Hey Nico, I love your videos! I have a reporting question for you: A number of clients have reached out to me looking for cross-device assisted conversions/conversion paths, for instance, confirming if mobile users come back to convert on desktop. Do you have any idea how to set that up? From what I understand the tracking is still cookie-based, so this is probably impossible. I thought Google Signals would provide some insights, but I don't see anything online suggesting that that's true. Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I haven't done much of this because:
      a) Google Signals only tracks a subset of cross-device behavior. Since we don't know how big the subset is, it's hard to draw any conclusions from the data.
      b) It tends to be a really small percentage of users where the overlap is measurable, so even if we did trust it, it's not very actionable.
      c) Reporting on cross-device behavior requires the Reporting identity to be Blended. I usually set it to Device-based to avoid thresholding.
All that said, here is a technique: you can create a 'Segment overlap' exploration, with Conversions or Transactions as the values. The overlap visualization itself is kind of stupid, but it *will* show you paths below the visualization.
Theoretically you can also create a funnel report and specify device types and 'Is conversion event = true' as your funnel steps, but the catch-22 is that it only works with the Blended reporting identity and it tends not to show anything because of thresholding if you have the Blended reporting identity enabled.

I also don't know if the technique above will continue to work when Google removes Signals from reporting identity, per today's announcement. www.linkedin.com/posts/charlesfarina_google-will-be-removing-google-signals-as-activity-7138606700353265666-jSYa/?trk=public_profile_like_view

@@Twooctobers Thank you Nico! I see what you're talking about with the low volume, not trustworthy. Some of my clients are running Blended reporting identities, so I'll try out the segment overlap report and let you know if I can get it to go.
