- “The Prayer” was an answer to my prayer.
Growing up my brother and I had a difficult time connecting with each other’s musical styles - I liked Hannah Montana, he liked singing Opera at the top of his lungs every morning at 5am. Like most siblings, we struggled to get along. We struggled even more finding songs that we both connected with. We shared the same passion and love for music, we just couldn’t figure out how to communicate with it.
The first time I heard this song, I knew that my brother and I would sing it at my wedding. We had finally found a song that catered to both of our musical languages and I truly felt that this song was written specifically for us. Uniting the world of Opera with the world of Pop was the best thing for our relationship. My promise was kept and I am extremely thankful I got to share this special moment with my amazingly talented brother. ❤️

I am their Mom and this was one moment I will never ever forget!!! 🙏❤️ One that I couldn’t have conceived would happen when they were younger. They were more like oil and water and most of the time I was making them sit together on one of their beds and they couldn’t get off until they could get along. After about 20 minutes they would end up laughing. They always loved each other but they were so different in almost every way. To come to this point was a miracle and this song was the perfect blend of their styles. I am BOTH of their biggest fans! I love to hear my children sing and share their beautiful talents. I thank God for them every day!! 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Unfortunately he does not. I’ve been trying for years to get him to create one. He is absolutely incredible! ♥️ I’m so lucky I got to sing with him.

If you wish another version, try Peter Hollens and his wife Evynne. Both went to the University of Oregon and studied music. Both are singers and they both also sing a cappella. Every time I hear their version I get the shivers. I don’t know if it’s because they obviously love each other but their voices blend so perfectly together it’s a rare treat to listen and watch them. I agree the brother and sister duo did a good job with the song and did it justice.
That was ridiculously brilliant! Imagine having two gifted children like that at home, I’d never stop asking them to sing for me.x

I am 58 years old. I have written my own music and played guitar since my father's passing in 2012. I have been told my music and style of writing music was amazing and should be included in movie soundtracks. I have a beautiful voice. But, this is the most amazing musical duo I have ever had the opportunity to hear in my life. No auto tune [ meaning they make your voice on key and within cyclometric scale and pitch] They should be sharing their gifts with the entire world. Same caliber as the original. Purely, purely superb!!
Go listen to Lifein3d. They are 3 siblings that sing together but the eldest boy and his sister do an equally awesome job at singing this song, which happens to be one of my favorites.

My fraternal twin and I would always sing. We got asked at church functions and community to sing duets. She unfortunately passed away at 46. I feel lost and hearing you and your brother sing together just brought me to a place where I feel whole. Thank you. Your song and voices were beyond words.

I was at my neices wedding and had the privilege of helping with the decorating of the Reception. It was a very beautiful day. It is as also very long and extremely hot. It was outside and until the he sun went down it was very draining! I was very proud of my niece and nephew. This is sung beautifully. It not an easy song to sing especially in another language and to follow in the footsteps of Celine!!!! I think they did wonderful. And poor Trenton her husband is one of the most kind and genuine man you will ever meet. He was exhausted and extremely hot, emotional, tired and as he sat and watched.his new beautiful wife sing, he could hardly move! Anyone who would post comments if how he reacts is very unkind and rude. Nobody knows what that day consisted of, and the minute he finally get s to sit down, he was simply humble, and so grateful for their special day and all those who made it such a special and beautiful day!!! Just seen this. It was beautiful. We played this song at my mothers funeral, everyone was so moved by it, I once played it at home for her, she was not an opera fan lol, honestly, she cried, so full of emotion, never seen her like that. She loved the Bachelors, we played one of theirs too, "I believe", to see her off happily. She would act like a teenager every time she saw or heard them. Such a pleasure to hear someone sing so well without that electronic auto tune echoing synthetic sound that makes you want to ask for a refund. How any true connoisseur of vocal music can listen to auto tuned vocals and appreciate the tiny hollow sound that is produced is beyond me. There are far better unknown singers in the world and composers than what the record label executives force down are throats. Appreciating natural quality vocals has become a lost art in the electronic digital AI age.

Such a fantastic job singing this, and such a beautiful moment for their family. Imagine they actually got to sing with good equipment and a sound engineer...this song will forever hold a special place in my heart, as my wife danced to it with her father at our wedding. Sadly we are no more, but I still love her like no other, so hearing this song makes me smile and breaks me at the same time.

Irma Pastrana ... yes, that was sad. Very sad. The singing from both brother and sister was wonderful. The camera person tried to capture it all. As a professional (paid) camera person myself: a hint for you. Decide (agree with others if need be but that can be a downer too) what the “subject focus” is. Once established; stick to it. In this case, the brother and sister singing was the focus. The only focus! Don’t go looking for crowd reactions. This was not a 7-camera live shoot. The crowd in this case was the viewer “afterwards”. Unfortunately, the “crowd” (audience and/or viewers afterwards, like “now”) were left frustrated with what they viewed. It’s a mistake that I trust you will never make again. Now, to end on a positive note, mom was left delighted that brother and sister didn’t fight (lol/jk), the bride had a dream come true on her wedding day, and the brother was excellent. I’m also sure that when the brother gets married, he will invite his sister for another duet. I also suspect, the camera person will do a few things differently and a lot more steady. (Caveat: perhaps the camera person during the bride’s dream song with her brother was an “uncle or auntie” and, if that was the case, God Bless You as you did the best you could do during the video capture. Take a few thoughts from my comment and go for it! I know you can stay focused and still. And yes, with a single focus, use a tripod. No handheld stuff allowed. 😊)
