Have you looked at maybe putting a small section of short pile carpet on the bottom of the slide skis? You could do a small square so it stays inside the RV and is not exposed to the elements but provides the same effect of allowing the slide a surface to ride on.

We had purchased plastic gliders for our other RV. You put them down when your bringing in the slide. Pick up once your set

There are things that you can put down when opening and closing the slides. They look like sleds. Flat runners like.
We will have to check into that.
Check with someone who installs flooring in rvs.

Did you remove the old wall paper off the walls or did you put up the peel and stick wall paper over it?
We put the peel and stick over it. RV wallpaper is actually more of a vinyl wrapping which helps with sealing, etc so it’s best to leave it in place and then paint or cover it with the desired covering.

Hey Charity and Ben, i have a question, We're looking at a Avalanche 390ds.. It's a great rv for us but instead of a Queen bed in the extra room, we want to remove the bed and replace it with a pull out couch. We're going to be full-time and though the bed is great for company, we want to make it a den but still have the pull out for company. my question is, how much weight can the slide hold? Will a couch be too heavy? If you have no idea can you tell me how to find out? I love your videos! Y'all are great
I’d just be sure to try to replace weight for like weight. So if the couch weighs the same as the bed, you would be good to go.

What color is your new dinette? It looks kind of green on the video, but I didn't see that option at recpro.

Ben you are so me with shoes on the bed and Charity is so my wife. Get you shoes off the bed. Just take them off. I had to laugh when I watched that part.

Those pine 2x4s are pretty heavy...did you estimate just how much more weight you’ve added to the slide?
We did and actually with the heavy couch, the heavy dinette and SUPER heavy upper cabinets we removed we estimated we’re actually less weight on the slide than before.
Would you do it again?
Yep! It feels so much brighter and comfortable now.
