Been getting lots of comments about my Shaders, Resource Pack, Mods, etc. so I made a video for all you fine people!
th-cam.com/video/el6aWFoYLx4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YGvrOXYlkp-bojvM
They should definitely add a [GUARANTEED TO SPAWN] structure with swamp villagers acting as a villager prison. Once you've killed all the witches you can release the imprisoned villagers back into the village, instead of needing to transport them over.
+ Having wandering trades be more likely to spawn at taverns, along with better trades.
Thank you for this!
Can you plz plz make a vid on your shaders settings
I was actually just gonna ask you for that, ty!
im pretty sure there are no jungle or swamp villages is because vines and lilly pads mess with their pathfinding
Im pretty sure that the last time villagers ai where updated was in 1.14 like im not smart on the java programing side but couldn't they just make villagers avoid those blocks like they do with holes?
Villager pathfinding is terrible anyways
it was because they wanted to encourage people to build their own villages in those biomes, but found them significant enough to give them outfits still
@@CERISTHEDEV I remember they climbing vines when panic
@@CERISTHEDEV or better yet, code it so they can actually use those blocks. I see no reason why Mojang can't just... fix their own code-
at this point pillgers are basically more advanced civilization than what villgers can ever wish to be
real 😔
itd b cool if they had villager camps and villager mineshafts ^^
Or the pillagers are just constantly hitting the reset button on villagers.
@@frankyanish4833 I think thats literary the case.
Is this a subtle metaphor for geopolitic?💀
@@chenxing6157 more like a juxtaposition of pacifist ideals versus a lack of respect for property rights.
hey there, creator of dungeons and taverns.
The desert ruin not being exiting was due to the entire desert temple in the center being buried as I wanted to surprise player with an fake desert temple. I'll actually put the entire thing above ground next update lmao.
the Illager Hideout actually did base as framework for the DnT Stronghold overhaul (separate data pack from DnT). like there are 5 more DnT related data packs with structure overhauls that actually replace vanilla structures each
really fun video showcasing the datapack though! 👍
Haha yeah, I could tell he hadn’t explored it fully cuz I saw your posts on twitter so I just know just how massive that structure really is.
Hey that’s awesome! When I end up exploring this pack via Survival I’ll make sure not to sleep on the Desert Ruins next time haha
Glad you enjoyed the video, and thank you for making the pack!
bro you’re such a w for making these cool structures, makes me really enjoy exploring again in my modded worlds
Great mod/data pack, I'll definitely be using it in future worlds! One thing though, I noticed in the piglin camps, their using regular campfires when I believe a soul campfire would better suit the structure. Otherwise, great work!
@@polywally24 piglins are scared of soulfire. Why would their camp.have soulfire? It makes them run away lol
Honestly, i think it'd be fun to just have singular houses occasionally scattered about in a world. regular ones would have 1 to 4 villagers, and there would be a chance the house would be abandoned like the zombie villages that the base game has. I also think a black burnt wood would be cool, and that village structures had a small chance spawning burnt.
Way too alive
Think it would be better if those types of house were generated nearby villages and not just at random in the world. Villagers don't feel like the type to make a singular house far away from a settlment.
Wandering traders however, would make more sense. On a smaller scale of course.
You gave me a nice idea
also, if the villager farms were actually full fields
I would've love seeing an "End Citadel"
or just any different structure in the End dimension
I think the pillager hideouts NEED to be in the game, they work so well along with the mansions and I think its even an upgrade. With much better loot then a mansion it just makes so much sense!
Illager mining outposts would be better in my opinion.
is that Fairbarn Jackson? lol
@@GuyMaleMan well actually yes it is loll
Oh, I know this datapack! The effort put into it is honestly incredible, the absolute amount of files in the DNT stronghold rework is *insanity*
like, god the work put into this datapack is serious; ive followed and watched it occasionally and
its impressive !
Friendly witches sound REALLY COOL THOUGH. like imagine a different trading/bartering system where u can pay them to brew potions and its twice as fast or something, like a blaze powder-less brewing option. Imagine curing witches like zombie villagers or making a special healing concoction that can bring them back from Pillagerization or something, idk
I love how all these structures give such a minecraft dungeons themed vibe
I suggest checking out some of the data packs made by Whimzee on youtube, like the jungle “update” or pillager “update”
the structures definitely feel slightly less vanilla but still minecraft-like and i bet it’d add yet another dimension to the exploration if you were to do a survival world with this data pack
(P.S. I’m not sure how much the creator cares about other creators using the data packs, if they care at all, or how well the data packs would work together with all of the different structures spawning in, but it’d make for a really freaking cool series to just conquer all of the different types of structures and dungeons and beat all of the bosses those datapacks add. )
Great video mate I’m loving the MC channel so far !
