Linkin Park was my son Jesse's favorite band and after my son passed away they became my favorite band... Chester's voice became my salvation and this band literally got me through so much!
I too am sorry for your loss. I can not know how you feel but i know the impact of music. My mother passed away during covid so i couldnt go to her funeral and in the 70's she got me into John Denver and after she died i couldnt listen to him for over a year and finally i did and yes i see what you mean. John brings me closer to my mom
One thing that strikes me about this song is that it is written in first person. He is taking responsibility for these larger issues we face. He is saying we all have to take responsibility for our part in these terrible problems.
I was only 4 years old when it came out and I knew about Transformers, but after growing up to 21 years old and watching it for the first time a few days ago made me appreciate it so much more. This song mixed with Optimus's speech gave me goosebumps.
My heart still breaks. Chester had so much more to offer. In the end, no pun intended, he chose a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Like i said...heartbreaking.
LP were always the blurred line between Hip-Hop & rock, and as a result - for what eventually would be a MASSIVE audience & following. Limp Bizkit went heavier on the hip-hop, Korn went heavier on the rock. LP managed to achieve something that nobody else could - the perfect balance. And it really was perfect ❤
If you want to hear something really hard from Chester, check out" Given Up." If you want to see his crazy range, they did a bangin cover of Adeles' "Rolling in the Deep"
Admittedly I’m a little emotionally raw right now-lost my beloved dog unexpectedly 2 weeks ago & then lost my dad 2 days ago-but this song & your thoughts & feelings on it brought me to tears. Thanks BP-glad I found your channel recently. ❤🙏
This was the first album where LP put their hip hop and electronica roots aside and made a rock-focused album. It was a huge change in their sound. Which is actually what the lyrics of this song are about. Not being defined by what you've done in the past.
Minutes to Midnight. That album, cover to cover is a masterpiece. It's up there with the colab work with JayZ on Collision Course. Do yourself a favor and shit down with a good set of head phones, no distractions and listen to the Minutes to Midnight album cover to cover in a sitting to gain even more appreciation for prime LP.
If you like Linkin Park you should really check out their songs Papercut and Faint. Absolute bangers. Also on Given Up, Chester holds a scream note for 17 whole seconds it's crazy
This music video was directed by Joe Hahn the dj of Linkin Park. Joe Hahn directed a lot of the Linkin Park music videos. Linkin Park had everything covered when it came to writing and producing albums as well as directing music videos. They also have 2 graphic designers in the band that are very talented.
Dude, I was singing along and started wondering "wow he is letting this song cook". Also, this is my first time watching their music video for this song. That was brought back a lot of memories!
The latest song they put out with Chester is 'Friendly Fire'. It was a song that didn't make it on an album. Video is old scenes of the group & song is awesome. ❤❤
I'm telling you, man, you NEED to react to the Official Video for 'Castle of Glass.' Fair warning, though, it hits like a truck emotionally. I both expect - and RESPECT - tears.
BP, if you like the scratchin', you'd love INCUBUS! My personal favorite is "Nice to Know You" (the chord progressions are beautiful), but "Drive," "Pardon Me,""Wish You Were Here," "Aqueous Transmission," are all amazing! Much love brother 🙏 💙
I know you’re a lyricist and you delve into the words more than most. Id like for you to check out LP’s “Crawling” or “Breaking The Habit” Id love for you to hear the remix of in the end. It’s off their “reanimation” album and more of a hip hop feel with people Mike Shinoda (the rapper of LP) worked with a lot of under ground rappers Mike Shinoda also came out with an album called “Rising Tied” which also was ran past Jay Z to see what songs should be on it and which should stay. It’s beautiful
I listen to them regularly again (stopped for years after Chester passing), I remembered this song a lot, but I had forgotten the music video. Now I remember watching it on tv before going to school and the impact it had at that moment. Love this effing band.
