There is looking youthful and then there’s trying too hard to look young. Hoodies fall into the later category. It’s embarrassing to see old men wear clothes from a teen’s closet. If you want comfort just get a sweat shirt or better yet a good quality sweater.

I used to follow your advice completely. I stopped wearing graphic tees, stopped wearing clothing with logos and it really did not feel like me. I actually lost confidence and stopped enjoying my clothing. And I also stopped getting compliments on my style. As long as it fits properly, MOST things are okay. Not all, but most, as long as you have a sense of style and it suits you. If everyone followed your advice we would all look like carbon copies of each other like everyone in the 50’s. We have reached a point where clothing can bring enjoyment and spice to life, we don’t all need to be stuck up, wearing v-necks and polos every day. That’s honestly super boring. We don’t all need to dress like car salesman. Nowadays i’m back to wearing what I like. Graphic tees with 2pac, Ice Cube, wicked pictures of cars, Nike logos, Timberland logos. Hoodies, my Costco sweatpants (super comfy lol). I’m back to feeling confident and loving my clothes. And I’m back to getting compliments on my pieces. I feel like doing this will keep you young. Don’t stop wearing that Nike hoodie just because you hit 40 or 50. It adds a bit of youthfulness back into you. You see a grandma wearing a nike hoodie and you think “ok sure, she’s old, but she’s not OLD old, she still has a sense of coolness and style. She doesn’t feel TOO OLD for Nike”. I’ll give credit where it’s due, the tips about the polo collars and not matching your upper and lower, and things like that you are spot on. But don’t be telling ppl not to wear things that they like. That’s not cool man.
Most normal men don't dress like he says we should anyway. Honestly if you follow his advice you're more apt to stick out and look weird than dressing the way you described you enjoy dressing. Fast forward to the late 2010s and I was then/now a built 190 lbs. my jeans are 32 and my shirts/jackets are now a medium. I'm extremely picky with how my clothes fit nowadays. I laugh at my baggy clothes days and I laugh even harder now that the trend is back. I grew up and so did my sense of style. I actually try to look good now. Alpha isn't being careful or conservative...he's trying to teach his followers to actually look good and not just follow trends. As for stripes, I at the very least have to disagree when it comes to vertical stripes, especially university-striped oxford shirts, which are staples of preppy attire.

These shark tank shirts are terrible. I don’t think they even qualify as true polo shirts. I’d just wear a regular dress shirt for that collar if I really wanted it. It’s a shame because the rest of the advice in the video is fairly solid for most guys.
