    Seems to me like there's pressure between the hitch and the tongue of the trailer. Put the truck in neutral so the tension

      I think that is exactly the problem

    The jack is likely a grounding issue. Attach the trailer back to your truck and retract the jack then remove the three bolts attaching the jack to the a frame. Clean all the rust and paint off from around the mounting holes. If this doesn’t work you will need to run a ground wire from the motor to the a frame. As and RV technician I see this issue a lot with this particular brand of jack

    Sounds like a good plan!

    Seven, I think your a nice guy but is there ever a video when there isn't a "problem"?

      I have over 600 videos... so I'm guessing there might be one without a problem! actually the few couple hundred are me traveling around the world with very few problems

    It is hard to beat the weather here, isn't it? I passed your rig the other day while out riding. Did you make it into town for Boom Days? The burro races were today and that was pretty cool.

    Agree with you on not taking it apart for something that won't been seen by other much

    Check the voltage at the trailer jack (it Still sounds like you might have a bad connection). The vehicle shouldn't have to be in neutral and it shouldn't matter if the emergency brake is set to get the trailer off the ball

    Add a face frame to your cabinet and it will hide all off the plywood edges and the supports for the shelves. Will also make the shelves stronger. If you have a Kreg jid. They are great for face frames.

    Tell me one thing is that hitch rated for 5000 lbs that's a lot of trailer for that hitch. I would like to see a distribution hitch. Jack he jammed it it happens all the time no big deal. Running the truck in neutral is very unsafe. But what do I know 🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦🛠️🇨🇦

    Ben is right I GUARANTEE it’s a bad ground. Tongue jack jack grounds to frame of trailer, use some serrated ground washers designed to cut into metal.

    Thanks for the video, Seven. I love the area you're camped in. Wish I could be out there as well. lol You're doing a great job on your build and looks to be coming along fine. Every job of building something from scratch hits snags and just needs to be figured out. You're doing great at that as well. I look forward to the next video and the progress you're making building your home. Thanks again. You're really becoming quite the problem solver. hahaha

    We had an issue on two of those Jax’s an installed a hand crank one I gave up with the power ones!
    The microwave can alway stick out an inch without an issue normally , we modified ours to fit using the bracket from our camper even the legs. Taking apart a bran new microwave was not very cool but it turned out perfectly

    Seven, definitely looks like your jack was lifting both the trailer and your truck. If you look at the start of the video, the lever that locks the ball in place is still mostly down in the first shots and the wheel wells look like the truck is sitting pretty high like it's being lifted. After you released the trucks brake, the locking lever is all the way up and out. You can avoid that by blocking the trailer up really well and doing exactly what you did before you start lifting it, go back into the truck and release the brake on the truck, put it in Neutral and then back in park and reset the brake. As long as you are on level ground that should release any tension that's on the locking mechanism. If the truck/trailer combo is on a slight uphill it may want to roll back against the trailer and the ball locking bar which will cause it to want to be stuck. I'd also recommend lubing the inside of the ball area of your trailer and the locking bar. Keep an eye on your wheel/well clearance in the rear wheels and get a feel for how much gap there is normally with the trailer on, and how much there is with it off. You should be able to tell pretty easily if the jack is trying to lift the truck that way.

    Seven , try doing it with the truck running

    • @SevenWanderstheWorld
      @SevenWanderstheWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      can you elaborate on why that would help? just curious. thx for the suggestion!

      @@SevenWanderstheWorld the alternator puts out more volts then your battery. Usually around 14.2 and keeps your batteries topped off while putting the drain on them. I wouldn’t think that would be your problem but also check your ground wires on both sides of the plug. Truck and trailer

    How long and how wide is your trailer? And what did you pay for it?

    Build a front face frame for your upper cabinet it will clean up how it looks and give it strength.

    • @SevenWanderstheWorld

      I just googled face frame. actually didn't know about them and this looks like a perfect solution!

    Seven I hope you gave the microwave space large enough space. Microwave are difference sizes.

  • @19Photographer76

    OK so Seven, you're plugged into your truck, the battery running the jack is the truck. Putting the truck in N is one issue but leaving the truck running would be the better sollution.

    • @SevenWanderstheWorld
      @SevenWanderstheWorld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm a bit confused... why would the truck running help? battery running the jack is lithium and in my trailer

    • @19Photographer76
      @19Photographer76 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SevenWanderstheWorld I've made the 'assumption' that you have a work truck and the alternator should supply the power to the jack. It won't drain down like the battery. Don't listen to me, just try it.
