When designing a model, one of the things we have to think about is what clearance gap to use between two moving parts so that everyone can print it, regardless of the printer… so we made this test to check it against our printers as a reference! Have you done a clearance test before, how low did you get?!
We made this project using the awesome stuff below and you should too because it's awesome.. (these affiliate links help support us too)

No it's not
It is overrated cause you already have that toaster thingy

I’m more interested in how the hell you made a Apple product compatible with any 3-D printer
Most slicers have a build for MacOS, and Fusion 360 supports it.
This is actually pretty useful in hindsight, could you provide a link to this print for others?
The diameter of the tip is the best way to know how small you can print the gaps without that test

Hi, I'm just curious, I'm looking to purchase a 3D printer do you have any 3d printers that you could recommend? Not too concerned about price unless its something mad like 1000 bucks Thanks :)
I'm also very interested
I like my ender 3 v2, tho it is annoying some times (if you have a micro center near u you can get that printer for $100 it you sign up for a coupon, tho it is a limited deal so it is not always out. FYI the printer about $300 so it is a very good deal) 👍
A printer like the prusa mini is also good for smaller prints

Hey just curious, are the prices of the filament in the video accurate because I have been looking into purchasing a 3d printer and I don’t know if it’s worth it so I was just wondering anyway cya ❤
It's on the slicer. In Bambu labs slicer it says the price of the item being printed
where do i find the model?
There is no stl link in description
How do u catch it midair?
Press record, throw the object up out of frame, catch it. Cut the part of it throwing then right when it's not in frame you start the video

Question, can you just hit your 3d printer withan wrench and get it upgraded to the lvl2 or 3 like engineer does in tf2

Can you use a pipe wrench instead of hammer next time? TF2 Engineer like.

Solid content that is useful! Great job mate
It's worth noting that your machines circle and corner tolerances are likely different. My machine can clear .05 circles with ease but can barely get past .175 on boxes and corners until i refine it further.
Did he really just hit a prusa mk3 with a hmmer
You should try different filaments
What program do you use to model?

What is the best cheap 3D printer
Don’t throw your kitchen filter in no washing machine you won’t have either for too long. Your best bet is to always buy a NEW filter. These people don’t even understand HVAC and they are telling you what to do. Crazy 😂
Like this comment if your have no idea why the hell the comment is only 400+
I never had any good results with 3D printers. It's just a constant calibrating and measuring. Parts I print almost never fit and look crappy even if I set everything correctly. And the longer I adjust the settings, the worse the prints get.
Also I got a printer for almost 300€, so I think I could expect at least good results. But the outer side never looks clean and always has holes or too much plastic at some point. And towards one side the parts are always complete crap on the outside. They get diagonal lines that look and feel so ugly.
So I quit using a 3D printer. It now collects dust and I think I will try to sell it or simply throw it away.
I mean you could just look at the product description to know. Mine prints at 500mm/s and can make print small details down to 0.02mm. So the smallest gap would be 0.02mm.
What program do you use to make 3d models?
What are the upgrades?
I don't know much about 3d printers. I know they are getting super interesting as they become cheaper and easier. I remember seeing the first home ones and my friends struggle to print basically anything. It always came out with the obvious layers showing. Now it is nuts.
Remember watching some dude simply switch his controller and his prints worked faster and came out better. That isn't so shocking as I am aware of how important a good controller with software is. But fun watching an easy swap make drastic results
What program do you use
I don't even know which printer you used. the AMS was definitely connected to a Bambu X1-Carbon, but you showed multiple printers in this video
I did a version of this that was sorta like a bearing, just a bunch of concentric rings with V-shaped cross-sections and increasing gap width as you move away from the center. Good simple way to test, plus it's easy to clean out the gaps if you get some stringing or oozing in them. Plus, free fidget toy afterwards.
I am new to 3D printing, but why Cura changes some measures made in solid works? Its always a little changed dimensions. It's not much, but when something is made with precision model.is ruined because of that
What program is that you’re using to make models? I just started and blender is a little complicated while TinkerCad doesn’t offer enough. The one you’re using seems to be right in the middle.
Show the Califlower/Calilantern from V3D pls... I hate seeing ppl still trying to calibrate with a f*cking 20mm Cube
Bros making my ADHD kick in
I dont have it anymore, and I knoe almost nobody else has the same experience with Ender 3s, but my Ender 3 was able to get atleast .15 mm, maybe .1 mm (atleast which ever I had tested it to) out of the box.
Haha,I can't understand a word you say man...just chill, slow down a bit pal,you can't be in such a hurry to blurt everything out all at once! 😂
You're better off printing a go/no-go guage and juat adjusting for tolerance in the slicer before printing... saves you the trouble of having to reprint and recalibrate for every single filament change.
