Not really fake, it’s functional, a throttle body made to look like a carb, saying that it’s fake insinuates that it serves no purpose other than aesthetics, not unlike the airbox on a v-rod, or the swingarm on a softail.
hey mate, love the review, i didnt like the speed master at first but now i love them, i have a triumph T100 and i love it also,,,,,,,,,,,i got a laugh out of the young fella saying is this a fake motorcycle. cheers fellow triumph lover/rider
Man! I love this motorcycle (came across it today looking for something else) and now that I learned yours was featured in Longmire i am hooked. I am 6.2 and a few years pass my 50 so starting to embrace the realities of ergonomics and age without giving up on my passion (motorcycling). So i am seriously considering this. The alternatives are Goldwyn and R-1800 Classic. Will see were my tush ends on top of. Great review btw
Hi. Iv just put your exhausts on my 2013 America. I did have the shorter ones on off road ones.. just asking would u know if I now need to retune my bike to compensate the exhaust change. Thanks for any info. Iv put them on and they seem fine
Thanks for the vid! I just passed my MSF Basic course and am looking for a beginner bike at 49 years of age and 6ft. I tested out a used 2007 America yesterday and it was a fun ride. They've also a 2013 Speedmaster for just a little bit more. Do they handle differently or is it virtually the same? The seat seemed a little more cramped, but now I want to go test drive it as well.
I’m told it’s the same machine except chrome and a tach on the Speedy. I think all bikes have tiny differences in feel and performance. Congratulations and have fun!
Thanks for the insight. It seems that Triumph and H-D are a bit secretive about what gets built where. I think the first Taiwan Triumph I rode was the Street Twin, and it was a knockout. Best I can tell, my 09 Speedy was Hinckley, but perhaps not. My Honda Ridgeline pickup was built in Alabama. Can’t fight progress
@@poormansmotorcycleclub7581 no problemo mate. That would have been an interesting visit. I'd love to travel around the world, visiting the manufacturers. Could be a while before it's possible, sadly.
I liked your video. But, Bloor bought some land and got the Triumph logo and rights with it. There was a substantive gap when no bikes were produced. In fact although owned by a Brit the company can no longer call itself a manufacturer of British bikes as they don't produce a high enough percentage in the UK. There was a purposeful drive to employ Eastern European staff in the Hinckley site for quite a while and whilst i have zero problems with this it has come at the cost of local employment. It's all pretty sad.
You can’t quite get the same machine new anymore. Absolutely the only issue I had was batteries. Because some computer safeguard requires a completely full charge, I ended up replacing batteries a couple or three times.
Always pleased to hear about the speedmaster..
Love my 2013 speedmaster, although still getting use to the weight!
Nice video
Thank you!
Thanks! Great machine
Great calm and useful review , I'd ride this in 2023 . Greetings from an ex HD and now triumph bobber owner in Scotland
Oh, thank you! The Bobber is the BUSINESS!
Thank you Sir, cool & informative video 😊
Much appreciated
Heavy? Its so light! If compared harleys or even honda vt 1100

Also please don’t be offended, I like your content, was just giving you a different perspective
Really? Thanks! So many articles at the time failed to mention this

not sure if you've gotten one yet, or something else, but I'm 6'3" and fit perfectly on my 2012 Speedmaster (same ergonomics). It is a great bike.
I love the way you ended it
I have a 2006 America. The 33º rake was on purpose
Thanks. It looks cool as hell, for sure
Love my Speedy.... great video. ;0)

Thanks for checking in. I would say it's always a good idea to let an expert look at issues like this. Off the record, I'll say you're probably fine.

Taking the driving license and this is my first bike ever 👍
Good luck, welcome to Life on Two Wheels; and congratulations on starting out with maybe the only bike you’ll ever need

Thailand not Taiwan. 👍
@@Royalenfielda I appreciate the correction. I have been to the Yamaha facility in Taiwan, so it clouded my mind

Agreed mate
Is this one any more reliable than the new ones? Read reviews where new ones rust, parts become loose, trans problems, etc

Hi, thanks for checking in. When I click the video link, the audio is ok on my end. Sorry there’s a problem. Have a good weekend
