Keep at it bro. Watch some Pensado’s Place too! It focuses on the engineering aspect of music recording, more in-the-box stuff, but it’s INVALUABLE INFORMATION, just like these videos. But his videos are a straight university course quality type of thing. You WILL learn how to engineer and produce quality music from his videos.
This was by far my favorite one of these I've seen. I learned so much from Joel, and like his ethos on creating records is so fascinating. Please never stop. And also, one video editor to another, mad props to your editor(s). These videos are all amazing.

It's the "Ucreate Music" from a company called Radica. You can find them on ebay for about $50 bucks. It's a toy that can sample, and it's got some cool built in effects
I don't think that was ever implied even remotely. He was saying that to be able to provide someone, who may not have access to high end/quality equipment, the opportunity to work with gear of a higher caliber is something that is important and honorable.
