they could have at least pretended she got her lights or moved to another location and not just hope we all forget she was played by another actress....
Dead Like Me: Life After Death (2009), 87 min, comedy drama fantasy, IMDb: 6,0/10, After the departure of Rube Sofer, a new head reaper named Cameron Kane takes over. He's a slick businessman who couldn't care less about helping the newly dead. Chaos ensues and brings out... Director: Stephen Herek, Writers: Bryan Fuller (characters), John Masius, Stars: Ellen Muth, Callum Blue, Sarah Wynter, Thanks for uploading.
i know that everyone don't like daisy and i think that she is okay. I am just happy that someone put this movie online, so that way we can see it!! Thank You very much @HazelHemmorage for putting this movie on!! You Rock!!
I got the series on DVDs and watched it at least 30 times. That can happen when you're disabled and mostly confined to the home. When it first came out I thought it would be good for at least 7 seasons. These days they are so quick to cancel a series that often needs a few seasons to really kick in. Oh well, but when they came up with this movie I figured it might kick in a revival. Ten minutes into the movie and I wanted to lynch those responsible from the nearest tree, maybe even tar and feather them first. Theser idiots look like they watched one episode and decided it would be great to jazz it up. Yeah, I think tar and feathering is definitely appropriate (remember the episode of the Happy Time mountain retreat, that cracked me up every time). There are certain elements in a television series that should never be tampered with. They tampered with everything. I had my complaints, but that's because of my medical training and experience. People who suffocate or burn to death take an agonizingly long time to die. One thing that people very rarely think about is people who are contemplating suicide who will actually look for a means that isn't painful, suffocation and burning are not two of them. Not being one to criticize those who contemplate suicide, it's their life and body and we should all have the right to do with it as we wish to end it and should not be a social or legal matter. I just think it would be a nice public service to show the most humane ways to end a person's life and that can also be very comedic. If we can laugh at death we can fear it less. Fortunately I have no fear of death having face the Reaper way too many times. What I particularly liked about the series was the very touching moments, like when Rube helped Rosy have a peaceful death. Yes, I'm a 68 year old macho man and I cried watching that scene, every single time. This movie literally had absolutely none of the original plot and subplots. Were these writers right out of Community College film school? It sure looked that way. I was so desperate for more of the series I even got so stupid in buying this movie on DVD. Somewhere in the deep recesses of my warped mind I actually thought it would be better on DVD. When my delusion got smacked in the face at mach 10, I was sure glad I didn't own a gun. Thomas
Greg Moteyunas Why would you think that? It might be true for some people contemplating suicide to fight the fear of death. A lot of people think suicide is easy and cowardly, but it's quite the opposite. Our strongest instinct is to fight to survive. In the medical field I saw many people contemplate suicide and some succeed. The struggle to embrace death can be agonizing and terrifying I lost my fear of death at around 18 when I was in the Navy. Overcoming the fear of death gives a person tremendous strength. I loved the series because it showed how natural death is, it is as natural as life. If you can laugh at death, you can make the Reaper look like a very funny clown. Poor fellow, he has made so many attempts to take me and I keep saying I come when I damn well feel like it. Thomas
I have fought to survive since I was 10 years old. The first time I attempted suicide. I am still here. Fighting to survive. I'm just saying, the subject matter appeals to people that that contemplate it. The series has helped me in ways no one else could understand. I embraced it because it gave me a new perspective.
Made me think a lot harder about what is really important in life. How throwing it away isn't as easy as I once thought it was. The people around me value me in some way I don't value myself. The random nature of death is scary enough without courting it. I don't REALLY want to die, but. The pain I feel makes me feel as though I have no alternative but to die to relieve me of my pain. This series gave me a lot of insight to what people that don't think like me see in living. It actually gave me hope. As grim as is sounds.
Thanks for the positive input Pres. I have smoked weed, and it does work well. Can't afford it as much as I need it. Tried every Opiate in the book. No relief whatsoever. Didn't matter how much I took. Took 50mgs of Oxycontin, with 30mgs of Hydrocodone once over the course of a day. Didn't have any effect, No help with pain at all. Didn't even make me dizzy. No high or anything. Not an abuser. It was a one time shot at it. Same problem with sleep. Drugs have no effect on me. 100 mgs of Ambien, I was up for 30 hours. I regularly stay awake 35, 40, and sometimes 50 hours at a time. Funny how abuse is covered by insurance, the cure for my pain isn't. Smoke some of the right kind of weed, I can sleep like crazy. Just wish I could afford to buy it. Wouldn't matter if I had a script for it, I still can't afford it. Feels pretty weird admitting all this here. But I'm a weird SOB, so what the hell.
Very disappointing. They didn't follow up with much and they answered none of the questions they left us hanging with. They didn't really need to make this at all but I was curious to watch. Without Rube they didn't give us much really. I could have done without the new Daisy but this new one is forgettable.
wait a minute....they made a movie????????? OMG, where the hell have I been? Ive been watching the reruns on sunday nights on fox....not the same without George cursing, but its better than nothing I guess
While I can appreciate the attempt to continue a GREAT series (which they ended much too soon by the way), this really doesn't do it justice. First of all, Daisy is 1/10 as hot as she was in the series (which is still on hulu). Also, WTF happened to Rube? I do love Mason though.
I read a lot of bad comments about this movie. I actually liked it. Yeah, there was some open questions. But over all, I enjoyed it.. The new Daisy I agree, was rough. Sure hope there can be a new movie.
Sad this show was so good had so much promise and it was all cut too short. Happens to many good shows cut before their time. Wish they could bring it back but only of they can bring back all the original characters including Rube and Daisy. This movie did not do this show justice.
George said: In the space-time continuum, everything changes. She's right. This movie's changed so many things that we are so familiar with in the TV series. I'm not sure I like the changes. Rube getting his lights is nice and all but no more Rube... :( He made Dead Like Me really fun to watch. And like everyone, I agree that Daisy's replacement sucks. She doesn't have the flair that Daisy Adaire should have.
I just believe that Dead Like Me and the Final Destination franchise is in the same universe, think about it ; what if most of the FD characters had become grim reapers themselves?
The new Daisy is ok but the other one from the series was better . I just wish the missing character was not missing ! I guess that person had to go make their other series :( . The end of the movie gives me hope though but not sure how to take it....will there be an other ??? I doubt it but still hope !
SHE USED TO BE HOT AND AWESOME ALL HER LIFE UNTIL AFTER THE DLM PILOT....HER CATS DID THAT TO HER. She said she DID NOT LIKE FROGS...AND LOOK WHAT THE CATS DID TO HER.
New Daisy is terrible. I mean, I LOVE Dead Like Me, and the movie's good, but the old Daisy felt so much more natural. The new one is too forced At least they didn't re-cast Mason. He's my favorite!
i actally don't care about the new daisy, im upset about Rube. but really what can you do. im just going to sit back and enjoy it, though i do admit that if they were going to change daisy's actress why not just get rid of her and say that she got her lights and put in someone else? i dont know. anyways thank you for the upload :)
i know you're annoyed of the "i-don't-like-the-new-daisy" comments, but really, i just have to get mine out. EW! that new daisy is OLD. she's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the originial daisy! she doesn't even ACT LIKE DAISY! WTFH! they need a remake on this movie with the ORIGINAL DAISY!
I thought this movie was poorly written. I can overlook a no-show Rube, a new Daisy and new asshole boss. However, I can't understand why Roxy, Daisy and Mason would act like rookie Reapers instead of knowing the consequences of their job. I also hated how the reunion of George and Reg was just glossed over. I think fans of DLM should just stick to the episodes on DVD and ignore this flick.
This series and movie were once free, however utube seems to feel it has the right to screw people by charging for TV and movie entertainment that was once free.
You see, this is that fuckery! I decided at the comic strip of the new rube I wasn't going to watch this. This is fucking insane! I hate it when movies/shows change cast it doesn't make SENSE!
I really miss Betty Rhomer (Rebecca Gayheart)! From first season! Like her more then her replacement Daisy or the new Daisy!
Thank you for uploading this playlist! 💚
The new actress playing Daisy portrays the character in a completely different way, at least the old actress gave Daisy some depth.
Man I feel nostalgic. This show was so good.
it was epic! And it still is!
Laura Harris made the Daisy character... they should have wrote her out too...
I miss the old Daisy Adair
seriously
So do I.
they could have at least pretended she got her lights or moved to another location and not just hope we all forget she was played by another actress....

