Just did this on my 2014 740li xDrive. That one screw at the back of the housing was an absolute pain!! One thing different about my F02 N55 was the manifold had two bolts rather than just one. There were still 5 nuts to remove though. Either way, thank you for the detailed video! I'm sure I just saved hundreds with this DIY!
I have a n54 engine. Sometimes when I hit the accelerator it goes into limp mode. I haven't check but do you think there is a leak in vacuums line that cause the turbo to go limp? I have 50k miles on this vehicle and I love the car but going limp mode? I thought I was losing compression because I saw a leak. Love a clean engine I going to fix it myself.
Great video and thank you because it was very detailed. I'm currently working on my 640i coupe 2012. The bottom bolt in the front was and is still the hardest. It actually ended up stripping. Any suggestions?
Hi. Let me explain more in details. Apparently the place where rain water gets drained through the place in the engine compartment, very close place from your previous video about fan fix.
how is the car holding up? i own a e92 335i but i want a bigger sedan and the n55 is little bit more reliable then the n54 but would it more expensive then what i have to trade to a f02 with n55? :)

Eric Rydén you asked the same question in an other video of mine 😉 n54 is more tunable the n55 is single turbo that’s it, both great engines
