I would like to mention that the peak physique passive only works if you’re using the melee button with both stun lance and baton using the fire button does not apply to passive.
@@loshitoshi1555 They should also rework the input for melee weapons. I would love that they add a parry or push function that you use with the melee button. So if you equip the lance with a shield you cannot parry or push away, but if you're holding it with both hands you can now defend or push back.
fun fact, the kick emote from the new warbond is a real melee attack, ragdolls, and benefits from melee damage boost. lance + shield + kick actually feels pretty good.
I figured this out by playfully full send kicking my homie in the face because he threw a strat ball at me. He lost half of his health. I lost my shit. By far my favorite buy lol
I think something a lot of folks are missing with the stun lance/baton is that they're secondary weapons. They're not intended to be your workhorse option, they're something you pull out situationally when needed. I've been using it with the blitzer. When enemies *cough*hunters*cough* get right up in my face it struggles to hit them, so having something that can deal with that problem reliably has really rounded out the loadout.
Also, if player press 5 button, attack count as "shield bash". This attack stuns enemies nearby, and goes long recharge or consume stamina. That was be cool buff, i think.
@shadow_watcher19 I wouldn't expect anything soon, but they might give it some attention later like they did with the rebalance patch. Things are in a pretty good place as of now though.
@@shadow_watcher19 A shield attack plus you should be able to stick it in the ground for some temporary cover, maybe latch your two handed weapons onto it for bonus accuracy. That would give it a unique use from the other shields other than it doesn't run out of AA batteries like the other two do. If you use a melee weapon too there should be a bonus for that, maybe you flinch less and enemies flinch more. Ballistic should would then become a good melee/heavy gunner tool, as you can march into a battle, clear a zone, stick it in the ground, and mow down any un-patriotic jerk that comes your way. If you have your team supporting you, you become a huge space clearer that lets them push up. One can dream, anyway...
I hope they add a super earth flag spear melee. Impaling a brood commander with the symbol of our people would be democratic ASF. Come to think of it that was literally in the launch trailer so I dont know whats taking them so long. Also since it doesnt have a stun it should do more damage and inspire the nearby troops even while put away on your back like a sashimono. The "Inspiring" would probably mean a speed boost which could also apply to the SEAF that run to safety on the evacuation missions, or it could be a reload speed upgrade and/or a melee damage boost.
I think melee weapons should have their own slot in each loadout. Like, they replace the "punch" and you still get to bring your primary, secondary, and grenades.
What would be the downside if its just a better punch? Also the melee weapons have a notably longer unholster speed for a good reason, if they just appeared in your hand when you swing it would look weird and if it took a while to pull it out and swing it would be really annoying. Could you expound on how you think this should be changed?
It'd make sense, provided they added some more standard melee weapons, such as a combat knife as the default, and maybe some stuff like a sword in the superstore
That would make you carry too many things. I don´t like this idea of yours. Makes game too easy. Now, you have to create actual build around Melee weapons.
I wouldn’t mind them making the throwing knife double as a more powerful melee but beyond that I really don’t think we need our poor divers carrying any more than they already do.
Also as an additional fun fact, the new armor also adds ammo to the secondary weapons as well I tried with all the machine guns and I had the extra ammo which was nice for the heavy having 4 instead of 2
Primary refers to the shotguns, assault rifles and the like, secondry refers to the pistols and support weapon refers to the strategem call-in guns. The armor is meant to work the way it is, its just worded poorly.
Still not worthwhile with the hmg imo since it has so much recoil. It’s super cool to have extra ammo, I just find it to be much more difficult to use from range
I imagine the armed resupply would be useful for heavy weaponry with lengthy reloads like the spear or recoilless to help cover you as you resupply and reload so you can take out heavies. As a spear user myself when we run out and need a resupply we either try our best to get out of dodge to reload and if forced to fight try and clear as many smaller enemies so we can reload so what safely.
Honestly I do love the new Booster even if technically it's mid-tier. I like that it still gives you a decent turret option in case you don't want to take another turret with your current loadout, so it's nice for situations like that... but if you're running a turret build then sure it adds a bit more Daka but otherwise I would recommend a better booster. It's also a booster that I think is best to take if you're in a full squad of 4, because that way you can still have 3 other better boosters. All in all definitely a decent booster though hardly "meta", but then when has it ever been truly fun to just play Meta?
Right now the Siege-Ready armor perk is bugged and gives ammo to primaries, secondaries, and support weapons. This will eventually probably be patched out to only be primaries.
It's just so hard to compete when the senator and the grenade pistol exist. Not only are they best in slot they stand so Head and shoulders above all the other secondaries that it's hard to justify taking anything else
@@klaykid117I wouldn't go that far. Senator and grenade pistol are great but unnecessary at times depending on the build. I'd much rather take other options like the dagger depending on my primary and support weapon. I don't think that melee is super powerful, but I will say that the melee secondaries, due to there utility, are a pretty safe option for some of my builds where I don't need heavy pen or extra grenades
The Baton you could get from the Super Store seems to sacrifice the Lance's range for increased attack speed which I found pretty useful against the zombies while the Lance felt better against the Terminids since with how deadly their melee is, that extra reach helps in not getting ripped apart as easily.

