A friend of mine lives in the Dom Rep for 20 years now. She says that "beach boy" bs is pure business and whole families are involved in those scams. The boys know how to find a desperate women, they can smell them a mile against the wind. Also those guys are often already married to a local.
I haven't seen a couple from the DR with American/English work out yet.
Happened to someone my mum knows, paid for everything, sent him money to enter the uk with abd money for his plane ticket, he never arrived in the uk. Doubtful he even booked a ticket never mind got on the plane. She was about 50, he was late 20s early 30s. Real Romeo & Juliet 🙄

It's honestly a horrible thing to do to anyone regardless of age and culture, but then it makes you realise what is the root cause of this being a trend in the DR, and it basically comes down to the fact that poverty and finances are such a huge factor that people are willing to sacrifice their families, partners, self esteem and morals to play games that would help with their bread and butter.
I've never seen any of the UK versions but I prefer just watching your recaps because you're doing the dirty work LOL😅

Yep. Modern women who have bought the lie that they are just like men, or even better than men. So they go and buy themselves a man and do the exact same sheite in reverse that certain men do and get judged for it, rightly so.
This girl and the one with the Egyptian annoy me the most. And it is even more frustrating that they don’t know that the guy can’t help with the application. She has to do it or it shows that she can’t afford it and that is part of the process. She should listen to her friend who already went through it. That lady is older than his mother. This is the problem with a lot of people getting with foreign spouses. They think they are so poor they are desperate and will accept anything. They ignore the fact that they are starving to provide for that foreign partner and in heavy debt to get these people in the country. Then when the person gets to the UK or America and sees the palace doesn’t exist…they start crying about getting scammed and used.
They could help pay with their earnings before they move and can't work?

Johan's mum reminded me of my own mum with the "illnesses" my own mother told me she had cancer just to get extra money from me as i am in UK and she lives in South America. I cut contact when i found out and guess what 17 years later she still alive and kicking...

She was expecting me to look after her as my ex was a foreigner.
