As the dial spindle on those Diebold tri bolt chests is a special version for only that model, breaking the dial off is not recommended unless absolutely necessary. And pretty sure they have not been available for many years. There are other ways to open.

Would it be easier to cut through the side since it isn’t an x6? And if this were a trtl-30 could the door still be drilled?

Any door can be drilled even a TXTL-60X6
