Thanks for the informative video. I just ordered the seeds this spring and was disappointed when some of the info I found said they could only be planted in the fall. I also did not realize that it was possible to buy them already at the bulb stage.

I didn't know that liatris self seed as mine were doing...I thought it was thick blades of grass so I was pulling them and tossing them.....then I pulled one that had an acorn size bulb and realized it was a baby liatris......live and learn....there were so many growing in clumps and I thought I would be overrun with grasses. I stopped weeding and will see if the rest come up and if they develop into mature liatris. Wondering if they will bloom the first season from seed.....and I hope they are really liatris seedlings and NOT a weed. I thought you would show a baby liatris seedling. I never covered them as they just dropped from the mother plant and grew....so don't even know if you have to put one to two inches of soil on them.

I bought mine at young bulb stage but my daughter wants to grow them from the seeds I saved. These are Native to Central Texas.

Are those light blue lilies behind the liatris? If so, what are they called and where did you get them?

Not correct to put 2" of compost over the top of the seeds.just a sprinkle of vermiculite is best

Why i hate this channel...one to 2 inches of soil will guarantee it wont even sprout.
