Yep it has literally been scientifically proven that extended periods of total isolation can do irreparable harm to the human mind but you're right the prison system in this country literally doesn't care just want to punish the individuals they honestly seem to see more as problems than people
Props to Billy, he totally shouldn't have done it, but in doing it he demonstrates a lot of qualities that most people don't have that would make him very effective if he put them to use in more productive ways.
In Germany it's not illegal to escape from prison. If they catch you, you can be punished for crimes you might have commited to achieve the escape, but you can't get punished for the escape itself - because it's normal that everyone wants to be free (that's why prison is a punishment in the first place). Somehow that fascinates me 😅
