That was great information. I have just thinking about buying a Juki, so not only did I get to see you at work and see how great it works. Got valuable info and feet I would also use with my quilting. Love your quilts and your videos. Thanks for sharing, I watch all the time.😊
My favorite Juki Junkie buys are the Throat Plate for Thick Fabric, a Hinged Zipper foot, and a Non Stick Foot. Those feet are crucial in my quilting and bag making adventures.
Thank you for the update close pictures at the end. I was SO resistant to spending the money for a new sew machine when I felt like my singer was just fine. But I didn’t enjoy sewing and more enjoyed all the other parts of quilting. lol. I bought the Juki and I enjoy sewing now!!!! It was fun to see all your goodies. 🙃
Hey Kelly - I got that same left compensating foot and larger plate from Juki Junkies a couple of years ago. I love them both. I never switch back to the other plate. I hope you enjoy them!! Gigi and her crew are awesome. Thanks for your time to share with us! Oh - every first day of the month I clean my entire machine - under the plate and open the bottom door and clean it all. It helps a lot to keep it scheduled.
I mentiond pairing it with the dogs HW prevention. I think monthly unless I swap totoally over to the poly thread. Im considering it. Just seeing how little lint there is in my longarm per bobbin. Ill let you guys know how it goes! -Kelly

I'm a Bernina girl, but I am going to see if they have a binding foot, and also an oil pen. Thanks for your video. Also, just about to sew my rows together on the June sew sampler quilt, which yours made me have to do!
Omg after watching you clean under your plate, I decided to do the same to my Juki HLZ-F600. Thank goodness I wasn't on video. What a mess! Going to order the cleaners you use. My machine will ❤ me.
Great show! Nice gift from Juki Junkies. I love that store. My question is what kind of thread had you been using to make all that lint in your bobbin area? I have been on a thread hunt of sorts looking for the best low lint one. So far for my Juki, Mettler has been best. I only use 100% cotton. Thanks!
Ive used Aurifil, Connecting Threads and Cario Cotton(the glide at Juki Junkies) and feel like they are all about the same. I run through a ton of bobbins.... Im currently trying out using glide 40 and 60 as my primary piecing even though its a poly. I love them on the long arm and feel like I should at least try them out on the home machine too. Ill keep you posted :) -Kelly
Thank you, Kelly. I have a Juki TL 2010 Q. You gave great advice to someone looking at the Juki's. Where did you get your stand for the Pieceful Basket block? I love it.

I've been sewing for decades I started at 8 back in the 60's. I have never bought "gadgets" to clean my machine. I use a small soft paint brush and I use high quality pipe cleaners that are used in electronics. I sew on an Emdeko which I got abt 10 yrs ago. I called Juki junkies for some help twice and they blew me off. I couldn’t get any help on a couple of free motion quilting questions. So I didn’t have a great experience with them and I probably won’t shop there anymore. Sorry, but I can’t agree with you about great customer service. Just my experience 😢
Im so sorry to hear that. Ive only ever had great experience with them. Id definatly reach out agian if you are up for it. David took wonderful care of me before I started even filming for youtube at all. Do you have a Juki sit down, longarm or are you working with a domestic machine? -Kelly
@@oldenglish. I probably watched 50 TH-cam videos before calling them. I had just a few questions that weren’t covered anywhere in videos. It took probably 10 minutes when I talked to someone at another shop. @@pickinstitches I have a 2010q and I watched tons of videos before calling. I had specific questions about quilting with rulers. I’ve been fmq for a couple of years, so they weren’t really newbie questions. It’s ok, they can’t really right anything at this point.

Good Idea! I'll give it a try!

I posted more pics on the FB page if you are interested in them. There is a. slight line just inside the binding from the top stitch.
