Spent much of my life lost and confused. After a lot of hard work and a lot of luck I was given a second chance and I’m making the best of it every day.
I’m working to help others, do cool things with cool people and leave the world just a little bit better then I found it.

Resilience and Reinvention: The Inspiring Journey of Professor Sue Black
In this episode, we dive into the inspiring journey of Professor Sue Black, a prominent figure in the tech world and an advocate for women's empowerment. Sue shares her remarkable story of resilience, beginning with her challenging childhood, which included dropping out of high school, becoming a young mother, and escaping life-threatening abuse. Despite these obstacles, Sue dedicated herself to education, ultimately earning her PhD and achieving recognition as one of Forbes' top 50 women in tech.
As a professor of computer science at Durham University, Sue has founded significant initiatives such as BCS Women, the UK's first online network for women in tech, and Tech Up Women, which helps women access career opportunities in technology. Her efforts extend to working with the UN on digital skills for underserved communities. Additionally, Sue played a pivotal role in the campaign to save Bletchley Park, the historic site where codebreakers, including Alan Turing, made significant contributions during World War II, and authored a book to honor these unsung heroes.

In some ways, the inmates sound more sane than the general populace Voting for core issues rather than for a "side" makes much more sense to me Especially since both Democrats and Republicans lean right on a lot of economics
How do you get a hotel room for 30 something dollars?
Yeah that’s not “Depression” lol that is sadness. Saying you were depressed is like saying people who day dream have schizophrenia.
We vote her in a president and make concerts national holidays! F it! Let's add more clowns to the circus that we've become as a country! Haha
❤❤❤❤
AMERICA'S SUPERMAN PRESIDENT DONALD J TRUMP!!!!❤🇺🇸👍
A French press and electric kettle will allow you to make good coffee easily in your room.
Microwave the water. Looks like he’s got one. Often they offer hot water on tap for tea.
Democrats are violent...always and Obama the great divider started the decay in the US
Lame and dumb 😅
This is why representation matters, suddenly black men were able to see themselves as presidents. I never even had that idea for myself. I didnt even think Id see a woman president in my lifetime, despite there beung female world leaders every where but I never thought the US would be progressive, but here where are. Even if Harris isn't the ideal woman president (no woman could ever meet that expectation), it's truly a beautiful moment for our country. It's poetic even, knowing someone like her has a good chance at beating a man like Trump.
Agreed Trump's way of speaking seems to bring out meanness in people. I'm not sure it's intentional or if it's something that was happening anyway. It's shocking to see the little grey haired lady in church talking about hunting people down that don't agree
Are you watching the MSM? Trump supporters don't hunt people down . I remember the Summer Of Love, and those were not Trump supporters . J 6 was an inside job. People are in jail for TRESPASSING. They were not one of the violent ones . The Blaze uncovered a lot from camera footage from J 6 . They received the footage when Republicans gained control of the house . Trump pardoned several people who were in prison for years while he was president. Trump signed the first step act.
Democrats are the mean ones...the vile crap coming out of their mouths is disgusting
Agree!
Take a look around. When people make mid-western jokes or jabs, now you’ll know what they’re referring to.. Lol😅
I like green grapes & love cucumbers w salt & pepper too. $30 something bucks is a good deal for what you’re getting. Stay safe & keep being excited about what you’re doing! I get happy for you. Wish I could do it. Maybe you’ll get to explore Europe one day. I lived there almost 10yrs & loved it. ❤️
Jesse, you are so smart!!! What an achievement!!!! Congratulations!!!!😊
Someone needs to gift you a Costco membership. You can get a rotisserie chicken for $5.99 and they're not bad!
You can get a rotisserie chicken from both Walmart and Publix for $5 lol
@Hc-su5kx Yeah, I recommended Costco for a reason
I feel the same way.
Be safe have fun😊
This is good advice, but it definitely won't work on everyone. Some of us can never naturally bore/bring ourselves back from that state, and some of us can be nearly catatonic for days/weeks at a time.
It looks like you are enjoying some delicous foods. Good luck to you.
Friend, you gotta give it time. You JUST started this endeavor, you’re not going to have all those answers yet, but that’s the entire point of your journey, eventually you will. You don’t have to have it all figured out yet, none of us do!
Do you plan to stop there along your trip?
Whats your degree?
Only in ohio😂😂❤❤
That is really wonderful
Sometimes you can just do things for fun and discover a plan along the way :) I hope it goes well
Just enjoy wandering around and meeting new people ❤. It's the journey you must just BE! 🎉
How is the writing going? Make sure you’re not using your traveling and moving about as an excuse for not getting your writing done.