My one structure that I would love to see in minecraft would be a villager city/kingdom. This pack almost hits that same cord with the amount of stuff it has. I'd just love to be exploring some distant lands one day and on the horizon I'd see a castle, walls, and tons of houses.
Bit big for minecraft to make entire towns since you only can have structures in an 256x256x256 area but im working on an ruined villager/stray/breeze citadel that is heavily based on minecraft dungeons lone fort
@@novaember9990is it maybe possible to daisy chain structure blocks? To artificially get around that limit
5:05 yeah it was hard to track down my world's desert ruins from a map i found at a tavern. mine was only a mere 68k blocks away... thank goodness for the /locate structure command
If Minecraft actually took inspiration from the community, the game would come back up instead of making 9 year olds cry when the new update doesn’t work the first time. This mod is going to be the next thing I install.
4:03 A NEW HAND HAS TOUCHED THE BEACON.
I definitely feel like mojang could break up some of the menotomy of the game with some of these cool changes and also little things like fallen trees, bushes, more variety of trees within a forest, signs of life been and gone and there and maybe even signs of disasters such as tornados and broken up ground as signs of an earthquake, just to get the player to Imagine and make their world more part of them. Just some thoughts
Fallen trees are already in the game
@@treycopeland1368bedrock only
i really appreciate the integrated subtitles, it helps so so so much!
Love the video, what an awesome showcase! I'll be watching your future series on this.
I love that most of these are taking from minecraft dungeons, I always loved the things they did in that game and wished they'd add it to vanilla minecraft
I will probably use this pack now in every playthrough! Thanks for showing that awesome pack!
Hell yes Ive been waiting for something like this to pop up
Ive been using the Roguelike Dungeons mod to try and do this but all the dungeons are basically the entire game progression, goig from wooden tools on the first floor to diamond armor on the last
Jesus Christ this stuff would fit perfectly into vanilla mc, the fact that one guy can make all this but mojang can barely shit out an update every year continues to baffle me
Gotta keep people employed 🤪
Microsoft are basically putting a stranglehold apparently because they don't want to lose the feel of the game (to be fair the community complains about this all the time). Like. Every change has to be vetted and approved which colossaly slows down development
@@titanic_monarch796yeah but it’s
Minecraft, not like u can’t just play an omder version 😂
Bro swear mc developers are FUMBLING.
They should add new maps, new portals, new items, new biomes, new hostile mobs, new buildings etc.
Yet what do we actually get? Every few years we get to pick between a glowing squid or a damn frog that doesn’t even drop anything 😂
@@SoloLEVELRWell, you want more content, and microsoft wants to make more money, so they've developed this conservative style that stifles the devs from having proper freedom while still pushing them to make changes
Dude, a series in this world would be awesome. You got my subscription
I love this data pack. Its inspired me to create some creative stuff for my own world. 🙏
Your channel is so refreshing and genuine, love the content keep it up
I've been putting together a modded playthrough all about exploration and building. Definitely gonna add this data pack!
love the videos!! keep it up joe
Great video! I will have to try this out
I would definitely be interested in seeing a hardcore series with this datapack, though i recommend you use the four other DnT structures datapack alongside it.
16:55 This is very good to know! I was about to ask if it replaces default structures as this is something I'd love to use alongside Yung's Better X. Cool demonstration! I love how you avoided spoiling some of those really big structures.
absolutely incredible data pack, and your video is very good too!
while watching this I thought about adding a structure that starts in the overworld, leads to a portal and ends in the nether (that would be SICK).
again, ty for presenting this data pack that is amazing with an amazing video!
Sometimes I play these crazy modpacks like dungeons dragons and space shuttles and they have HUNDREDS of structures/biomes. You can roam for hours and never see the same thing twice, it’s so fun
Great video. I'd like to see like a Villager castle, or abandoned castles . Something bigger like a city, but also rare
The swamp village with thewitches kinda reminded me of the mod hexerei that has a complete village with stilt houses its pretty cool
that dungeon REALLY reminds me of the Trial Chambers holy shit that is so cool I"m actually kinda getting chills
I would love to see a play threw of this or a series or something show casing everything
The undead crypt work so we'll with the trial chambers, also looks like you took a couple pages from Minecraft dungeon:s book, at least from what it look like
I love how the pillager hideouts are just Yiga Clan Bases
Literally, there was one room which was just a 1 to 1 recreation of the stealth mission room
Damn. They’ve got the creeper crypt from Minecraft dungeons.