They wrote this for the Transformer's Soundtrack and for most bands that would mean they wouldn't have to put any work in to it! But LP never go with less then 100%!
In the End is excellent as well, you should definitelycheck it out. If you want to be blown away by Chester's voice, check out A Place for My Head live in Texas!
Listen to Black Sabbath's "WAR PIGS" lyrics from back in the late 60's...relevant still today. I like the actual song much better. And the video they show on some reaction shows ...I don't know there was no video outfits that song all those years ago. Had to have been added later. Great song though, and as usual back then I never really listened to the lyrics. Most times you couldn't understand what they ember saying over the instruments. It was always the the music, the changes, the beat that moved me first and foremost. The lyrics were secondary. But some of the music of my time were pretty deep pretty meaningful from the bands you least expected them from...
hi... great reaction to my favorite band. you may like high voltage live from london. Linkin Park live is just insane... you are a very mindful soul. keep it up
BP, the Dj is Mr. Joe Hahn. He's also a painter and film director. Chester is one of the few celebrities that saw the dark of Hollywood and Politics. He's one of the good guys. you need to do a little research on him and i think you'll find he's a person we all need to try and emulate. This world is a dark place and we need to shed more light. Yes Jeffrey's Island, was known to Chester and Chris Cornell. Much love as always my brother. Chester saves us everyday.
Music has always spoken to and for humanity. Until we come together ‘in harmony’ we will fail. We have to get past our pettiness and agree to do what is best for all. Oh, young one, you made me cry for all of us.
One thing about LP that I've always hung on to was Chester & Mike at a concert and they embodied the message they sent out. *When Someone Falls, Pick Them Up!!* When you talk about the scratches, in the song *Breaking The Habit* there's a few wild scratches that sounds so much like Space Invaders or Galaga, it's definitely a throw back to the arcade games of the 80s. I don't think some people understood what these guys were trying to convey, until they listened when they got older. Sure they had the fun songs, but so many had a deeper message, even the ones on the Transformers soundtracks. The whole Collision Course collab is something that helped my husband appreciate LP, finally.
Linkin park is amazing. I've loved this song since the first time I heard it on the first Transformers movie. Another killer linkin Park song you should react to is Bleed it Oùt.
Your becoming S tier list for me. You are genuine on not listening to some of the music genre's you had not heard in past. Keep it up brother love it. Peace.
a friend from years ago was friends with the band. he had one of their albums and we put it on the TT. he was blown away by how my system was as good as they were live at home.
best reaction I've seen for a song so far anywhere. Brotherman, you hit the nail on the head with your words of wisdom. No matter what you believe is the way to fix things, a long as it doesn't bring negative physical or mental energy to anyone or anything, then go for it and try instead of fighting. we gotta all be the sunlight in the darkness. been a follower of your channel and will continue to be. keep it up man.
My brother introduced Linkin Park to me and they have gotten me through some tough times. Their music is emotional and raw and speaks to so many people. R.I.P. Chester❤
I am new to Linken Park as of a couple of months ago. Dan Vasc did a tribute when Chester died, a cover of the song"Numb". IF you have not reacted to that song, it is chilling. This song was what we referred to as HEAVY back in the day. This band must have serious philosophical conversations going on all the time. I hope they also have some happier outlooks on life on a regular basis. IF you are serious all the time, the load eventually takes you down. On the plus side, they send a message to younger generations about the importance of caring about one another and the world we live in. God Bless Linken Park. ☺🙏❣
@katjohnson6315 Your words are perfect, and I, too, have tears. @BP, when you said they in quotes I immediately thought "I am they, and he is they and she is they and we are they together." Thats a little take on the rhyme that starts the song "I am the Walrus" by the Beatles. AS THEY,WE ARE ALL COMPLICENT IN THE BAD AND THE GOOD IN OUR WORLD. WHEN YOU MAKE A CHOICE WHICH WAY DO YOU GO? WILL YOU THROW OUT EVIL OR GOOD INTO OUR UNIVERSE? HATE OR LOVE? ❤❤❤
This song was about Chester. Chester was singing about things he did from drug abuse. He struggled to forgive himself. Surprised you have not heard this song it was on the soundtrack for Transformers. You really need to hear One More Light by Them. I think it is one of their best.
