This is my first time seeing this audition… I had chills from the moment he started singing! What an incredible, POWERFUL voice! I’m with Howie… I didn’t want it to end, you get lost in the song!

It's not just a case of making recordings, he is still at school and has his future to think about in case his "show business side" doesn't take off. He will be nurtured by Simon over the coming years if he thinks he can be huge but he just can't be thrown into the cesspit of media manipulation and people who will eat him alive. Also he's only 14 so his voice could break within the next year or two so he may not be capable of making recordings after that.

At a Mariners game just before the singing of the national anthem, walking on the main concourse when a voice stops me in my tracks. I have heard the song hundreds of times before at games but when he started singing I thought, "Holy sh1t, who is that?" It turned out to be Benicio. Best live rendition I have ever heard.

He is 14 I doubt he has ever sung for quarter of the crowd that are there… most probably performs in school at weddings, smaller events and local events etc….but to walk on the stage this big takes guts, and he’s been working towards this I expect he a few hundred butterflies.
