I got tired of waiting on the Notos to be released and picked up a Barra 1100z pcp on sale for $225 instead. But might still have to get a Notos eventually. Notos is probably about the perfect backyard squirrel/plinker pcp gun for the price for about 90% of people honestly.
Well let me just say that 1100 Z that you picked up for that price is an absolute steal and from what I have heard is an absolute laser appreciate all the input brother you stay safe and happy shooting
It is only a close range squirrel pistol/carbine. W pointed pellets head basket shots 15 yards or vitals shots with hollow points type projectiles. Eastern greys or fox squirrel. Very tough for the Notos. I've had them scurry to a hole with a 40 fpe .22 air gun. Notos is only 20 ish fpe! Close range but with precision will get the job done close. I have a 22 air gun that pumps out 90 FPE, they don't scurry away on that! 😆😆😆👍
@@AIRSTREAMRIFLES yeah but you can't shoot them good unless you do the break barrels and Pumpers first that's where you got to get your teeth you can't beat the classics
Fantastic shooting, excellent video. I enjoy seeing others having the same awesome experience as I have with my Notos. Its just data that can help others make the decision. Sure if one guy likes it, great. But if everyone who owns one, loves it, thats a bit of helpful nfo when deciding to take the plunge. The Notos, certainly is worth the plunge. Great work homie.
Whether or not based on another brand, Umarex definitely has a new showpiece with the Notos. I hope over time that you will also experiment with the hammer spring and report your findings. Is on my list but currently as always with the launch of a new air rifle overpriced in Europe. Patience is cultivated with age.
I hear you on both counts I may try to increase or decrease the Hammers spring right now I am going to enjoy, shooting it and run all kinds of pellets through it and see what it likes if I were to adjust it I’m always about war power lol thank you for all the support swinging by and checking out the video you stay safe and happy shooting
Love your scope Lou! I still have the Bestsight 3-9×40 EG on mine...its good for 70 yds. And that's about the max effective range I've seen with mine..awesome group too! Especially for its maiden shooting..😊👍
Right on I am super pleased I’m hoping to stretch out to 50 in the upcoming weeks going to do the shot, strength test etc.. Thank you Mr. Whitfield for all the support and hanging out with me again this air gun is awesome sauce brother you stay safe and happy shooting.
Only umarex I have is the Umarex Forge with the wood stock in .177. And I honestly honestly like alot with it being the first Umarex I ever purchased a couple year's ago. I been thinking about grabbing the Umarex surge max mostly just because I like the look of it lol. I'm really liking the looks of this one also now lol ty and nice grouping.
@FirstStateAirgun Absolutely brother I always try too catch your videos. The past 2 month's been hard on me with having surgery and then losing 2 family members 1 day apart. But I love channel and you're energy, you seem like someone I could easily hang with all day and do some shooting and have a blast.
Great work Lou. You look like a sharp shooter. Brother 30 yards is just the starting point. I hope you will show use how far those pellets shoot accurate? I know the JSB 15.89g domed pellets I bested quarter size or just a hair larger at 75 yards.
50 yards next definitely gonna try lots of pellets The Lord of read gave me the comment about using our WS pallets the other day. I have to get some more JSB’s. I think I will try to Hades next.
I have a mega capacity 15 shot mag coming from Maple in Canada. My bank doesn't let me buy from Carm. Always gets rejected, so I went with the Maple brand instead. I'll keep you guys posted on how it works out after arrival and testing. This Notos is so light and a pleasure to shoot! Everyone should pick one up! Great shooting Lou!
Looks like the second one is working good brother! It really looks like a great compact carbine. _Sadly the fact that it is "a pistol" is exactly why I will never be able to try one in Kenada!_
Yes I am very happy with the service pyramid are provided this one works flawlessly actually I think it has a tad more out-of-the-box power than normal just tell the folks up in Canada that it's a rifle carbine kit not a pistol LOL
Haven't got that far yet that was actually my very first time shooting it that day it's going to be a little bit but I'll be getting some updates every week or so on different types of ammunition and tune settings with the hammer spring and other data
But yes it is regulated averaging right now about 780 feet per second as claimed pushing about 19 ft lb with the pellets I will give slugs a try next time out for your brother you stay safe and happy shooting
Like it some but not enough shot count.Too much filling and not enough shooting. Not a very durable PCP air gun either. Not impressed with this cheap plastic model. Hey nice review on this tho. have fun with er. Only live once right? Stay safe out there friend.
My Notos will be here monday