Armed resupply is great for illuminate especially against the flying squids. Those guys can be a pain to deal with so having the turret wipe them out is nice

Doesn't seem like a massive investment to me, as many people already wore these armors without ever even utilizing melee
Feels like a weird way of wording it on there end tbh, like people compensate for the weapons via armor or other stuff all the time. It's called a build... It's kind of like how people say that the stalwart is only good if you build around it but will be sitting there having to wear specific armors cause they took hmg.
It will never not be funny when an overseer challenges you to melee and you pull out what is essentially a stick with electricity and go "bet" before beating them to a pulp.
My favorite thing about the flame sentry is that sometimes when an enemy destroys it, it explodes, either damaging or taking out the enemy attacking it.
Used the stun baton, ballistic shield, adjudicator, and quasar without the peak physique passive and I was rushing down heavy devastators and squaring up on chainsaw bots on a lvl 9 last night and it was so much fun and more successful than I thought it would be.
I’d love to see the devs add a third melee slot to our load out, I need to run the Lance along with the sizzler for my ultimate version of the mando build!!
The flame sentry is great when doing the siege mission have yourself or a teammate cover the sentry from the bigger guys and that turret will mow down the voteless we even ran flame grenades to get them hit before the turret did anything
Great example of how to do melee weapons correctly guns transforming into swords, swords that eat enemies to reload there gun ammo, lazer beam swords that get stronger the hotter they become blade needs to be changed randomly during combat because of that, swords that expel parts to become a different style as combat progresses, chainsaw sword, telekinesis sword, emp melee weapon charges up and does a AOE emp, exploding shuriken's.
Sorry, I've been away from the game a little bit. If anyone could answer this very big thanks. Did they change/revert it so you can no longer easily destroy Automaton fabricators with a single shot from a Recoilless Rifle (any angle)? Or is the Recoilless more powerful than the Anti-Tank emplacement that takes two shots to destroy them? Again, very much appreciation for anyone who can provide an answer.
For the melee weapons peak Physique will NOT work if you are using the primary fire button. You must use the melee key to get the bonus so if you are not already doing that your going to find that is hits a lot harder then you originally thought.
Anyone else getting the vibe with the AT turret/emplacement and the new armor passive that they are preparing us for something bigger than we have seen before(in helldivers 2). Maybe something with a health bar?
I think it would be cool if we got a melee weapon like the stun lance that could slowly charge up a single decent shot as well. So you could have a slight range aspect to it but the heavy lifting is still in melee attacks. Maybe a slight charge up like the purifier or something?
I like using AOE weapons on any faction, the purifier does great at stunning tons of enemy types. But that means I can't use it onanyone that gets too close to my chunky self. And the two stun weapons seem great at giving me that space i want. Plus I can safely take out the heads of berserkers with either the first poke or the follow up. And the baton is a decent crowd control

Did you test agains impailer legs with the at turret? I mean for some weapons its faster to shoot at a leg than the face like with commando launcher and HMG
The siege ready armor is labeled wrong.. Not sure if it affects the reloads of support weapons too, but it does at least affect the max ammo. HMG gets 3 extra mags instead of the normal 2
Playing with friends on this game is the main reason why it’s fun. But the disconnect problem has been an ongoing issue since the game launched. My friends constantly get disconnected and it’s so incredibly frustrating at this point that we just end up not playing the game. And that’s a shame because the game is awesome. But this problem is unacceptable and the fact that they haven’t fixed it yet is insane to me. Also the stuck/frozen on “establishing uplink” screen is crazy as well because when it happens, I cannot connect to anyone whether it’s friends or randoms. It’s ridiculous that they simply refuse to fix it. Again, it’s extremely frustrating because these 2 problems have been there essentially since the game launched and they simply refused to make it the top priority? It’s like they’re refusing to acknowledge these 2 game breaking connection issues even exist. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’d love for some insight since arrowhead is radio silent on these 2 problems.
Yes bugs can be inconsistent and only pop up rarely, affecting only a few players, connectivity has improved but seen some more drops with this latest update - And with their patching method of overwriting the code in larger updates and not keeping backups it's little surprise this still happens and why it takes a few months at a time to fix issues - I'm stuck with one bug since launch that causes the cape physics to glitch and "flick up" every time someone steps in the pod 🤬😂 Only seen one TH-camr have it so thinking that will never get addressed

