It's definitely worth addressing, but I think to some degree it's a manifestation of powerlessness in day-to-day life. Not necessarily that they have bad lives or are unsuccessful, but more than with every day for the last couple of decades, things in society have been getting worse and worse. Because we don't have parties or political movements that represent us for truly important things, people become tribalistic about football and other sports instead, because they are some of the only remaining bastions for impactful opinions and getting their voices heard. I could be wrong though, and perhaps it's just that all football fans are morons.
@ very intelligent depiction. You are most likely correct but I still think it’s crazy how people are wired up like that. It’s strange how if there team loses then there weekend is ruined or the message that is always going around when England play about how domestic violence increases if England lose. It seems a lot of football fans are mentally weak and unstable and cant compute unbiased thoughts
Germany don't care about us at all, their rivals are Holland. Its similar to how we don't care about Scotland but they would sacrifice their own children to beat us
Then again Sol Campbell didn't have a problem switching from Tottenham to Arsenal or Jamie Carragher supporting Everton growing up playing for Liverpool, same with Ashley Cole switching from Arsenal to Chelsea. Ex-United players like John O'Shea and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer supported Liverpool as a child but yet celebrated for United against Liverpool when they scored the winning goal against them.
Rephrase the question, would you for the reported salary a man United manager earns, as a working individual and Liverpool fan, manage Manchester United and put your heart and soul into it…..yes, you damn well would.
This video is EXACTLY why everyone needs to know what clubs the Referees supported as kids and what clubs/managers/players the refs don't like. Too tribal.
Germany don’t see us a rival so why do we. It’s legit just because of the history between the two countries all the way back in the WAR. Germany’s more worried about the Dutch in football rather than us.
I've said it before he kissed the tottenham badge i saw it with my own eyes from the first row of white hart lane 😂😂 and that 1st caller i couldnt tell if that was ringo starr he was so scouse .. 🎉
I'd manage Germany against England for peanuts. It's a job at the end of the day. If Tuchel faces Germany in the world cup final, he'll obviously want to win as it's personal glory. Germany winning does nothing for him, winning as England manager does. It's that simple.
No it’s called not being emotionally unstable and making normal decisions in life. It’s a job just like any other and that is why Darren is and has been way more successful than majority of people on the planet
It’s actually mental how emotionally unstable football fans are. It’s madness

@@richardsmith9615spot on. Lad.
Only little Englanders see Germany as "the enemy".
2 world wars and 1 World Cup ENGLAND
If England win a trophy with Tuchel in charge it's tainted.
@PerfectMask1 no.

Bore off

I'm a leeds fan and would get man u relegated any chance I could!
That is why we need you back in the EPL asap. Heard your getting Cootes so maybe a possibility soon.

No
Germany have enough good coaches it wouldn't be an issue for them who to hire. Bent played for Spurs and he's an Arsenal fan it was a job.

For the record, as a Forest fan I’d NEVER associate myself with Derby in ANY way.
I would manage germany against england anyday. As long as they pay me £100 million. Nothing less 😊
If you’re patriotic, money shouldn’t matter . I wouldn’t do it for infinity money

I would and if I came up against my teams in Liverpool or England in a final I can’t lose… I win it for me or gift my side/nation I support the trophy
I'm Wolverhampton wanderers I would never manage them down the road
Which ones? West brom or Coventry?

If any Liverpoo fan got paid they'd manage Everton lol
Leeds in the CL final 🤣🤣🤣
Are we talking FIFA now?🤣
You're welcome thinking as fans not as a professional in the sport
Oh he could he played for Tottenham and hes a arsenal fan 😂
Phil ...what a ####
Wow that's bent for ya
Sums the guy up. No integrity
Darren Bent The Hypocrite
Bent proves yet again, he puts money ahead of club loyalty. The guy has no integrity
Integrity doesn't put food on the table or pay the mortgage unfortunately.
@@jackhewitt600It is possible to have integrity and pay a mortgage and put food on the table.

Money talks
Moneys the root of all evil
What a pointless discussion
Bent already went to Spurs when hes an Arsebal fan. Clearly not a huge fan of Arsenal (or England) for that matter.
I know he's a joker
It's a job do you not think there's plenty of payers who've played for the team they gre up supportings rivals?
Arteta is a Arsenal fan and he was assistant coach for city…
@@thisisspartaa7910 so what?
Literally makes no sense..
Paul merson supports Chelsea and won the league for arsenal..
What's ya point
At club level, no but it wouldn't bother me at international level