Follow the good weather. That’s the advice I’ve gotten from the travelers I have met 🤙🏽
You know I've said after my daughter graduates and is on her own. I was just going to move around to like a new place every month or so. Airbnb it and if some place feels like I want to stay ill stay lol your making me double think my plan!
If your work is what you love to do then you have magic. I love being a nurse, but I don't only live at the bedside. My family is a part of my career in that they come with me to work medical tents, medical mission trips, they go with me to cities where I attend nursing conventions. I enjoy every moment of what I do. That's all the good stuff. Enjoy it.
Keep going! Proud of you!
How do I reach out to you
When I was young, I was very poor and lived in a very strict home. When I was able to leave, I spent many years adventuring. Then, I became a parent, and I did what I could to help everyone. I grew very tired. Then, one year, I declared a year of "no." I told my spouse, I told my friends. A year of no is like a jubilee. It comes rarely, and it is when you ask those who love you to help you stop from volunteering. You are focusing on asking yourself if you really, truly want to do something. It's about learning to listen to yourself. It isn't done out of laziness or greed or avoidance, but it is done with the idea that you have a right to own your time. It is a conscious act. Good friends will help. They ask if you are sure. Find balance. You cannot be everything all of the time for everyone. Just be you in the now with those who happen to be there. That's enough. You can throw yourself back into the fray after a rest.
Decisions are exhausting, indeed. Even without prison experience.
TAYVOODOO😝😝😝😝😝😝😙😙😙😙
That's funny.😂 Now I don't feel so alone. Only, I forget because I'm old. 😂
Welcome to Columbus! ❤ It would be awesome to meet you!
Hey! I'm sorry that this is off-topic, but I was wondering if you've heard about the resentencing of the Menendez brothers? And if you have, as a former prisoner, how do you feel about the chance of them to have their second chance like you did?
Please give yourself a break! You will accomplish what you want. Have fun doing it. Stay safe
Love the hat.
It’s not just her unfortunately. Vans Warped tour used to be 20 bucks a ticket when I was going in 2015-2018. They’re bringing it back 2025…. Tickets are seriously like 600 dollars each right now.
Don’t keep up this journey if you’re doing it because you think everybody on Tic Tok or/ You Tube expect it of you. Maybe you should consider moving to a place that really interests you, maybe somewhere in Colorado? Boston? Philadelphia? Do this journey if you’re so compelled to do so. Otherwise, maybe you’re supposed to be looking for a home base in the process?🤷♀️
I can help! Eggs are a quick easy source of protein and I can teach you to make perfect hard boiles ones! You will need a pot with a tight lid, a steamer basket and a dozen eggs. Leave your eggs on the counter for an hr. or 2 to bring them to room temp. Add 1.5" of water to the bottom of the pan. Bring it to a boil, put 9 to 12 eggs in basket and carefully set them in the pan. Put the lid on and cook for 12.5 minutes. Immediately put them in an ice bath. Bonus tip. If you submerge them in water first, and look for any with bubbles comming out, they are cracked. Put them aside and use those for something else in the next 48+/- hrs. They are usually still good to eat, just not for hb.
As well as you are doing, have you considered therapy? Huge help and portable ❤ #stayfocesed
❤️
This is why I’m a big fan of the concept of a sabbath. While the idea came from religion, one doesn’t have to be religious or even spiritual to prioritize a scheduled day of rest every so many days. You can use it for reflection, for recreation, or for actual physical rest. I think it’s a concept & a value we need to cultivate more in our society.
Training wheels need to come off at some point.
Empty nesters actually feel the same way. They try to find meaning in their new freedom but it feels like abandonment in the beginning.
Welcome! It’s a beautiful day in Columbus! Let me know if I can buy you dinner. Also, walk into anywhere and yell O-H to make instant Buckeye friends.💜
Thank you. I have a business dinner then I’m planning on cooking to save money! Always happy to meet people if there is time
FYI should you hear O-H, the appropriate response is I-O! It’s not a cult, it’s just Columbus enthusiasm.🙃
As an Ohioan from the Columbus area, I'm shocked and confused. Someone wants to willing come here,
Sometimes it’s about the journey, not the destination.💜
Came here to say this. Learning is what happens while we're planning our lives.
This! I's go so far as to say that the journey IS the destination! It's actually the entire point. Nothing has to have specific meaning, and you don't need a better reason than you wanted to or you felt a pull or call or urge to go to that place or do that thing.
