  • Linda is a Graduate of The Clothing Bank programme.
She is married with 4 children, living in Maitland.
Before joining TCB her life was tough.
"TCB changed everything about me. Now I am a better person because now I am willing to do things. I have savings in the bank. I am debt-free these days. I am free from the stress of debt and not knowing what is next.
Shopping at working at TCB is a privilege. It takes heart. You need to be strong to get where you want to go.
These days I can rent a flat and I can put my children into good schools. All because I worked hard, took all the opportunities that TCB gave me, and never gave up on myself. Growing my business has changed my life.
I purchased an Avanza. Next, I want to open my own shop in a busy place with lots of customers.
My top tip for other small business owners is don't give up. No matter what circumstances. Never give up. Think clever about your business. Business is all about ups and downs.
    1. If you have too much stock - have a sale - bring back the money into your business.
    2. If you bundle items together, it looks fresh for customers.
    3. Go online, use social media. I use Facebook MarketPlace and WhatsApp
    4. Call your previous customers and tel them about your products and facebook.
    5. Display your products in areas with a lot of people and traffic.
    6. Display what you sell nicely.
    7. You must also dress well to present yourself.
    8. Don't give up.
