Thank you patrickJMT. That three lessons on your venn diagrams have made me understand so much about venn diagrams. I wish you luck in your future endeavors. From Deeraj
I am literally so happy that this video exists seriously it was the most best explanation of venn diagrams. You literally saved me from failing my test. Thank you so much.
I guess for the 20 people that gave you a "thumbs down" it was probably due to their dislike of your coloring ability. As for me, I found your video very informative. Good job.
i know this is old but for anyone seeing this comment and wondering the same thing.... the box isn't overlapped in both diagrams, so for the final answer it's not shaded
Captain here! You only need to shade the things in common. So in diagram 1 (A u B)', part of C was shaded. In diagram 2 (C), everything in C was shaded. The only thing in common was the part of C in diagram 1 and 2. Therefore, that is the answer. This only works in intersection btw. *Flies away*
Thanks for posting this vids :D I hope you'll do more of these Venn Diagrams with an actual problems... And something about Probabilities and Diagnostic Testing, Conditional Probability, etc.. ^_^ Hope I'm not asking too much.. It's just that, I can understand the way you explains things.. I hope Pearson hires you as a part of the instructor in their CD (like the one that comes in the textbook and makes the textbook expensive :D) Thanks for every lessons you posted here in your channel!
A U B = shade everything in A and everything in B (entire two circles) A intersect B = shade only what's common to both A and B (where circles overlap)
Hey there, could you go further? It's nearly impossible to find finite on You Tube. Your Venn Diagram vids are as good as it gets, as far as actually explaining how to decipher (AUB') UB' and such -- but I also need more, both on this subject and others, such as matrices, and other finite subject. I can find the matrix, but nothing beyond the basics. I spend too much time searching and getting nearly no help, but I just keep hoping! GREAT work, btw. THANKS!!!
There’s no better way of teaching venn diagrams.. God bless you for saving my final grade
So glad I found this video before my test. My teacher sucks!
my teacher also sucks

Its 2021 and your videos are still saving lives. May God bless you❤
Are you ff player
Thank you patrickJMT. That three lessons on your venn diagrams have made me understand so much about venn diagrams. I wish you luck in your future endeavors. From Deeraj
im grateful to you because i used to be confused by all these sets. now, thanks to you, my problems are all gone! :)
my favourite maths teacher in TH-cam tnx u so much
I am literally so happy that this video exists seriously it was the most best explanation of venn diagrams. You literally saved me from failing my test. Thank you so much.
no problem, glad it helped you out :)
This was the most helpful video i've found thanks
thankyou, i was confused about the whole shading part ( before watching your video) ,but now I understand!
Exam in few days, & your explanations are extremely beneficial.
After watching this video I actually understood! Thank you so much
By far the most helpful video I have found thank you so much!
I guess for the 20 people that gave you a "thumbs down" it was probably due to their dislike of your coloring ability.

Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. Very appreciative!😀
your video was so helpful I have a test tommorow and this has prepared me more than any of my textbooks or anything, 2019 exams yay
Thank you soo much
Needed to study for discrete math
This is really helpful, I usually guess what the answer and It’s pretty intuitive
thank you so much! have a IGCSE mock tomorrow and now understand sets from all of your videos! thankyou!
That's what we need i am a senegalese student and see that videos is very useful thank you so much thank you again
mate you are bloody awesome.. i aced my quiz yesterday cuz of you!
thank you so much i desperately needed u man
@andyct1982 not really. i mean it depends on what your goal is. set theory gets super, super, super deep. it ends up being super important in math.
Only reason I understood this. THANK YOU
The Sharpie represents him, it's HIS thing. I love you PatrickJMT.
Thanks so much I understand immediately understand. Thanks a million.
Sheeeesh!!!
Sir U r the best now i can top my exams
thank u soo much. you give logic to the topic unlike my teacher. you helped a lot
come back any time :)
Thank you so much man! This video and Part 1 helped me understand so much more!!!
thank u :D
.
Your the coolest math teacher ever!
This helped me pass my exam thank u so much
God bliss this guy he’s a true life saver
THank you❤
Watching from PHILIPPINES 💝
#4 is all about how to exclude Nazis mathematically.
(On a serious note, thanks very much for the clear explanations in your videos!)
you teach better than my math teacher
thanks a lot I'm getting confident on acing my test :)
Thanks so much! I've been having trouble with this but now I know the way you do this and it's easier! I hope I ace my test!
@Waranle what sort? i just do not think many people would watch the advanced stuff : )
Thanks sir. Now I can understand veen diagram
awesome video, i actually understand venn diagrams now :) Thanks a lot Patrick.
Why don't you shade the box as well as C at 3:04 for your final answer?
i know this is old but for anyone seeing this comment and wondering the same thing.... the box isn't overlapped in both diagrams, so for the final answer it's not shaded

I'm wondering the same too. The box is not part of A and B.
Thank you, Patrick!!! You're a saver! And I like your Sharpies!
You're an amazing teacher
Thank you for making this and explaining it so well.
thanks for the kind words
This really helped me, thanks a lot! And keep up your good work
Thank you for these videos, totally makes sense now.

Thank you very much for your videos, you have helped me loads with my revision :)
Thankuuu very much u just taught this amazingly....helped alot...keep going...
A U B = shade everything in A and everything in B (entire two circles)
A intersect B = shade only what's common to both A and B (where circles overlap)
@00Gravity there is no playlist about sets
dude youre the best :)
U sir, have gained my Respect
Thank you so much bro, my math teacher is dogshit and this made so much sense.
this video was really awesome, thanks for the help. Thumbs up from me!
u saved me from an imposition thank you!!!! :D
Thank you now i can answer my assignment
Bruhhh make part 3 plsss I need to answer this questions in Venn diagram shading!
1.A'nBnC
2.C'uAuB
3.AnBnC'
4.AuB'uC
5.(A n B) n C
6. (AuB)'uC
another great video dude :)) thanks again man

Hello, you are great but i don´t find the link to the playlist about sets.. :)
Amazing Thank you!
Patrick ur awsome!
so much patience, iloveit
thanks :)
Thanks a lot am finally going to pass math
Me salvaste, muy buen video y explicación
Eduardo Fontora you think we understood that.
really helped thanks mate
what do i do when they are asking for Union outside the parenthesis rather than the intersection?
Thank you it's really helpful
Do you basically just draw out diagrams and find where they all overlap??
you are an ANGEL
if A n B is just the middle intersection... surely everything out of that is shaded for A' n B'???
Still helping after amost 12 years☺
Thank you so much mate!
I'm 13 Yrs And I'm 7th Grade So
I'm Already Smart but you made me smarter
@patrickJMT plz do a video on venn diagrams based on word problems thanx :D
tnx there is clearty in explaination
Finally understood this topic
saved my grade!
OMGSH! You are a life saver !
is there a difference between (A' n B') and (A n B)'
the last diagram is wrong i believe. shouldnt it be the inverse of what who did where everything is shaded apart from the intersect of abc
how is the last one correct
Yep, he's right :)
He is correct.
thanks, REALLY helpful!!!
I hope you do some combinatorial videos ;) thnx again
