    I finally install the disk breaks on the Honda Ruckus. I didn't expect it to be easy but there are some snags you can run into. My advice is to make sure you have all the right parts and the right tools. Feel free to comment if you have questions on how I did something.
    NOTE: I am not an expert but more of an enthusiast who is trying to build experience. Please feel free to ask questions in the comments or resources like 49ccScoot forums on the internet (Great Place!)

    Found out theres front drum adapters that allow you to use your oem front brakes on any rim you want,theyre alot cheaper. Then again discs are better for stopping.

      Oh lmao you already had that.

      Yea on a stock rim , I have the adaptor :) a hub with drum is expensive.

    Was there anything else needed to prepare the rim other than new tire, valve stem install, and pressing the bearings?

    Hi ceasar i know hard put on tires on rim because i did that back in past & now 17" rims on bike cycle by hand rope too.

    A tyre valve tool is literally just a couple of bucks.
    If you are replacing a brake hose get a vacuum bleeder. Saves a lot of trouble. If you tie the lever back over night it will let any remaining air out too.

      @SmallEngineVelocity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the long spacer goes on the caliper side

  • @Smallbore2wheels
    @Smallbore2wheels 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you look up the NCY kit I'm pretty sure the caliper is smaller. Similar in size to what's stock on the Groms if I'm not mistaken. But at least now you have some good stopping power. You definitely needed it lol

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea the caliper that come with the kit with the ncy wheel is definitely smaller.

  • @ezurmnd
    @ezurmnd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    My question will be how tight did you get the axle nuts? Because if i tight mine all the way then the front wheel wont spin freely so i got it hand tight but im afraid that thing comes off

    • @SmallEngineVelocity
      @SmallEngineVelocity  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Buy the NCY front axel. You can put cutter pins in it.
