YES !! I was waiting on your update. I'm on month 3 of my two strand twit journey and changed to medium twists last month. I'm so excited for my 1.5 year length check
Omg you’re the best! I will do a more detailed update video on my twisting journey! Anything specific that you would like to know? Thank you so much for the support!❤️❤️
@@torionastewartGiiirrlll I've just been wanting to know how the indigenous standz method was still working for you. I'm on the same journey, but I do braided plaits. And I love it! Watching you inspired me to do it!
Your hair is beautiful. On a scale 1-10, I guess my wash day would be around a 6 or 7 lol. I use conditioner to detangle, then I shampoo, DC, and style with a mousse or cream. How often do you detangle?
Awww!! So happy to see you beautiful!!!! I missed your videos :D My wash day routine is not as simple as I’d like, but I’m getting there. I pre poo, shampoo, deep condition, add leave ins, and style in braids. I can probably cut out the pre pop and deep condition 😅 Are you going to be posting more regularly?
My wash day routine is very basic and very similar to yours...I use Amal and shikakai duy shampoo (sometimes black soap) and Aloe water as contioner, retwist and go about my day lol
Love your videos. I was on the twist journey also and my hair was in my back a lot of persons pressured me to cut It and I did. So now am starting over using the same route routine. But this time am not cutting anything.
I need to leave my twists and stop over manipulating them every month by taking them out completely then putting them back in. Your hair has thrive so much. Girl look at all that growth!! Omg!!!!! Question: Do your scalp itches a lot? I started this twisting journey about 3 months and I love it. But my scalp itches a lot. What would you recommend for that? I use aloe Vera juice and I do my own herbal oil infusion. Idk if the scalp itches because of the deep conditioner I use on wash days. I don’t use shampoos but i do use conditioner.
@@Forever_MeMe I do not use shampoos but I do clean my scalp with African black soap & even when I was using shampoo’s my scalp itches so it has nothing to do with the shampoo. It may be the conditioner because since I stopped using that my scalp isn’t itchy anymore.
Whenever my scalp itches, I know it's time to 'rinse' my hair. I get under the shower and just let the water run through my hair. Easiest done when showering. i just let the water run through my hair and I give myself a bit of a scalp massage. Sometimes that's once a week.
Hello, I know I’m not her but in Indigenous Strandz original routine, she uses flaxseed gel to essentially “freeze” her ends. The ends stay in place, don’t unravel, and the possibility of single strand knots is reduced
1.) Pre Poo my hair with Oil 2.) Shampoo with Peppermint Castile Soap, ACV, & Water mixture. 3.) Deep condition with Shea Moisture Manuka Honey hair mask 4.) Style hair with Aloe Vera Juice & Wetline Extreme Gel.
Thank you! Do you mean taking them down by stopping my twisting journey or taking them down by wearing my hair in a twist-out? If you mean stopping my twisting journey, the answer would be never, lol! I love this routine and it is helping my hair grow so much! If you mean wearing a twsit-out, I will wear my hair out every now and then (once every 2 months, maybe, but not frequently) !
Please don’t scrub your scalp directly with African black soap cause in some of them you can encounter pretty sharp chunks of charcoal that could injure you.
@@torionastewartwhen you say you remoisturize your hair every month can you clarify for me if this is misting the hair with aloe Vera juice or is this taking down each twist, misting with aloe juice and retwisting back? Also, do you massage your scalp daily?
Sure I can clarify! When I say re-moisturize I mean that I take down each twist and spray with aloe Vera first, then oil and shea butter, flaxseed gel on the end. Sometimes in between the months before wash day, I will spray only aloe Vera juice on my hair if I need to lightly cleanse it. I hope this helps!❤️

Yess, So happy for you!! Love to see the consistency! Thank you for the support!❤️
I like twist journey's because in a way you are simulating locs. You're re-ties are like your retwists
Yes, I am! Essentially, I'm re-twisitng and moisturizing to prevent my hair from locking to maintain loose natural hair!
Even though I’m a veteran natural, I’m still working being consistent with a wash day routine.
Toriona please we waiting patiently for the part 2 video showing us how you moisturize your hair. We so enjoy your videos
Thank you so much for the support! Uploading part 2 now!❤️❤️
You look beautiful and your hair is thriving ❤❤❤ so happy for you and your progress! Looking forward for the length check
Thank you!!❤️❤️
Would love to see the take down process of your twist😊

Wow…😮 four months between wash days!!! My routine is simple… shampoo and conditioner!
Haha yes life was life-ing, lol! But I try to go 3 months, max. Of course with light cleansing in between that time.

Thank you so much! Sounds like a pretty good wash day routine. If what you're doing is working and keeping your hair healthy, then keep at it!
6 is how simple my wash day routine is I’m working towards a 2 like you. Can’t wait to see how your hair has grown ❤❤❤❤

Welcome back fam💜
Happy to be back!❤️
Your hair is very beautiful !🥰🥰
Thank you!❤️
I didn't realize you posted. So glad to see you are doing well. Your hair is doing well. Have you done them a little bigger or same size?
Thank you! They are the same size!❤️
Hi. how do you deal with split ends and single strand knots?
Hello, I know I’m not her but in Indigenous Strandz original routine, she uses flaxseed gel to essentially “freeze” her ends. The ends stay in place, don’t unravel, and the possibility of single strand knots is reduced
Hello! Keeping my hair moisturized, put up in twists, and flaxseed gel to seal the ends!
Yayyy you're back!
You may have mentioned it…. but where do you get the African black soap?
The link for the aloe Vera juice did not work. Could you tell me the brand of aloe Vera juice you currently using? Thanks so much.
Sorry about that- the brand is Fruit of the Earth!
1.) Pre Poo my hair with Oil

When do you plan on taking down your twists?

@@torionastewart I was asking about the latter. Thank you for your response dear
Your hair is beautiful dear, you mean you don't use deep conditioners, leav in conditioners on your hair? what about protein treatment.
Thank you! I do not use any of those on my hair at all, not even protein treatments.
@@torionastewart you do meant "do not use any of those" right
@@cas6996yes sorry for the typo!
How often do you retwist your hair ? 2 times a month ?
Once a month!
in 1.5 years???! Let me get on my zoom!!🏃🏾♀️💨
Haha Yes get on your zoom, asap!✨🤣❤️
Please don’t scrub your scalp directly with African black soap cause in some of them you can encounter pretty sharp chunks of charcoal that could injure you.
You're correct if you have the authentic black soap.
So you keep your twists in for three months before washing?
I wash my hair every 3 months but retwist (without washing) every month!
@@torionastewart thanks so much for the response! I just shared your page with my daughter so she can do what you’re doing!
@@qiv777 No problem! Thank you, I hope this routine works for her!✨
You can wear a swimsuit in the shower. Your hair is lovely.
Thank you!❤️
*promo sm* 😆
3-4 months without washing… Interesting.
Cleanliness aside, my hair would loc up within literally three weeks, let alone months.
My hair would loc up too if I didn’t touch it for 3-4 months. I haven’t washed my hair in 3-4 months, however I do re-moisturize my hair every month!
@@torionastewartwhen you say you remoisturize your hair every month can you clarify for me if this is misting the hair with aloe Vera juice or is this taking down each twist, misting with aloe juice and retwisting back? Also, do you massage your scalp daily?
