It’s funny how two franchises go in opposite directions after a Super Bowl. Since this game: The Giants have had only one other playoff appearance (2016) and two winning seasons. Meanwhile, New England has won three more Super Bowl wins, 8 more winning seasons, and 7 AFC Championship appearances.
That’s what I tell cocky Giants fans. Us Pats fans won the long game, doubling our SB wins since with a variety of talent. I’d rather 6 Super Bowls than 2 fluke wild card seasons. Consistency is everything
James Dickman someone’s salty about the facts. I don’t give a shit about the head to head record Eli has garbage stats down the stretch except for these two fluke seasons where their defense played lights out. Brady DID win the long game and has far more success than Eli ever did.
It's hilarious that Bill undermined Manningham's ability to make clutch catches of that longevity.. at that point in the game.Telling his corners to revert to coverage on Cruz and Nicks. Makes the Manning to Manningham catch right directly in front of Bill too. Talk about eating your words lol .
Branch and Welker drops costed the pats this game. Eli Manning turning into superman for one play costed the pats in 2007. The 2017 Pats being unable to stop a fly despite Brady throwing 500 yards in a single super bowl. Brady could of easily had 10 rings. Thats fucking crazy.
The 2nd time that Eli Manning has beaten the 🐐, Tom Brady for the Lombardi Trophy. Here’s the question: Does that put Eli Manning in the hall of fame???
The crazy thing is it's not even just Brady. What Eli did in the playoffs altogether just to get to the Super Bowl was crazy, especially in 2011. Eli Manning had to get past the Wild Card round, then they had to upset the 15-1 Green Bay Packers IN LAMBEAU FIELD in the divisional round (final score was 37-20 BTW), and then they had to go to San Fran to take on the 13-3 49ers in the NFC Championship game, and a defense that would end up hitting Eli Manning 28 times and sacking him 9 times. I say, when you go through THAT journey, you kinda have to win the Super Bowl at that point. Lol
Eli was fearless, during both of his Super bowl wins against the mighty Patriots, he kept his composure and never allowed the moment to overcome him, especially when they were down. He took full advantage of the moment. Kudos to you Eli Manning.
18:27 Look how freaking wide open Branch is on this play. If he catches that what's stopping him from running this in for a TD? Two back to back dropped passes on this drive. Jeeeeeez
In the press conference before Super Bowl 42, Brady was asked about Plaxico Burress' score prediction of 23-17 to the Giants. Brady responded "We're only gonna score 17 points?" Brady would never score more than 17 points against the Giants in a Super Bowl. The football gods may be cruel, but they have a sense of humour.
Watching it as it happened, my heart sank because I lost sight of the ball and thought for sure Gronk caught that Hail Mary at the end. That was a tense finish.
Most satisfying run from the end of the regular season through the playoffs I’ve ever seen in my life. I was an 8th grader from Michigan and my friends and teachers talked so much trash to me during the playoffs.
Hands down the greatest throw of all time 15:30. The Ben Roethlisberger to Holmes doesn’t even compare because that was a 10 yard pass while this was as a 40 yard bomb under pressure. Also right in Belichick’s face
this season was a perfect blend of defense and offense as compared to today where you can easily score a touchdown. that giant's defensive line was the best since their own in the early 90s.

Weatherford quietly had an amazing game
To this day it’s still hard watching those miraculous catches by Mario manningham and David tyree being a pats fan
Love seeing the hometown hero Danny Woodhead running around. Wish he had gotten a ring while he was playing. From one North Platte man to another, hell of a career man
That Hail Mary attempt at the end though... I swear it felt like time slowed down as soon as Brady launched the ball.
I hate the Patriots but that was an amazing attempt.
@@TaintedNimbus Yeah like damn that was so close. I remember as a Giants fan I couldn't celebrate much after that heart pounder and I just sighed in relief while I slumped back on the couch as the rest of my family was celebrating.
Mr. Mara, we need to get back to this!!!
That would’ve been a home run ball to branch on that last drive
You know what's the coolest thing about super bowls? Is how in the first kickoff you see all the little camera flashes i love it!
While this Loss stung, it didn't feel nearly as bad as Super Bowl 42.
18-1 forever baby. Dolphins only time that’ll ever get it done.
No this felt worse tbh. It was a rematch. Losing the 16-0 season was embarrassing dont get me wrong, but you’re given another chance a couple years later and we still lose. Thats even more embarrassing
Goes both ways that's why Tom Brady said he wish Eli never won a ring
Victor Cruz catches the ball and the crowd erupts into "CRUUUUUUUUUUUUZ" awesome lol
Gonna come back to this every time we make the playoffs.
So much to say about this game. Starting with that insane safety. Wowee. The Manningham sindeline catch held a candle to the Tyree Helmet catch in my opinion. Just an absolute trivial catch that got us up midfield
Its sad how many people have completely forgotten about Ahmad Bradshaw
18:23 The biggest missed opportunity of all time
They would have won that game if it’s caught. Holy crap
That drop rivals the Cowboys TE TD drop against the Steelers in one of their 2 Super Bowl losses to them. I can't remember which. Both were 4 point games, 35-31 & 21-17, just like this one.
He would’ve gone in for the touchdown if he caught that
I loved super bowl 38 (February 1, 2004) underrated super bowl and by far on the best Super Bowls back then. Tho I wish the Panthers won that game. That was one hot Panthers team.
What was great about that Super Bowl is that it started out slow, then turned into a shootout. Brady and Delhomme were both on fire.
The game that cemented his position as a 1st ballot HOF.