Well, I don't know what you're doing wrong, but I can handle the baton against the bots and the stuff against the terminids and the Illuminate quite well
I may not be expert on numbers here but when he says the illuminate staff guys hit hard they pushed me threw a brick wall with one hit i died on impact 😂 💀 it was horrifying
I actually did test it you have to hit the eye Hitbox because how the eye Hitbox works is that if you don’t hit it directly then the game thinks you’re hitting the head The head hit box takes five shots but if you hit the eye it 2 Shots factory Striders
We NEED colour customization. Idc if it's a grindy thing that I have to unlock colours but man logging back in and trying to make a cool looking character but his armor can never look right sucks. Like I wanna make boba fett over here bro 😂
Serious question: Why would you ever take the Directional Energy Shield over the personal bubble shield or Riot Shield? The Riot shield will block melee and explosives, and the bubble shield covers you from all directions and will stop terminid melee in my experience...
Bubble Shield took sometime to recovered after it popped while Directional Shield can completely block Heavy Devas machine gun which personal shield couldn't
If they made secondary guns and melee separately, that would've been cool but im disappointed why melee counts as secondary when they should be separate.
Balancing for what dude? It's a pve horde shooter. It would take absolutely 0 away from gameplay to allow us to have a 2ndary and melee. Thats an outrageously bad cope
@gamer8622 don't want the game to be too easy. What's the point of multiple difficulties if everyone can beat level 10. It'd also get boring if you easily kill everything, some people no life this game so they have to balance around those guys too.
The AT emplacement looks goofy AF... Like where is it holding 30 shells of that caliber? It has nothing that's reloading it and no clip... It's just a gun being held up by a clamp and a fishing chair on the side. It's kinda ugly and goofy... BUT it kicks some butt so there's that at least
I had top secret personal orders from Super Earth to gather intel on the new weapons. I was to field test all of our new technology, and then report my findings to all of the Helldivers. My job was to better prepare the Helldivers to defend democracy on all fronts.
You definitely should've done more testing or you'll end upbspreading misinformation like the new melee weapons and peak physique. Eravin did testing and shows that the peak physique does not enhance the primary attacks of the melee weapons but the melee button version.
Considering I just naturally used the melee button to attack with the melee weapons in 90% of my testing, my results should be accurate then. Plus I'm sure the devs are planning to fix that.
This game is unplayable. I've been on for 4 hours today and have only completed 1 mission. I keep getting kicked out for network issues. I try to join games and they fill up quicker than I can join but when I start a mission set no one joins. 🙄
The Melee is pointless it can’t kill anything without multiple upon multiple hits and you’re getting swarmed the entire time, either build in a melee combat system or cancel it all together, also nearly all our weapons are horrendously underpowered they all feel like a mag dump is your only power
All these loadouts are so useless. Peak Loadout for illuminate is, Medium arch armour. Arc Thrower, las 16 sickle,500kg, orbital rail cannon strike/ orbital laser,Shield generator, Impact Grenades, Redeemer for shooting of the base ships shield and throw in a impact for the finisher if your out of 500s or railcannon strikes and thats it. so tired of these so called youtube content/ drama for views creators ,show off load outs. these youtubers dont know how to play the game proper and are only looking for views.

Yeah hopefully this gets fixed soon. There's currently a few different bugs that were introduced with this update.

It might be a good booster to bring for those short " kill everything in this area" missions

I feel like the melee weapons aren’t judged fairly a lot of the time. They’re secondaries and do an amazing job at being secondaries.

The stun baton is the best secondary for the torcher on bugs front. It covers the stager issue with torcher

Peak Physique is not an improvement to Melee Weapons, its a tax. It should be reworked.
We should be able to use the Jetpack while being prone. You will take a lot of damage but as a last resort measurement it would be fun.
I believe the cooldown with all upgrades on the Anti-Tank Emplacement is actually 153.9 seconds.

