I will never forget this one. To come all the way back, and then be that close...ignoring stakes and just focusing on the game itself, this might be in the top 5 most brutal ways to lose a game.
The Romo and Manning era was special for sure. Though sadly for us in Dallas it too often went the Giants’ way from 2007-2012. So many heartbreaking losses, and they always seemed to be in big games. It was truly special to get a win against them in those days. However we started taking over the rivalry from 2013-2015. Dallas even nearly swept them in 2015 with Brandon Weeden or Matt Cassel or whoever was starting that night. The last year the rivalry was relevant was 2016. Dak and Zeke’s rookie year, the Giants swept the Cowboys, but Dallas won the division. And it was irrelevant since the Packers took us both out anyways. It’s been a long time but I still have flashbacks to all those crazy endings in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
I miss the days of the Giants where even on down years they were a feared team in division games. Now, I bet Eagles and Cowboys fans just mark this as a instant win.
2012 was a weird season for the Giants. At times they looked dominant as the defending champs and like garbage in other games. But overall we were at least a competent team that had a chance back then 😔
@@johntheapostle4181they blew out the 49ers (made the superbowl), the packers (went 12-4), the Panthers, and the Saints. It was a really fucking weird and annoying season.
@@iangoodisDMX Yes it was. Two very unappreciated QBs. I have much respect for both. All Eli needed was the right coach. With Romo on the field, the game wasn't over until the clock said 00:00. Never had a good coach and only one season with a good offensive line. Shame.
I remember this game because it was the day before Hurricane Sandy in New York. Side note- The Gronk and Mahomes insurance commercials are getting really old and they don't even allow you to skip.
I remember this game. I was watching with my Giants fan brother and while Cowboys we’re losing I went outside with friends. Game back to the Cowboys closing the gap and almost winning it if it wasn’t for Dez Bryant’s hand landing out of bounds.
There’s so many games from this year that could have easily been wins with better luck or game management. I think there was a game against the Ravens where Garrett let all the time run off the clock and forced Dan Bailey to attempt a 50+ yard game winning kick. Which he missed. There was the fumble in overtime by the Saints that they couldn’t recover. There was the near-comeback on thanksgiving. There was this game. For the Cowboys, it really was a game of inches that year.
I was at this game with my dad & brothers.. when Dez caught that ball we all went crazy(similar to the catch no catch in GB) we were all devastated when they didn’t rule it a TD.. thank you for bringing this terrible memory back🤣

@@greezythumb Packers made NFC championship I remember being glad giants win division round and Leonard Davis from Texas who cowboys signed before 2007 was scary run blocker former number 2 overall pick for cardinals
@@packersauburneric3625 Yes I remember it like it was yesterday. Dallas defense couldn't stop anyone. The defense kept Romo in dogfights. That game against the Giants can be chalked up to four words... Patrick Crayton and defense. That joker dropped a pass right in his chest that would try have given Dallas a first down and run the clock out. Then Romo threw a long TD strike for the end zone that would have given Dallas the lead and the game. Crayton for some ungodly reason slowed up and the ball went right over his head. The defense couldn't get one stop on Eli Manning in the second half.... Ugh.

This was the year when # 9 was exposed for what he actually was (Not the GOAT that 'Boys fans believe he was). He led the NFL in Ints., was 3rd in pick-sixes, 23rd in Int %, 19th in Y/C, and had a league average TD %. In the season finale, with a PO spot on the line, he had a 3 interception game. Only when he was on loaded teams did he do anything. Otherwise, he was a nobody: an above average franchise QB that choked in big games. Dallas stans - I'll ignore all replies.
Can't believe Jones held on to Romo All those years, wasted money, and a lot of losses, raiders did the same thing with Carr, kept him around, and it was just wasted money
You act like this team was Super Bowl ready with a different quarterback. He was probably one of the few bright spots of those cowboy teams. You’re right though Jerry should’ve not held on to Romo he should’ve let him go as a favor to get away from this trash franchise.
