fits better to surrundings due color theory.
Like🎉 I'm in South Africa
It looks good. Any particular reason why the Troopy was never sold with the V8 in South Africa?
Great to hear that Aussie twang in your daughters accent 😜😂
Look good Andrew, are they ADR approved?
Hopefully the added weight doesn't mess with the suspension, handling, etc.
maybe just me but i like the onca flares better than arb if comparing from these builds. they appear a bit more modern.
Hi Andrew (@4xOverland) - this video isn't showing on your uploaded videos page, just a notification that the playlist was updated :D
It will go public in March when the series restarts. You only found it because you looked hard for it.
@@overland-workshop stumbled across as TH-cam shows that the playlist had been updated :)
I’ll keep it a secret :)
Looks amazing. Do these Onca bulbar need a suspension upgrade? Driving a 79 DC with the 1HZ and curious about fitting a cool bull bar...
What color is the paint?
What is the weight of that ONCA bull bar?
65 kg.
Which color is your africa troopy
Looks like an historic color that was used on FJ40s - hence the white roof. That color is called Capri Blue.
@@TheBTG88 looks a little darker but maybe it's the light
@@Topo42mh In retrospect, it’s probably closer to Cadet Blue.

Hard to believe, but Andrews daughter seems to be a combination of Andrew and Gwen all wrapped up into one person?
why 'hard to believe'....its called children
Who ever cut the rear mud flaps got it on the piss.....crooked as. The rest looks the goods.
Für was
Kotflügelverbreiterungen ?
$3450 for the bar..
I suppose when you have an abundance of cheap Labour you can afford to export bullbars and other equipment. Like watching 1 long TV Commercial.
less chicks, sorry