If the commando can take out the legs I'm sure the Anti-Tank can. The Anti-Tank emplacement hits hard.
The flame sentry can also kill Harvesters that get too close, much to my suprise.
Anti-tank emplacement is amazing and have the shield pack or liberater gard dog ur sold for protection

just to say, the new passive increase the magazine of all machine gun, like stealwart, heavy machine gun and the standard one.
It's a bug currently, they also increase secondary ammo as well
The siege ready armor is labeled wrong.. Not sure if it affects the reloads of support weapons too, but it does at least affect the max ammo. HMG gets 3 extra mags instead of the normal 2
it'd be cool if the stun lance shoot a little peashooter shot if you charged the attack
Playing with friends on this game is the main reason why it’s fun. But the disconnect problem has been an ongoing issue since the game launched. My friends constantly get disconnected and it’s so incredibly frustrating at this point that we just end up not playing the game. And that’s a shame because the game is awesome. But this problem is unacceptable and the fact that they haven’t fixed it yet is insane to me. Also the stuck/frozen on “establishing uplink” screen is crazy as well because when it happens, I cannot connect to anyone whether it’s friends or randoms. It’s ridiculous that they simply refuse to fix it. Again, it’s extremely frustrating because these 2 problems have been there essentially since the game launched and they simply refused to make it the top priority? It’s like they’re refusing to acknowledge these 2 game breaking connection issues even exist. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I’d love for some insight since arrowhead is radio silent on these 2 problems.

Yes bugs can be inconsistent and only pop up rarely, affecting only a few players, connectivity has improved but seen some more drops with this latest update - And with their patching method of overwriting the code in larger updates and not keeping backups it's little surprise this still happens and why it takes a few months at a time to fix issues -
I'm stuck with one bug since launch that causes the cape physics to glitch and "flick up" every time someone steps in the pod 🤬😂 Only seen one TH-camr have it so thinking that will never get addressed

I've been running the stun baton and ballistic shield with Peak Physique armor. So far I've no complaints. I'm a walking wall of blunt force trauma.

I actually did test it you have to hit the eye Hitbox because how the eye Hitbox works is that if you don’t hit it directly then the game thinks you’re hitting the head The head hit box takes five shots but if you hit the eye it 2 Shots factory Striders

Protip: the guard dogs continue flying around and protecting you while sitting on the anti-tank emplacement. Super helpful against Automatons 🫡

I honestly think melee weapons should be revamped into your melee action, not to use them as secondary weapons
Serious question: Why would you ever take the Directional Energy Shield over the personal bubble shield or Riot Shield? The Riot shield will block melee and explosives, and the bubble shield covers you from all directions and will stop terminid melee in my experience...
It can block for allies, unlike the base shield
The ballistic shield doesn’t block melee attacks though. It would be nice if it did
Bubble Shield took sometime to recovered after it popped while Directional Shield can completely block Heavy Devas machine gun which personal shield couldn't
If they made secondary guns and melee separately, that would've been cool but im disappointed why melee counts as secondary when they should be separate.

The AT emplacement looks goofy AF... Like where is it holding 30 shells of that caliber? It has nothing that's reloading it and no clip... It's just a gun being held up by a clamp and a fishing chair on the side. It's kinda ugly and goofy...

You definitely should've done more testing or you'll end upbspreading misinformation like the new melee weapons and peak physique.
Eravin did testing and shows that the peak physique does not enhance the primary attacks of the melee weapons but the melee button version.
Considering I just naturally used the melee button to attack with the melee weapons in 90% of my testing, my results should be accurate then. Plus I'm sure the devs are planning to fix that.

This game is unplayable. I've been on for 4 hours today and have only completed 1 mission. I keep getting kicked out for network issues. I try to join games and they fill up quicker than I can join but when I start a mission set no one joins. 🙄
Yeah, there's definitely some network issues. Hopefully they'll get a hotfix out in the next couple of days.

Depends on the enemy type. Some weapons aren't good against every faction.
The Melee is pointless it can’t kill anything without multiple upon multiple hits and you’re getting swarmed the entire time, either build in a melee combat system or cancel it all together, also nearly all our weapons are horrendously underpowered they all feel like a mag dump is your only power

All these loadouts are so useless. Peak Loadout for illuminate is, Medium arch armour. Arc Thrower, las 16 sickle,500kg, orbital rail cannon strike/ orbital laser,Shield generator, Impact Grenades, Redeemer for shooting of the base ships shield and throw in a impact for the finisher if your out of 500s or railcannon strikes and thats it. so tired of these so called youtube content/ drama for views creators ,show off load outs. these youtubers dont know how to play the game proper and are only looking for views.