I always loved watching people get their lights.

i loved the series and saw this before but it was great to catch it again thanks so much for uploading very much appreciated.
This show was ahead of its time
I just loved this series!
I did not know they made a movie. I was in Afghanistan at the time. thanks for the upload.
i really miss that show i finished the show in 3 days and it was the best
A remake of DAED LIKE ME after soon fifteen yearas as with the 98´remake of Fantasy Island would be great. Also something I still enjoy.

Didn't discover it till I became disabled. Great series for suicidal people, I guess.

I question if the show had come out more recently if it would of lasted longer with America's interest in the afterlife now.
the new Daisy seem's like a mom lol in every single way... UGH 0_o
Thanx for posting the movie. I used to luv this show. I also agree with everyone else I miss the original daisy and rube
Very disappointing. They didn't follow up with much and they answered none of the questions they left us hanging with. They didn't really need to make this at all but I was curious to watch. turns out the changed Daisy was the least of this movies' problems
Not what I expected but I gave it a thumbs up ...
Oh, his light were so sweet.
dey should have jus said daisy ran off into someones light and call the chick something else
if only the writers strike hadn't happened..... they had a George R.R. Martin series gem in this one. every bit as good as m.a.s.h. 4077
This was a great story ❤ ; there must grim reapers and gravelings in hiding. I'm working on my own sequel series of this amazing series.
"_ Aaah, Mason ; Mason ; Mason..."
🤣🤣🤣✌️🤦🏼♀️
wait a minute....they made a movie????????? OMG, where the hell have I been? Ive been watching the reruns on sunday nights on fox....not the same without George cursing, but its better than nothing I guess
Worst cancellation and attempt at resurrection next to the The New WKRP in Cincinnati.
Wow thanks for posting I love this but I still miss Rube! :(
Rube was a great character

