But if you choose boring football because it is simple and easy to play, you should play boring football well. England played boring football poorly in 2024. We only have to compare with England in 2022 and 2021 to know the team can easily do better.

I agree with what you are saying. England's performance has indeed improved greatly under Southgate (reaching semifinals in 2018 world cup, quarterfinals 2022 world cup, Euro runner-ups twice in a row), but under Southgate the team has hit a ceiling and needs a new coach to take it to the next tournament-winning level.
He made England extremely strong in 2021. He did make England stronger than Spain in the final only to get taken down by Spain. Twice that England came runners up. Southgate is all about making the England extremely strong and that's it. England are well coordinated and well cohesive but less than Spain in the end. He did good things for England by beating the teams that are more stronger in the major tournaments which were Columbia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Iran, Senegal and Netherlands. I reckon Southgate made a right decision. England needs a new tactical vision. England should play a possession based style.

I don't think it's impossible to do, if we went with a foreign manager it has to be among the well known big name who spent many years in the prem with a winning mentality, don't think Poch is that guy.
If England want to succeed. Must hire a German coach. English coach could never succeed.
Respect to Southgate. He got us out a slump and restored pride and enthusiasm in supporting our national team again. Not the greatest manager in the world but he got us to believe again. He prepared a perfect springboard for the next manager with more experience and skill to get us a trophy. Very honourable to step down now. Hats off to Gareth for that.
The England team can get off their knees now…..literally
nope just be more of the same ,the fa have an agenda
The Southgate years have been the best since the 60s . Thanks for your service Gareth
Southgate and Kane are the reason England failed.
THANK YOU SOUTHGATE!

@@JessePinkmanv this is what I'm saying england fans have very short memories, but it's unsurprising given their international reputation for thuggery
@@JessePinkmanvYeah and didn’t win any…
I'm starting to think that Goldbridge doesn't like Southgate's style of play
Omg I’d take Klopp in a heartbeat. He would get those players to step up to the next level
Massive rumours going about Martinez will get the job once Belgium agree a compensation agreement,
"I'm going to be professional here and say GET IN!" 🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
