It was good to see how you repaired the injection pump cover for just the cost of a gasket and some "know how". I told my wife that Welker Farms can repair just about anything. That is pretty impressive.

Get a Fiberglass Clearance Stick and measure the pole for the wire clearance from the combine. If it's questionable, go around or get the Montana public utilities commission to revise the wires or post the needed clearance along the power line path. about Every 1/4 mile or so. 😊
Last year I got to see fireworks and a huge lightning storm over the Salt Lake Valley. Was awesome to see.

I'm old school and will always goes at a comfortable speed. Hoping you're able to get all your wheat done before that combine has to go back, you're really knocking out the acres. Great video as always, cheers :)

Driving through Montana is 2022 we were hit by the worst storm we ever witnessed. Pulled to the side of the highway pulling a travel trailer and standing on the brakes I thought we were still moving. Thought we would see Dorothy any minute.

It’s been so dry Michigan. It hasn’t rained for three weeks in my area. The corn in my area is starting to change and some of the soybeans, and normally that starts mid October to November

On smooth covers like that, I like to take some 100 grit sandpaper and roughen up the gasket area a little. It seems to help keep gaskets from blowing out by making little ridges to grip the gasket. Just my opinion of course, your mileage may vary.
Looks like the reel is threshing out more than the cylinder.What do you guys think And yes operated a combine back in the 80s
1 month with almost zero rain and now almost every day rain.Lets hope for a lot of snow this winter a lot of rain for 2025

The biggest header I ever cut wheat with was an 18 footer and I am curious about how do you watch the whole 50 feet to know if you are picking up something you don't want to go through the cylinder?

You should always keep at least 12' away from high voltage power lines. There is likely 17,000 volts on that line or more!
That was my fear!
For our safety we need to be 8ft away from high tension lines. obviously each voltage is different If your combine needs to cross under it I think you can call the power company for insulators for construction or farm equipment for free i think!
Also what is the clearance in the yard with the shop power?
Not sure on exact height in our yard but probably wouldn't hurt to be taller. Our sprayers can catch the wires if we boom out next to them