DESMOND!!!!!!!!! DESMOND DESMOND DESMOND DESMOND DESMOND OMG I THINK I'M IN LOVE LOST FLASHBACK
How come she can move her shoe if she is supposed to be non-corporeal, the guy ran straight through her WTF?
I read a lot of bad comments about this movie. I actually liked it. Yeah, there was some open questions. But over all, I enjoyed it.. The new Daisy I agree, was rough. Sure hope there can be a new movie.
agree
.....How could such a wonderful series end with such a....a....SHITTY LITTLE MOVIE?! (as shitty-fake Daisy said)
awesome quality!
If you just try really hard to avert your eyes... you can avoid noticing the random blond trying to pass as Daisy.
ME TOO!
Sad this show was so good had so much promise and it was all cut too short. Happens to many good shows cut before their time. Wish they could bring it back but only of they can bring back all the original characters including Rube and Daisy. This movie did not do this show justice.
yes the new daisey might not be like the old one. but it hard shoes to fit.
Amen, brother! Was better than leaving us hanging. Even a seq would be nice, ain't gonna happen tho
George said: In the space-time continuum, everything changes. She's right. This movie's changed so many things that we are so familiar with in the TV series. I'm not sure I like the changes. Funniest death: Tie: Daisy- died on a movie set and Mason- Drilled a hole in his head
480p in 2009 how surprising
MASONS FUNNY
aww I love this show! but they changed daisy?
SHE USED TO BE HOT AND AWESOME ALL HER LIFE UNTIL AFTER THE DLM PILOT....HER CATS DID THAT TO HER. She said she DID NOT LIKE FROGS...AND LOOK WHAT THE CATS DID TO HER.

At least they didn't re-cast Mason. He's my favorite!
maybe if the show didn't get canceled this would've made an okay series finale
I miss the old Daisy...
awww SHIT gotta love those last words
the new Daisy is so old
i actally don't care about the new daisy, im upset about Rube. but really what can you do. im just going to sit back and enjoy it, though i do admit that if they were going to change daisy's actress why not just get rid of her and say that she got her lights and put in someone else? i dont know. anyways thank you for the upload :)
so as a fan of dead like me. as a REAL ROYAL FAN...I'm so far disappointed.
True that, i believe the original Daisy was much better, same with Rube.
Whats the Name of the Background-Track while the comic intro? it sounds verry good.
: "We always have wondered if we would actually have enough time left in our life to say, 0:1:15 right before the impact of our own death???" :o(
7:05!
They couldn't at least license Mandy's likeness for the comic strip opening? I guess the generic guy is Rube's alter ego face, haha.
what happened to the original Daisy?? I don't like the new the new one! ='(
i need to dl this movie ! help me !? may be ?yes?
I WANT THE COMIC BOOK!
love the songs when he said how gorge what is the song?
I DONT WANNA!!! DIE!!! DIE!!! die
i know you're annoyed of the "i-don't-like-the-new-daisy" comments, but really, i just have to get mine out. EW! that new daisy is OLD. she's TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the originial daisy! she doesn't even ACT LIKE DAISY! WTFH! they need a remake on this movie with the ORIGINAL DAISY!
I really, really HATE the new daisy.. Am I the only one here who does???
Like my comments, if you HATE THE NEW "DAISY"
it's funny she said "ah shit" before she died....i said the same exact thing when i had a super bad car accident
I thought this movie was poorly written. I can overlook a no-show Rube, a new Daisy and new asshole boss. Muth's voice is a tad deeper!
The new Daisy: cast failure! Laura Harris was much much sweeter...
💖
This series and movie were once free, however utube seems to feel it has the right to screw people by charging for TV and movie entertainment that was once free.
Its been Five years leave her alone
what is that song playing behinds georges death @8:08
WHAT IS UP W/ THE NEW DAISY?!?! T_T I'm seriously dissapointed w/ the movie thus far.. thats depressing
I hate how this Daisy looks so desperate.. the other one looked like I'm too hot for you, but I'll do you if your rich for career advancement!
Not me.,My last thoughts will be THANK GOD IT'S OVER!
This world's nuts? :P
what happened to Daisy ?
"k...not to be all wtf about this.. but WTF." xD
So much for never aging when you die. George clearly doesn't look eighteen in this movie. Certainly doesn't sound it either.
Yeah, she looks anorexic
Where Can I Find this On DVD?
lol a flying toilet from outer space xD
Does anyone know why they changed daisy ? Did she not want to do it?
The new daisy is so.. bäähh!
You see, this is that fuckery! I decided at the comic strip of the new rube I wasn't going to watch this. This is fucking insane! I hate it when movies/shows change cast it doesn't make SENSE!
