Oh wow another deejus video of my game. I'm sure everyone knows what the result will be. First time on the map so i played olaf to be safe. Didn't really have a plan and kantbei did so i was so behind in the beginning. I was also pretty rusty, just came out of retirement. Wasn't playing any global league games from November 2022 to March 2023 (still playing on every tourney though) 25:00 I was like my winter fury was good, im sure max doesn't have much, i think i can push. I will just make sure by sending in a recon..... oh god. 28:55 It was a good play, very smart move. No luck :) 30:30 I think this was the biggest mistake of the match, if kantbei got a neotank i would just lose. Fortunately he got a bomber! 35:40 I'm pretty sure kantbei used the power for the 10% defense in order to protect the bomber. Normally anti air can kill a infantry on plains in 1 hit, but with power i can't do that. However at 36:25 the power actually made his infantry to strong and guarantee it will kill the 5 hp infantry with counterattack making me able to break it. 45:35 "if im him, im gonna pull back" I saw i could cripple a lot of forces, also any tanks on the factory would not reach me so i didnt think the counterattack would be stronger. And it looked like i was right! SPOILER ON THE RESULTS: I don't know how i won that game, i was prepared to press resign on day 15 lol

If I played AWBW I'd be freaking 400 rating but I've seen enough deejus analysis to know that such an overextend from Max ain't gonna end well. The baboon is strong even in the best players.

This comeback was harder that Nicomund in Violent Night. Play of the game was that Black Boat heal of the Infantry. Just a harbinger of things to come for Izanagi and income.
I like this map, I’ve always had tier3 and always picked kindle, even tho Andy is my fav co. build a kindle offensive battleahip on port, it kills so many units xd
These two are basically just doing a re-enactment of Operation Barbarossa (the German offensive on the Eastern front of WWII). Blitzkrieg vs the winter... and we all know how that turned out. So the ending was expected. 😝 Honestly though, given how well Kantbei played in the opening turns, it's shocking how badly he played when he secured the advantage.
Kantbei desperately NEEDED Mediums and Neos as soon as he could have afforded them daily! I think he needed to build 3-5 of them without giving olaf charge, holding back and that would have demoralized Izanagi with the income disparity. He would have zero responses to that army.
Dammit... If Kantbei had pulled back a little more often when he had 10k income lead, he would've won, easily. Tho to be honest this is a great example of the CO winning the match and not the player, winter fury is just too powerful, not only damage but also mobility penalty is too much. Finally, I don't get why these top level players struggle so much with the concept that I call "tide in-tide out" basically, when you're in the enemy's frontline, you don't attack constantly every turn, you should attack, then back off, regroup to allow your back units to catch up, and then attack with even more force. These constant attacks cost both players so much every time.
I think Kantbei could have played a couple more turns. I know he’s down bad at that point but he’s got a med tank almost uncontested in the middle. And it’s not like izanagi had that much there just some hanging anti air
@@swagmaster2003 Kindle is probably the strongest CO in tier 3. I just think something has to be done about Tier 2 because it is the least interesting tier out of all them. It is mainly just Max Eagle and Olaf. There are the tank charge from Max, Stall with Olaf or double turn from Eagle. Something has to fix Tier 2. Personally I'd say you have in terms interesting matches Tier 1 then Tier 4 then Tier 3 then Tier 2.

@@swagmaster2003 The point is Tier 1 is less map dependant. Hawke, Javier, Sasha and Von bolt are generally never bad picks on most maps, in Fog you add both Grit and Sturm which adds even more versatility to the match ups you can have.
T2 is fun if one person plays Max. T2 is the worst when it's an Olaf/Eagle/Sami mirror. T2 is the best when it's a Max mirror. T2 is weird tho because Kindle can fall in it sometimes and other times the T2 COs can easily go toe to toe with T1 very fairly. Then there's the fact that Max can crush someone like Sasha and Hawke a lot of the time. While at the same time, Sami/Olaf/Eagle would be extremely weak against Sasha and Hawke(if he secures his SCOP first).
I think if a mangs infantry mid to late game takes up enemy tanks to kill, then it was a good infantry. Especially in the conditions that were at play in this game.
Tempo doesn't last as long as you think. Unless they are actively trading for tanks on the other side, it's wrong. And once they're getting shot at, the tanks are already out of position, so pulling them farther away from the fight increases any tempo or cuts the losses. Source: me playing for tempo way too often lol
This battle felt like trying to shovel snow in Norway during winter. By the time you're done, everything's just covered in snow again.

Tier 2 Fog seems boring, you only have 3 COs in the tier. This is why kindle should be tier 2, modify the match up a bit.
Kindle is worthy of tier 3, but you can use her in tier 2 if you want, although it's not very smart.