Lol the fuck he's first ballot, most underserving player to get in
Lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
@@stealthiscool I never said he deserved to be one. But he's going to be whether you like it or not. 2-0 with 2 SB MVPs against the GOAT Tom Brady and BB. Case closed for the voters. First SB win cemented his position in the HOF. Second one turned him into a 1st ballot one.
@I’m dead seriousYou're right. Good riddance to overrated, ugly Eli.
RIcardo lmfao get that hate out your heart buddy
Ah, the first Super Bowl I watched.
What a great one to open my eyes to football.
It’s funny how two franchises go in opposite directions after a Super Bowl.
Since this game: The Giants have had only one other playoff appearance (2016) and two winning seasons.
Meanwhile, New England has won three more Super Bowl wins, 8 more winning seasons, and 7 AFC Championship appearances.
mooehlan Ahh yes - good times!
YUP
The most underrated SB ever!!
Giants defense had alot to do with that buddy...and Brady has been very lucky also Tuck rule and the Falcons making history being brainless...
This game right here is what made me really start enjoying football.
The 2nd time that Eli Manning has beaten the 🐐, Tom Brady for the Lombardi Trophy. Here’s the question: Does that put Eli Manning in the hall of fame???
It speaks to Bradys greatness that he will probably get in just for denying TB12 from having 8 rings.
Sports 311 Depends what your standards are.
Lol
Eli is by sure a HOF, you can't tell the HISTORY of the NFL without him.
@@LucSzI Strong opinion sports fan
i love the crowd when victor cruise makes a play , that was always fun
I miss Eli Manning
How
Me too😭😭😭😭😭
That makes one of us lol he's a scrub
@@joshuavaughn7209 not in the playoffs when it matters most. Although he had troubles getting there
@Nick Kinsey what's pathetic is that you took the time to call a 2 time super bowl champ a loser
Eli was fearless, during both of his Super bowl wins against the mighty Patriots, he kept his composure and never allowed the moment to overcome him, especially when they were down. He took full advantage of the moment. Kudos to you Eli Manning.
I’m the biggest patriots fan but I respect Eli Manning winning those Super Bowls!!!
@@DarkHalf7685 how the hell was it rigged are you dumb
@@unnanointedonesufi the more you think about it. it was rigged for ray lewis and peyton manning as well lol
2024 here as a giants fan man i miss these good ole days!!!! Hopefully we can draft a good quarterback next year
One of the best days of my life!
The look on Brady's face ×2 . " Priceless"
15:30 is the greatest throw in NFL history
Not denying the greatness, but Big Ben’s throw to end SB 43 has to come under consideration
18:27
Look how freaking wide open Branch is on this play. If he catches that what's stopping him from running this in for a TD? Two back to back dropped passes on this drive. Jeeeeeez
20:45 obviously should have had Gronk tipping to Hernandez who is known for ‘taking the last shot’
In the press conference before Super Bowl 42, Brady was asked about Plaxico Burress' score prediction of 23-17 to the Giants.
Brady responded "We're only gonna score 17 points?"
Brady would never score more than 17 points against the Giants in a Super Bowl. The football gods may be cruel, but they have a sense of humour.
The welker drop 😭😭
This still makes me so happy
I wanna see the 2015 version if you could do that
Every now and them I take a pilgrimage to this video to remember the good times. Maybe one day soon we'll see the glory of the Giants again.
the last play was almost the perfect miracle
Aaron Hernandez, I almost forgot how good a TE he was, the dude was a killer...
That Wes Welker drop is what fucked us in this game. And the impossible Manningham catch down the sideline late in the 4th
Watching it as it happened, my heart sank because I lost sight of the ball and thought for sure Gronk caught that Hail Mary at the end.
That was a tense finish.
Brady's incredible luck seems to run out against the Giants lol
Most satisfying run from the end of the regular season through the playoffs I’ve ever seen in my life. I was an 8th grader from Michigan and my friends and teachers talked so much trash to me during the playoffs.
tom is still the goat imo but fuck that throw by eli was downright perfection
NE scored their TD and extra point to give them 17 at 11:20 in the 3rd qtr, and to think that this is the last time they would score in the game...
Say what you will about Eli Manning, but he's 2-0 against Brady in Super Bowls. No other NFL quarterback has that record.
Eli looks so calm & cool in both Superbowls! NYG4LIFE!💯💪🏻
15:01 my mans tryna be Troy Polamalu with that attempted leaping-dive INT. XD
Thank you so much for another amazing video!!!
NFL Throwback: “A Legacy Cemented”
People in 2020: “Is Eli Manning a Hall of Famer?”
Props to Future HOF'er Tom Coughlin
He's not SMH. He was an average qb winning with good defenses In 2 years. Other than that nobody realized Eli was still in the league
That Giants linebacker defending the deep pass to Gronk was a hero.
Hands down the greatest throw of all time 15:30. The Ben Roethlisberger to Holmes doesn’t even compare because that was a 10 yard pass while this was as a 40 yard bomb under pressure. Also right in Belichick’s face
One of the absolute greatest Super Bowls ever! So grateful I was there.
9:07 never forget. That's my boy. AH is a boss

this season was a perfect blend of defense and offense as compared to today where you can easily score a touchdown. that giant's defensive line was the best since their own in the early 90s.
The Patriots had a 20yr Dynasty 🤯
Best Holding line in Football!
12:27 Blackburn with the defense, amazing play. Gronkowski tries to push off as the ball comes down. But Blackburn is too strong and makes the play of his career.