Sorry for being ignorant here but it is reviving to see an american who is educated 😊 You know things everybody should know but so few americans do know. Kudus to you and your reactions. Greetings from Sweden
Visuals were great...the bands of today have so much more available with the technology out there to get very creative with their videos. Bands throughout the decades have sung songs about the problems of mankind...there will always be.
Great reaction dude. I've listened to this song hundreds of times and it's one of my favorites from them. But never saw the video before. I always thought it was personal about Chester and his past. Still though it's like he's standing up and asking for forgiveness for what we've all done. Man, this song just got even better.
This music video was directed by Joe Hahn (the DJ). He met Mike at art school in Pasadena California in 1995 or 1996. This song was released in 2007 on their 3rd studio album Minutes to Midnight. This song was also in the first Transformers movie.
Listen to Midnight Oil sing "WHILE OUR BEDS ARE BURNING" about the injustices in Australia towards the Aboriginal people...great song, about another powerful topic.
@BlackPegasusRaps Mike Shinoda has his own side project called Fort Minor and Chester had his own band separate from Linkin Park called Dead By Sunrise. They both wrote songs that they both felt weren't Linkin Park songs so they both create an outlets to release those songs to the fans. Mike's is more hip-hop and Chester's was more dark and punk/electronic. After Chester passed away in 2017 Mike started making a solo album under his own name called Post Traumatic. The album starts out dark but gets lighter as you listen to the songs. There are 16 songs on Post Traumatic. The first 3 songs are the darkest because they were made not long after Chester died. Mike is still making and producing music today for himself and other people who need help. Linkin Park has always been close with their fans and they are still close with the fans even though they have been on a Hiatus since Chester passed away. Mike has been helping fans who are wanting to release music.
I was obsessed with Linkin Park back in the day and I never really paid attention to the lyrics of this song. Wow 😢. I needed this today, as I'm currently on a journey of self forgiveness.
Outside of chester passing... Skip that! Listen to the lyrics, watch the video, and wonder to yourself... HOW much better of a person could we all be!???? And looking through that, diving fown that hole, what in the hell are we doing to ourselves while at it!?!? They way we raise our kids, all kinds of shit!! I only eat once a day!! And thats to make sure my son can 3 times!! And my fiance as well!! Neither of them will ever feel the shit i grew up through!! Long live chester!!! And long live linkin park!!!
I am 71 and am a fan. I have a bad back, lots and I have time to listen to all different kinds of music, like Eminem, Metallica, just all kinds that makes my friends and family go what the hell are you listening to...just take s ome time to listen to things and you will be amazed at what you have missed!!!
This song i put on repeat for days and days on end! When i say on repeat im saying all day all night this is what i listened to as i kicked H at home because I was done being a junkie! This song got me thru! Ppl underestimate music and what it can do! It can help you or hender you! It's up to the person listening on how they react to it! Haven't gone back to that life!
I really enjoy seeing your reactions to these songs and videos with your open mind. Lovely sense of humor and treats yourself. So I'm joining you on your journey here because I really appreciate it and when you and Don have your conversations it's hysterically fun to listen to, you complement each other perfectly. So thank you for entertaining us, it means a lot to me anyway ☮️🙏
There are 4 elements to Hip-Hop. One of which is MCing. The other's are DJing, Breakdancing, and Graffiti. Chester is one of the few celebrities whome actually effected me.
