Smooth moves, round the world on short lines looks much more manageable. More strapless kite foiling please, not everyone has given up and gone to winging.
lol from lowkey kitemare to back in the air sailing in less than 1 min, that was ace. Somehow the annoyed mumbling with the camera in your mouth makes it even more awesome XD
Nice to see how friendly a kite loop can be while holding the bar floats. Watching your solution to your small kite fail (from first-person viewing perspective) actually was an interesting training tool. :)
12m lines? That’s interesting 🤔 I’ve been flying the 9m in around 12 knots on 23m lines. The 5 and 7 I’ve used in stronger winds on 20m lines. What would the advantages be of flying, say the 9m in 12 knots on such short lines Sam, apart from the obvious increase in turning speed?
I normally use 20m/23m lines foiling but 12m lines are great for shooting the kite as its nice a close. Everything happens a lot quicker on short lines (15m and less), and they are really fun looping/turning the kite; more direct, faster and responsive but there's a lot less margin for error with kite flying and a lot less power in strokes and lift above your head
@@oceanromeo Upwind angle is also slightly better as the lines are not blowing the kite further back in the window. I fly my Peak⁴ smaller sizes on 14m lines, the faster kites will still generate enough speed and pull to get you up.
Tried the V2 in Tarifa the other day. A nice British guy gave me a 6m to test in light wind instead of a 9m. Must've been a good Tarifa club session the night before ;)!
I knowwww sorry about that im working on it! Winter time and new baby has got in the way but summer is coming, going to crank out more videos soon! Thanks for watching
Hey Sam! The video looks great, i am fan of foiling since I startet few months ago! About short lines... is it recomendable to use them with 5meters UFO or 7m o could be to fast? For daily use its nice or better the 20/24meters? I have never played with the longness of the lines despite I kite since 5 years and I am totally curioooous ajajajajaj
I've been using the V2 7 & 9 over here in Aus, I agree with your comments about them being faster. Where did you get your short lines? Did you make them yourself?
I love my Slingshot Dwarf Craft 100, once your proficient at foiling you don't need any volume and can use a tiny board, the only disadvantage to a very small board is its slightly harder to get going in very light wind but still doable, i weigh 80 kg

Awesome Sam - looks effortless. Great going straight back in Round The Worlds after line wrap!
Thanks!
Great moves Sam.
Well done! You made a standing-strapless-line-inversion-recovery look effortless! 😎
Around the world and 12 m. lines! 😃👏 good Sam, congrat !
Thanks! 12m lines are so fun foiling
@@SamLight I have never use lines shorter than 20 but I see that “shorter is better” in this case! 😂

Hi Sam,
I currently have a Cabrinha XBreed and want to get a dedicated kite foil board. I weigh 90Kgs, any suggestions appreciated.
