    Wow! They cover so much ground (pun intended) in this video! The young woman who interviewed Gabe in this video is really knowledgeable of the topic and asked great questions. I can see where holistic management could be merged together with regenerative farming to put the entire agricultural world on a much better footing for human/planetary health. I imagine that some of the principles involved could possibly be applied to forest management as well. If regenerative farming becomes the norm in agriculture world-wide the amount of carbon sequestered in soil and plants would increase greatly while human/animal/plant health would also be greatly improved. It could be of great benefit to humans and the natural world.

    I am amazed how few people seem to get the concept of soil improvement over time. Big fertiliser companies are like big pharma . The idea is that you become dependent on their products as you get sucked in effectively addicted . The more you use the more you need. Regenerative Agriculture is like permaculture .Education and mindset are the most important issues. This man is great.. an inspiration .

    I have a friend who spoke to a person who raised horses and asked what they do with their manure. They were happy to deliver all their manure to her farm and she now has endless free fertilizer for her soil. They even deliver it so they don't have to take it to a landfill.

    If I had compiled questions for this interview I'm not sure I'd have any further questions. You seriously had him answering every question I've thought of through the years of studying this topic. Answers that I assumed they wouldn't answer just because it cuts too much fat vs finding the answers yourself. Every time he would retort my brain exploded with joy. Great interview! (sorry for making your great interview praises about me- I see it and am working on it 👍)

    I guess many climate activists don't know a heck about regenerative farming. They are always targeting fossil fuel industry but missing the big part of the puzzle. If we could convert all the farming lands in the world to regenerative we could have changed the whole game. There are many more issues to deal with about climate crisis but this is the most urgent solution.

    We raise grass fed and hunt, so I haven't eaten store bought steak for years. I ended up tasting a high dollar grain fed steak awhile back. I could cut it with a spoon, it was so nice and tender. I put it in my mouth, chewed a few times and I couldn't do it. I spit it out! It tasted so bad, I didn't eat another bite. To each their own😂

      @@StrongSistas I wrote this to you before but wouldn't the best solution for 2021 be to have many truckloads of horse and cow manure dropped on to the fields and then cover with straw? You wouldn't have to care for so many animals without fences etc.

    • @StrongSistas
      @StrongSistas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@psmitheasy this was one concern Gabe had -- potentially too much nitrogen! Ruminants are really an important piece of land revival. Plus, will have lamb meat to sell spring 2022 :p

    I way rather support farmers that are good to the planet, their soil and their animals, that save a little money for animals and practices that cause suffering to the animals and that contribute to the death of the planet. We vote with our buck and I'm happy to support the solutions. So, don't think it's a 'hard sell', because it's not. People want to eat cheap and hurtful, that's too bad. You create a solution and option for the rest of us that care and want it.