I think of Chester often. I think about the lyrics and the music and his departure from being earth side often. And i think you are right about all of the points you touched but deeper still and maybe even it’s just me projecting… i feel like Chester often took the state of the world and his place in it w very deep regard and obviously looking at the world w sadness. Anytime i see this video… i think “how can humans, the animal who can think and love and speak and create all of these things. How can we do this? How can we be capable of that side of it.” He was asking for forgiveness for his sheer existence in all of it. And it’s tragic. Sometimes i think of what i do and how i play into it and how passive we often become and in that we become complicit.
Linkin Park was my son Jesse's favorite band and after my son passed away they became my favorite band... Chester's voice became my salvation and this band literally got me through so much!
Sorry for your loss Gina 🙏
Happy to hear you have found comfort in this music.
That's beautiful, it's so moving how something dear to him has helped you deal with such a terrible loss. Lots of love from a fellow fan ❤
I too am sorry for your loss. I can not know how you feel but i know the impact of music. Wow. Never thought it this way. Thanks for sharing ❤
The song came out in 2007, it was used as the theme/soundtrack for the first Transformers movie (at the end of the movie)
Yes! I loved it then & love it now! Every time I listen & the intro music begins, I still hear 'Optimus Prime' talking over the piano melody. Lol.🔥💯🔥
I was only 4 years old when it came out and I knew about Transformers, but after growing up to 21 years old and watching it for the first time a few days ago made me appreciate it so much more. This song mixed with Optimus's speech gave me goosebumps.
“Where words fail, music speaks” - Hans Christian Anderson
Great quote from a great author!
I am so happy to see you checking out Linkin Park … Chester is so missed. RIP. Crawling is an amazing song as you mentioned. Check out “In The End”
You can really appreciate his true vocal talent when he sings, Rolling in the deep by Adele. So powerful, Chester is missed 😢.
I LOVE HIS COVER OF ROLLING IN THE DEEP
Agreed,l have watched that video many times.
Chester was Chris Cornell's best friend This world is needs them now more than ever. May they both rest in Heavenly Peace😢💔
RIP Chester. Love everything he did. Great reaction.❤
Off of the grass growing visuals, I'm reminded of "Father" by Sabaton. It's not a perfect fit, but worth a listen.
My heart still breaks.
Chester had so much more to offer.
In the end, no pun intended, he chose a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Like i said...heartbreaking.

Oh shit...your dad and your dog?? MASSIVE HUGS from a total stranger...that's as hard as it gets.

Linkin Park‘s songs are all so deep if u listen closely. I dont even wanna talk about their live performances u need to check more out.
I’d love to see you and mike team up on a video. Rip Chester ❤
This is one of my favorite songs by Linkin Park. Chester is sorely missed and we are cheated out of a lot of great music by Chester Bennington RIP.
I listen to them regularly again (stopped for years after Chester passing), I remembered this song a lot, but I had forgotten the music video.
Now I remember watching it on tv before going to school and the impact it had at that moment.
Love this effing band.
The same thing happened to me, Linkin Park was my first rock music love, and I will always love them! ❤
Great reaction BP! Linkin Park is always a favorite. RIP Chester!

Music has always spoken to and for humanity. Until we come together ‘in harmony’ we will fail. We have to get past our pettiness and agree to do what is best for all. Oh, young one, you made me cry for all of us.
Never saw this video before. 🔥
RIP legend Chester :( This song was in Transformers 1 .Great song .
“I am Optimus Prime. and I send this message to any survivors across the stars.”
very intelligent well thought of and very well expressed music from this band MORE!!
One thing about LP that I've always hung on to was Chester & Mike at a concert and they embodied the message they sent out. *When Someone Falls, Pick Them Up!!*
When you talk about the scratches, in the song *Breaking The Habit* there's a few wild scratches that sounds so much like Space Invaders or Galaga, it's definitely a throw back to the arcade games of the 80s.

Most of their catalogue is like this
Meaningful videos and deep lyrics ❤
Thank you
Linkin park is amazing. I've loved this song since the first time I heard it on the first Transformers movie. Another killer linkin Park song you should react to is Bleed it Oùt.
