im super confused as to why Emily was the top voted contestant in almost every asian country... they confirmed it during the live. Perhaps asians really like cute looking or is it because she is blonde and blue eyed? really odd to me that she was so popular in the east to beat out even girls like Lara and Sophia
Emily asian fan here, idk abt the others but i voted her bcs of her amazing dance and confidence when it comes to stage. I didn’t even know she was that popular in asia (i was even scared she'd get eliminated in the previous mission), but i hope that they voted her not just bcs of her visuals but for her great talent also.

When manon went to hug samara and she ignored her, i think she felt "she deserved manons place", which is such a racist mentality becuase why her specifically? why is she not bitter at someone like megan who was only saved by judge votes? internalized racism if u ask me, she def thinks it was either her or the other black girl
I think Samara just knew Manon had been replaced in her stead because the fans wanted a “token black girl.” I doubt it’s internalized racism. She was always completing with Manon for that spot. They needed to have more diversity in their global group which consisted of mostly asians and one latina. Don’t take this the wrong way. 🫣

Based on what I've seen, hybe really wanted her to be the visual/fan attracter of the group cause of how well she did it during the show. I would say samara's spot was taken by Megan, even looking at the votes , the judges votes boosted Megan to the 5th spot

She even said "she does not apply the notes properly" which is the kindest way to say Manon dosent follow instructions. Its ironic bc all the wannabe girls missed a TON of practice days in mission 3 and yet ezreqla critiqued no one for it, (and no judges pointed it out either).

Ok my thoughts on the line up, perfect line up. Ezrela was one of my picks but I accepted she didn’t suit the concept bc she wasn’t versatile enough and she took trying to be kpop too literally I believe if they had more of a vcha concept she, Emily and marquise would debut. However Ezrela didn’t diverse her stage presence enough and concept and Emily didn’t have a suitable voice. Marquise was always getting outshine so it made perfect sense why those three didn’t make it; they didn’t have a role that would fit the overall visual harmony and chemistry we see in katseye (their intro vid they uploaded OMGGG it solidified why they didn’t debut even more and I’m seeing the visions the judges were looking from ) Okay now let’s break down Samara and why I think it wasn’t just the controversy that made her not debut tho I thinkthe controversy was still the main reason for the most part. Samara peeked at mission 2 (she had the best performance in the fan meet too bc I think she knew she needed to do better bc her voice was still shaky and out of sync a bit in the song at times in the actual performance for voting) after that Lara really improved her dancing and stood out better then Samara in her own team mission. Megan improved her voice enough to and thus she basically peaked mission 3 (hence why I don’t think she got more traction in votes she just kept getting outshined by other popular contestants including Samara in the past). And that’s who Judges preferred hence why they gave Megan the highest score and beat out Samara and Ezrela. Manon was kind of her supposed competition but Manon had her own thing going she was the Stan attractor and stans spend money boasting her up in billboards and talking about her or making social media accounts dedicated her. Hybe and Greffen saw this and realized she continued to rise steadily among fans and improved enough that she became three “potential” pick which I noticed Hybe does this with every group they make-one member that has this it factor and arguably less talented and skilled as their competitors for their spot. Eventually Greffen relented when they saw the social media boasts about her and they finally all agreed to debut her bc again the concept suits her and she has enough potential popularity that can drive more capital and attention to katseye themselves. Samara does not have that and it took this one thing to completely ruin her image and thus drop in votes. If she hay stayed in the top 3 at least or at least close to Lara in mission 3 she might have had a chance but also her worst performance was dirty water tbh (even Manon was more eye catching then her and Samara had the shiniest dress lol) and she definitely looked fake half the time when performing after mission 2 to be me idk she seemed she was trying to hide that there’s something wrong while Sophia and Ezrela did a good job disguising themselves. That’s why she didn’t debut or they could spin that outside the controversy in my opinion Overall I’m happy who debuted at least three of the 4 of my faves (Daniela Lara and Manon 🎉) and I’m looking forward to whatever katseye brings ❤❤❤
