- recently the jtoh developers have released a new update, this update has the ability to level the playing field between mobile and pc and may change jtoh as we know it..

this is really helpful, however, the dot they added for mobile is way too big, it should be smaller so we could do tightropes even easier.
agreed, synnwave is doing a great job however there could be some improvements, hopefully that will be fixed in the future

fun fact: there are many other hidden movement options not found in most games. The dpad happens to be one of them. i cant remember the others off the top of my head other than touchpad.
iirc, there was one that was similar to the default settings, but it was just 8 directions, making it not far off from using WASD. that was my favorite and go-to movement option back when I used to play roblox mobile and its sad that its not there anymore :(

That really helps Mobile players which is awesome! When you go to the jtoh menu tab and go to settings, there are more things you can activate for mobile players such as Alignment keys, 2 modes of DPad, The point in the center of the screen to do tightrope sections easy.
yup just noticed that earlier with the two types, definitely helps more, great to see the devs (synnwave) helping the different devices out
Roblox's new physics a month or two ago relatively made tightropes easier. Tower of Linonophobia could be considered more accurate by many and maybe even easier than ToLL, ToDaD.
yeah, tightropes are still a nuisance though and this helps to level it out more

I’ve been on mobile for 5 years now and since the jump button is in the same place as the move button it’ll probably take me a long time to get used to that and it may make me do worse in boss fights so I’ll either stick with the joystick and the separated jump button or I’ll try to get used to this new feature
no this feature is only for when you need it, it’s easy to switch between them, using it to jump is nearly impossible, keep the normal joystick and only use this when it is absolutely necessary
there’s something unique to mobile: diagonal method.
what is this method and why is it good? well, you walk diagonally on tightropes with this method, not going too forward. this method is good since it is different from walking straight. when you walk straight, if you did not manage to stay on it you will fall. However, with diagonal method, you have a more consistent hitbox, and climbing animation will happen if you manage to be a bit too backwards. This is a W method

Man this brought back memories from 2017/2018 where this dpad thing was in all games until it was turned off by default or something idk it randomly disappeared and it was kinda sad bcs the dpad was the goat of the joysticks for mobile

Omg bro i just had a flashback of the dpad's existence from roblox before, i used to get used to it and use it as my main controls, sadly it got removed and was forgotten by some people 😢
Back then years ago i used the dpad, since it was the easiest, but they removed it, i hope they add it again
also one limiting factor is some mobile devices are quite powerful, but the game won’t allow you to use all that potential, and assumes that your device is low end.

I used to play on mobile but it was in the early days of when Roblox still had a Dpad, it was pretty cool honestly.
I play on PC now and I see why it was good. Nowadays mobile movement is unprecise, innacurate, and chaotic. PC has straightforward, precise, and accurate movement.

jtoh added a bunch new stuff for mobile, including alignment keys, a center dot, and the ability to customize your ui layout. imo, i think they should add a lag button since its pretty hard to lhj on mobile

@@Xen0sGam buddy, I’ve been playing roblox for damn near 7 years, I know what the hell im talking about. diagonal strat is consistent but there’s always the chance that you misalign your joystick and fail, or that you get a mobile physics glitch, or that you bounce. there’s any number of things that could happen. don’t act like a genius man, everything I showed in this video is more consistent than the diagonal strat, trust me

@@Xen0sGam don’t use dpad the entire time, only for tightropes. I used to struggle with tok when I first started playing but eventually I came back and beat it first try. just take your time and u will beat it man, I believe. if you are struggling with any specific part lmk i can try to help. I know there’s a tightrope on f2 that I used to mess up as well as the killbrick launcher tightrope.

@@xondisw I think it’s something that only certain games can do. not entirely sure however, it’s either grabbed from the old files or roblox gives permissions to popular games (bee swarm, etc.). im assuming the devs found the old file or some sort of script to add it. pretty cool either way
waht annoys me most about mobile is t-posing cuz when you are trynna move the screen it activates and i just cant be bothered to unequip it.

I play mobile and I never had a complaint about not having a d-pad for obbys it’s just a matter of precision.

Tightropes on mobile can easily be done by jumping constantly, the jumping allows subtle movements with mobile controls.

@@trxceles3 I didn’t know you responded, but what type of glitches are you referring to?
@@KT3OD sometimes your character will slip down on the tightrope (usually if you accidentally go a little too far to the side, which is like 0.1-0.3 studs different depending on the tightrope you are on) and start getting stuck until eventually you get pushed off, another is randomly, despite keeping the same angle the entire time you will get a bounce (climb on edge and because you are holding jump it pushes you backwards off the edge), and lastly, the middle of your character will do the same thing as the first glitch, if you are walking and/or jumping in the middle of your character it will slip down with half of your characters legs above and half below and you will likely get pushed off.
keep in mind this is only for small tightropes < 0.5 studs

Controller players have it even worse than mob but it’s still fun which is why I still play lol
controller has added alignment as well as some other bug fixes, thankfully the devs are good at keeping all platforms up to date

DPad isn't made by juke, it was made by roblox but the DPad is kinda been found in any other game, some game aren't have any DPad
every single game I’ve played hasn’t had DPad, I never said it was made by juke I either said “jtoh just released” or “the jtoh devs”, it was actually made by synnwave who replaced click to move with the dpad due to click to move being buggy in jtoh
Some people jtoh fan that who didn't know and old player thought it was made by juke or something, but sometime youtuber roblox player might be not posting about DPad since they didn't knew it
Dpad and thumbpad are kind of discontinued in roblox’s eyes, but they still let devs enable them if they want to, bee swarm sim has them

@@midnightshadow9396 fyi, it was out in 2018, and roblox removed it in the end of 2018. it has never been available since then, only now *just* this game rereleased the dpad, it is in fact a new feature.

I’ve been playing for 5 years as well and I don’t think you understand the mobile physics. if it “looks like you’re bouta fall”. 9 time out of 10 jumping will bounce you off, humans also don’t really have that reaction time. On top of that the “just walk” part is plain stupid. it’s impossible to have a perfect line up, hell there are some times that I entirely miss the tightrope because I accidentally moved my joystick slightly in the wrong direction. “Just walk” is some of the stupidest advice I’ve ever heard, it just does not work. physics, glitches, sweat, cracked screens, everything contributes to it. either the only tightropes you have done are 1 studs or you are literally Jesus.

If it’s your opinion then it’s fine but if you said “research” it’ll be the opposite of being fine
I was using that as an example, I’m obviously not gonna stop on every single tightrope just to do this, that was the quickest and easiest tightrope I could get to in game to show. the only time this would be insanely useful is for new hardest towers where your nerves are off the charts and you have the possibility of failing. Also this is a 0.1 stud not 0.01, second yes tightropes are easy as hell but for new players starting out it may be difficult, third, literally the person that beat tovh on mobile said this is insanely useful

@@boatstiger0198 that was toam fianl stretch, considering they had the skill to beat toam and yet failed that shows its not 100% consistent, using the strat i showed in this video would make this jump nearly impossible to fail

@@Naburgondux screen is smaller, bad refresh rate, possible input delay (especially depending on the game), plus my point still stands not everybody has access to or has enough of a budget to spend money on that, among a few other things
@@trxceles3 "screen is smaller",when you put your two thumbs in it,it becomes even smaller,and it shouldn't have any delay, because its is in the USB protocol,so if in the pc there's no delay,in mobile there's no delay too,and the "refresh rate" point doesn't make sense, because even with touch controls you WILL have the same refresh rate as with the physical setup,the only point that stands is the price,and yet the full setup ( if pointed towards maximum money save) should be less than 40$.
