ISRAEL: "No deal in sight" - Netanyahu does not believe in release of Hamas hostages from Gaza
Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu sees no deal with Hamas in sight, while the USA wants to present a new negotiating proposal. In Israel, however, there are doubts that an agreement will be reached. Despite military successes in the Gaza Strip, Hamas is far from defeated. Amit Halevi, a member of the Defense Committee, is calling for a massive expansion of the war to free the hostages. Family members of the hostages are protesting in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The conflict is expected to continue into next year.
