I love a fun cozy series, thanks for the tip, I wasn’t familiar with the shipwreck cafe series. Congratulations on the blackout.🥳. I do love Maeve Binchy!❤️
Yay for getting a blackout! Don't pressure yourself. Reading is supposed to be an enjoyable experience. In the last week, I've read In the Blink of a Pie by Catherine Bruns and The Shipwreck Cafe series books 1-3 (thank you for the recommendation). I'm enjoying The Shipwreck Cafe series and want to see how it all wraps up. I really enjoy the mysteries, setting, and characters. I loved all of the charitable/remembrance things done in this series. The relationship between the brothers and how it changed was interesting and enjoyable. This series does have a few topics that trigger me personally. I have a sensitive soul. Also, the ghosts made me sad. This happens to me with ghosts in books. Even if they are able to move on, their stories make me sad. Overall, I liked this series and I'm glad I read it.
Oh thank you cat. I love hearing what you thought of the books. In my mind, you are the queen of cozies. I've not read anything by Catherine Bruns, so I need to check her out. ❤️🥰❤️
@@believeinyourshelf You are so sweet! 💕Since I'm a series binger I haven't read a ton of series but I have read them thoroughly. You have brought up so many cozy mystery series I haven't heard of and want to check out so we can both be Queens of Cozies. 😻I've only read the Maple Syrup Mysteries by Catherine Bruns and recommend it. I would like to read more by her.
Hi, Tammy! Avi is such a fantastic writer! My kids and I have enjoyed so many of his books over the years. Lumber Camp Library is also in our family library - another interesting historical fiction middle grade book. ❤ I wanted to let you know that this past week I read (in just one day!) 'Life As We Knew It' by Susan Beth Pfeffer based on your recommendation in a recent video. I absolutely *loved* it! I do enjoy post-apocalyptic books, and somehow I'd never heard of this writer and series. So thank you for sharing! 😊 ~ Kim
I'm so glad you enjoyed Life as We Knew It. There are 4 books in the series. I thought numbers 2 and 3 were good, too, but I didn't care much for book 4.
I couldn't wait for today's video. You told me you had got the blackout, but girl I wanted to SEE it, to bask in your success. Big congratulations!!! That was quite a feat to do with all new reads. Super exciting. I'm having fun too. For October I got my 1 bingo and then did a blackout for the rest using books I've read before, keeping a list so I don't use them again. I'm using a spreadsheet to finagle it all, ha. I'm knocking out TBRs and using books from my shelf or loans from the library as an extra rule I made for myself not to spend money, not with the stacks of books in my trolleys just there waiting for my pleasure.. One of the other players got a black out bingo too, using a mix of new reads and old reads. That got exciting at the end too -- she was missing two, Ireland and apple. But we had a group text chat to came up with books she had read to match those prompts and...voila! We discovered that the wands in Harry Potter are made from "apple" wood! And that C.S. Lewis was born in Ireland. Thank you Tammy for making this so fun. Here's to November and enjoying seeing how you play your card. Any way you want!
Fun reading! I love Lucy Maud Montgomery, but it's been a loooonnnngggg time since I read Jane of Lantern Hill. I am slowly working my way through all her books, though.
Yay for the blackout! I hope you like the Maeve Binchy- I loved so mahy of her books. I know you said you have books picked out for all the November prompts. but, if you need something for Those Wacky Seniors, I suggest the Southern Sisters series by Anne George - actually they would work for laughed out loud too.

You are so welcome! I'm definitely enjoying the Maeve Binchy book, and if you read the Shipwreck Cafe series, I hope you will love it, too. ❤️❤️❤️

My mom sure loves that series. I've only read the first book. Those sisters are definitely wacky and fun! 😂❤️
