    Hi and thank you for this clear tutorial.
    I think, you can bridge all the circles in same time and without "Dissolve faces", by selecting "Loop Pairs" in "Connect Loop"

      Thank you so much for this tip. I will try it out. There are still many things i don't know in Blender, but what i know so far pleases me a lot :-) Kind regards, Peter

    any suggestions on making the hinge open and close, I tried by parenting one side to my 6 panel door and the other to the door frame, and there is a pin in the middle, I can open the door but the hinge doesn't stay on the pin.

    Hi Peter, how did you make the vertex to a square in a 1:1 ratio?

    • @stammpe2
      @stammpe2  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya, it's a very simple vertex bevel. All the best, Peter

    • @hkmanfukyaz
      @hkmanfukyaz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had the same problem, it's because the bevel function applies itself based on the object scale, look into 'Clear & Apply' function in Blender particularly with scale. Try to swap to object mode, select the whole object and press Ctrl + A and then swap back to edit mode and re-apply the vertex bevel and it should be uniform.

    Nice tutorial, one little comment though...i don't think you needed to poke the faces when you were looking to set the cursor to the center of your object, when you select those circles Blender automatically picks the center of the face :)

    Hi Peter, great to see you back!! I have a noob question, what about of all Ngons that you left behind? Thank you!

    • @stammpe2
      @stammpe2  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, There is no black or white answer to this. If the surface is flat and not to be animated then it's no problem, except it has to be exported to an application which can not deal with n-gons. It's also ok when it is exported to a game engine, because game engines convert everything to triangles. (Look at the great work of Tor Frick.) Kind regards, Peter

    Thank you for yet another great tutorial, Peter! I have a question: which software feels more comfortable and efficient to work with, Blender or Modo?

      The Bend tool in Blender is really bad

    • @snakedogman
      @snakedogman 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Robert Andegaven But the experience is certainly much improved in 2.8.

    • @stammpe2

      Well, that is a difficult one to answer because i like both. MODO surely still has some advantages, especially material and other libraries. I also miss the workplane but i am sure i will find ways around that in Blender. Some of the modifiers and tools in blender are still far away from intuitive, but with the growing interest of the CG industry i am sure there will be interesting things coming. Kind regards, Peter