I'll always show out for some LP. R.i.p Chester
Really great reaction BP! I love how deeply this affected you. I believe it's exactly how Linken Park wanted their songs to resonate. Much respect.
Your becoming S tier list for me. You are genuine on not listening to some of the music genre's you had not heard in past. Keep it up brother love it. Peace.
It's not that the Artist are ahead of their time it shows that the same problems have existed for far too long and will continue to continue.
Your words make sense. It did make it as one of the Transformers themes...
a friend from years ago was friends with the band. he had one of their albums and we put it on the TT. he was blown away by how my system was as good as they were live at home.
I had goosebumps watching this. I forgot how much imagery was in here that makes you really think about this world and what we've done as a whole.
best reaction I've seen for a song so far anywhere.
R.I.P. Chester❤
❤❤ definitely at 15 yrs old I had no real clue what this song was about😢 At 38 yrs old this song hit me hard and in a new way that rips my heart out
Somehow you've aged differently to me. I'm also the same age, this album was released in 2007, when I was
20/ 21. 😂
great song, great singer! check out his duet with Mark Morton "Cross Off" released just after he passed...
RIP Chester, sure... but more importantly, RIP J. Rob O.

Their first album hybrid theory help me get through a lot growing up.

Yea you def need to dig the rabbit hole. They got tons of hip hop songs. Entire reanimation album has strong hip hop influence
I love that you've been checking out Linkin Park but PLEASE listen to their live shows.
Rip Chester❤
This came out 2007 off there 3rd album. This band is incredible! RIP Chester miss you so much!! 😢
We can do what RIP George Carlin said long ago.. "Stop intefering in nature".❤😊

Linkin Park is such an incredible band and Chester's voice will never not give me chills. Really enjoyed your reaction to this 💜💜
Visuals were great...the bands of today have so much more available with the technology out there to get very creative with their videos. Bands throughout the decades have sung songs about the problems of mankind...there will always be.
This is so poignant...I really love this band. RIP Chester...
Brilliant song 🎵 Cheers BP 🍻 🎉
Great reaction dude. I've listened to this song hundreds of times and it's one of my favorites from them. But never saw the video before. I always thought it was personal about Chester and his past. Still though it's like he's standing up and asking for forgiveness for what we've all done. Man, this song just got even better.
Their "Cure for the itch" track is the solo their DJ put together when people claimed they pre-recorded shows...might be a fun one to check out.
One of the best concerts I ever went to was Lincoln, Park, Limp Bizkit, and Korn. It was off the hook.
This music video was directed by Joe Hahn (the DJ). He met Mike at art school in Pasadena California in 1995 or 1996.
This song was released in 2007 on their 3rd studio album Minutes to Midnight. This song was also in the first Transformers movie.
Chester was just incredible. Miss him
You have to check out more! R.I.P. Chester❤
Amazing reaction! Thank you!
Wow!
What a hard hitting video and fantastic song. I’ve never seen/heard this before. What have we done to each other 😢Thanks BP
Given Up by them is crazy! Chester holds a scream note in that song for 17 seconds!
You are going to love Bleed It Out by Linkin Park when you get around to it. One of my favorites from them!
I love your reaction. Chester's voice moves me and i get emotional everytime i listen to that band. ❤ from France.
These guys have always been good and solid young men with a conscience and a heart.
Listen to Midnight Oil sing "WHILE OUR BEDS ARE BURNING" about the injustices in Australia towards the Aboriginal people...great song, about another powerful topic.
Don’t go there, my taxes pay for their advantaged lifestyle!!
Yes you are right ❤

Show this guy Fort Minor - Black P would absolutely loveee it
This song i put on repeat for days and days on end!
Totally agree!
I first listened to LP when I was in 8th grade back in 2001, that was when they were starting to get big. RIP CHESTER...
