  • Music Factory Records Presents 'Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix'
Music Factory Records proudly introduces the Tropical Nites: Ursula 1000 Remix, the lead single from Tropical Nites: Remixes and Lost Tracks by Roman Angelos. The EP includes fresh remixes by Ursula 1000, Blake Madden (Hotels), and Scott Solter, plus unreleased tracks. This vibrant remix of Tropical Nites delivers a lush tropical soundscape with bird calls, ambient environments, and a bossa-lounge beat, making it perfect for poolside summer vibes or cocktail parties.
Roman Angelos, the alias of Brooklyn-based producer Rich Bennett, explores his love for 60s and 70s library recordings, muzak, and exotica. His band includes Bennett on guitar, Brittany Anjou (vibraphone), Ben Zwerin (bass), Spencer Cohen (drums), Dennis Boolyoins (percussion), Rose Rutledge (flute), Kai Sandoval (trumpet), Nadav Nirenberg (trombone), and Diedre Rodman-Struck (piano). Ursula 1000 adds his signature retro grooves to the mix, transforming it into a sonic experience.
    Grammy Consideration
Tropical Nites is up for Best Tropical Latin Album in the first round of the 2024 Grammys (October 4th-15th). Bennett commented:
“I’ve admired Ursula 1000’s work since the early 2000s. His remix of Tropical Nites brings a perfect new setting for this music. The birds and tropical sounds he added took it to another level.”
The remix will also be available in a limited vinyl run (five lathe-cut records) at Roman Angelos’ live shows, designed by UK artist MJ Langthorne. It's a must-have for any vinyl enthusiast!
