Yes they do that. They buy prepared songs from special websites and they buy all the rights to them. Making a hit is 20% about the track and 80% about promotion. If you give me a sample of people farting and enough money for promotion I can still make it a hit more easily than if you gave me good music and no money for promotion.

see the problem is this sounds good because you have a great ear for music. you get the bounce, flow and energy of the beat and build around that.. A lot of people dont have that ability, and try to rap or sing with no bounce or flow.

Sing into a mic and listen back. Modify your voice so it sounds better. Repeat. Also, relax. If you tense up while you sing you could seriously injure your voice. It's really that simple. There are some vocal exercises that can help out as well.