This is a great video! Thank you.💛💜
Yeah.. with how amazing this stuff is made by much smaller teams, I’m really starting to think Mojang is lazy. And uncaring for what the minecraft community genuinely wants. This stuff is incredible.
If you actually took time to read a tweet made by one of the most famous Minecraft devs then you would know that the process to make an official update takes an enormous amount of time. That and you don't know how much time it took for this data pack to be made.
The most likely reason Mojang is so slow is because having too many cooks spoils the broth. A solo developer or a small team could be just "hey wouldn't it be cool if we added this?" and then just go ahead and do it in a week or two.
However, in Mojang and other big studios, it's like
Creative director or a game designer has an idea → game designers debate whether it's even a good idea that fits in the game → concept artists draw their visions on the feature → programmer codes the first iteration of the feature → creative director checks it out and gives feedback → repeat the whole chain until the vision is realised and the feature is fun enough
Not to mention all of the needless bureaucracy and the fact that you have to work with the bedrock developers too at the same time. They're probably not lazy, just that their system is inefficient and incredibly convoluted.
@@finboror yep, kingbdogz kinda confirmed what you said. Not to mention that collaboration between programmers makes the work load easier but they have to all come together and make sure the code is readable by everyone.
@@Adewayy dude.. it doesn't take a scientist to realise these fan made data packs have taken a significantly shorter amount of time, made by significantly less people, so much sooner than 3 years. im not ignoring the fact that it takes longer cause they're a bigger company who have to do things in a more professional manner either though.
@@hippityhoppitygetoffmyprop it also doesn't take a scientist to realize that the process for making an update for company made games take substantially more time. Much of the staff at Mojang are literally ex-minecraft mod developers. And again, look at the tweet made by kindbdogz made on the subject. Don't criticize Mojang for being lazy, especially if you aren't a developer yourself.
Awesome editing and nice datapack! might give it a try
The pillager mining outpost gave off far cry outpost vibes. also this pack looks really cool another banger video once again mr demonjoe
Awesome video bro!!
Makes me wonder why for the BILLIONTH time why we can't have these things in the base game... With how much money and resources is poured into Minecraft it's actually insane
This combined with YUNGs Better Structures is just cranking up exploration to 1 million
the with village looks like the houses were modeled off of the minecraft dungeons witch huts :0 pretty neat
For me, these structures give off the same vibe as a big lego set. Looks fantastic, exciting, really well thought out. There's just so many details, so much going on. Really immersive.
love the vid this is so fun to watch
2:13 lmao that monster hunter achievement is the equivalent of the camera cutting out only to see the guy exiting covered in blood
Love the cotl music, been playing that recently :)
Bro, that manor is SICK. Yeah, i'm DEFINITELY downloading this datapack hoooooly crap XD
Great video!
I feel like we still need a early game backpack like item for exploring to be really good.
Back in Alpha/Beta when we didn't have any structures, the feeling was so different. It felt like some weird purgatory where no one else has ever lived in. And everything was covered in this thick Silent Hill style fog to hide the low render distance.
Damn you have really perfected your editing skills, joe
0:52 Any video that has little big planet music in the background is an instant like from me.
LBP was my childhood so I use the music when I can!
I am not in to data packs but this one sound really good. I think I will have to check it out. Thanks
Craaazy one. Thx for introducing to this data pack, I’ll wait for the letsplay, so +1 sub. good job🗣️🗣️
Thank you!
This seems like a wonderful mod! My explorer mind is loving it lol
The pillager hideout reminds me of the Yiga Clan hideout in BOTW
I will be using this mod. this. is. what. I've. needed.
and this video also taught me how to spell segue
10:50 that villager was zooming, He got away too.
Creeping Crypts above ground creeper head is taken from Minecraft Dungeons, which you couldn’t enter but did have creepers around the head.
(Not sure if there was a comment saying that, but I wanted to say it anyway)
Pillager villages are the one thing that I ever wanted
1:40 The battlebus up there 🧍♂
Found a new favorite mod ❤ thank you
Those huge sprawling dungeons are giving me an endless maze Daggerfall Dungeon vibe. I wonder if there's an option to reduce them down to something you can clear out in like 10 or 15 minutes instead of three days.
The desert ruins are actually a lot bigger than they look at first because there’s a huge area to uncover underneath the main building with suspicious sand and tons of hidden rooms.
The undead crypts for some reason feel so much similar to the new Trial Chambers to be added into 1.201.
The whole data pack great! It is incredible given the fact that how little it changes the base game but how big of a difference it creates to the gameplay.
Perfect for my 2 week Minecraft phase 😅
This seriously sparks something in me that mojang hasn’t sparked in a long time.
They may be the reason I've been waiting for to go exploring again.
Which is to say the reason to play MC again.
now this is the true village and pillage update
Huh, this is actually what I was looking for.
13:52 At first I read the "Piglin Outstations" as "Piglin Outhouses" lmao
Damn this is cool
A lot of people say that mojang cant update the game to be like this because itll lose the original minecraft feel, and they if they’re right, mojang is severely mistaken.
This modpack feels more minecrafty than any of than what Minecraft is right now. These are the features 10 year old me would’ve thought the next updates were gonna have. And it doesn’t even add any new blocks or items, just using the ones we already have and creating something new.
this was a sick video!
No matter how many structure mods you add, nothing will bring back same feelings as playing&exploring MC as a kid
This is heavily inspired by Minecraft Dungeons, and i love it
btw Nova also did reworks to many vanilla structures like outpost and ancient cities
I like the introduction. I got straight to the point. Then I thought "that's exactly the opposite of what I'm looking for !"
It's cool anyway, I put a like.
Yeah I totally get people not liking too many structures to randomly generate (which is probably why Beta Minecraft has been so popular as of late). Regardless, I appreciate the support!
This mod satisfies my wanderlust that Minecraft tends to give me
I don't exactly think we need to overpopulate the world with structures. Mojang desparately needs to add the villages for the swamp and jungle biomes. I also think the surface stronghold entraces would be a great idea because it makes surface exploration much more rewarding.
Beyond that, I think many of the structures in this datapack just overclutter the game with structures that don't have much value overrall. With end cities, bastions, ancient cities, and trial chambers, Mojang added reason to their existence such as elytras, shulker shells, smithing templates, swiftsneak, and maces. With this datapack, all there is to find is "loot," which is very vague and unrewarding compared to the vanilla structures.
In the vanilla game, the small structures like desert temples and pillager outposts give the player a random assortment of loot, but the player doesn't have to diverge from their exploration too much to get the meaningless loot. That just gives all the more reason to add exclusive items to the larger structures. So that the player has a real reason to go on these self-imposed side quests in their exploration.
Agreed. Frankly im kinda tired of the "vanilla friendly" shit. I want some deranged shit that will completely warp the game. Like the old crazy craft mod packs.
what textures are you using?
i love the way the sky looks
Fantastic! My only complaint is that there are too many complex structures vs simple ones (layout and detail wise)
subbed for the hardcore series (regular survival also a option, its not easy to loot modded dungeons)
ethnically cleansing witch villages in minecraft
Damn bro your videos are so high quality yet you have very few subs,I bet you'll blow up soon
The witch made me jump as well 😵💫
How's it been Joey, its been a bit since the STW days. I haven't been into destiny much for a while so I kinda just stayed subbed and watched the occasional video and hoped you'd do a throwback STW video some day lol. I would definitely watch you play with this pack though if you made a series on it. Also what shaders did you use for this video? I love the vibrant yet still vanilla look. I'm gonna make a mod pack with this pack to test it out, I haven't been able to play Minecraft without getting bored for a while but this pack looks fun so I'm hoping it goes better. Hope you've been doing good.
I’m using Complimentary Shaders but it’s heavily modified. I’ll have a video out sometime this month going over the settings for my Shaders, as well as other packs I use :)
What a great video :D What shaderpack are you using btw?
Here's a video on them! :)

This is such a cool data pack and video!!
(Also what shaders/textures do you use)
Here's a video on my shaders! :)

I would totally love to explore vanilla minecraft's map.
IF THEY HAD ANY STRUCTURES.
I think that it is good not to have Jungle Villages, because it encurages the player to build one. Especially since they have exclusive mending now.
Also some of the taverns look too good compared to
vanilla structures and might discurage players from building their own home, since they can just move in.
I really like the dungeons, because they feel like a big improvement to the original ones. Maybe it's just the size.
well a tavern is meant to sleep there
So what? It’s a sandbox, people can do what they want
"this structure is so rare, the closest one is 5 KM a way"
>datapack to reignite the wonder of early minecraft exploration
>look inside
>its more structures and world bloat
Not gonna lie that crypt looks like a daggerfall dungeon... but better :)
I do wish that the Swamp Villages weren't just for Witches, and that it woirked sort if like vanilla villages with their abandoned versions, where it's a chance that a swamp village would be ivertaken by witches.
